  1. Good professional win from the boys everyone chipping in, glad to see drew looking much more confident this week, Jordan bound to be a little off the pace as everyone has already been riding sure he’ll get going in no time, particularly pleased with Heeps pressure win against howarth and Ellis on tac sub, a 5-1 against us there could easily of let them back in to take a point
  2. Richard lawson Eddie kennett surely both better options than proctor you’d imagine, to essentially only score 17 points at home is pretty damn poor early season or not
  3. No berating of Redcar whatsoever, simply stating a fact that ipswich had to wait for his Redcar visa to be approved before they could apply for the secondary visa as baldy had asked if he heard correctly that we only applied for his visa last week! I had no doubt that Redcar will have had the ball rolling on the visa application months ago given how long it’s been known he was in their team - hence I suggested it’s farcical we’ve come to the tapes and it’s still not sorted, but I was not suggesting this is in anyway Redcar or ipswich promotions fault, the whole visa system seems completely backward and outdated imo - something I’m certain will now get worse with brexit
  4. Justice for fact they were on a 5-1 having both blatantly jumping the start - not a single race brought back to the tapes tonight, several races Belle Vue got away with movement and guessing the start tonight! decent opening meeting, lots to improve on from an ipswich perspective, looked like a team that’s now built 2 points under the limit sadly, crump will get sharper I’m sure and kemp will pick up no doubt looked nervous tonight my biggest concern is we’ve got a 3rd heat leader now riding at 5 and we’ve got a second string riding at 3 - I’m a fan of both king and Heeps, both good riders but with the loss of klindt they’re now riding in positions above their level and are going to consistently come up against better opposing numbers home and away
  5. Yes because it’s a secondary visa ippo had to wait for his primary visa submitted by Redcar to be approved which got held up for some unknown reason but we couldn’t apply until that one was done - farcical given how long the teams have known he’s riding for their teams
  6. Bit for a joke this visa stuff, how long have that had to sort it out!? Frustrating also that it’s down to the Redcar promotion not getting it sorted in time and not ours! Strange how jake only decided to come back a couple of weeks ago and Jordan has been all winter yet jakes is sorted and Jordan not
  7. Perhaps but equally, I’d bite your hand off for 3 points from any away meeting all season! Great result nevertheless
  8. Hahahahahaahahahahahaahahahashahahahahahsahahahshahahaahahaahahahahahahahahaahahahahaahahaahahahahaha. up the witches! that is all
  9. Careful stu pragmatism doesn’t go down well on the bsf hahaha completely agree pal, and if over the season an extra £2 off roughly 1-2000 fans a meeting makes the difference of the speedway clubs surviving i’m all for it!
  10. Been away for a while, just haven’t felt enthused to talk about speedway! hope everyone’s doing ok Stewart and Rowe two very good signings imo, I assume kemp will be the rising star? Strange not to announce him at same time!? Always been impressed with Stewart he’s gotten better every time I’ve seen him race, be great as he says learning with crumpy as well for sure
  11. Absolutely appreciate my stance isn’t going to necessarily be widespread - I’d say we get good attendance at Ipswich all season long, don’t notice the difference between Thursday or Saturdays, just hope we get a decent ish seasons worth of speedway
  12. Personally I hate it when Ipswich run meetings on a Saturday as I get grief from the mrs, there’s always some other social event speedway will clash with on a Saturday night whereas I have very little problems on a Thursday evening! I appreciate on the wider scale running on weekends rather than a school night would likely open up to more people likely to go but I can’t see I’d be the only regular at a weeknight team that would miss more meetings should it switch to a weekend!
  13. So what’s the riding order? Crump look fast?
  14. I think you’ll find the contributions are firmly in camp of someone deeply involved with everything Peterborough
  15. Didn’t think there would ever be a more mind numbing thread on this forum than gavan arguing with poole fans but some how this one has managed it
  16. I think bewley could be in the gp in 5 years time, depends how determined he is
  17. They stopped it a few years back, something to do with if they allowed the public in it would count as an event and they’d have to license it and pay a fee or something
  18. That’s a shame, can’t see them letting anyone in then, have to climb a tree over by the 4th bend to catch a look
  19. This must be one of those isolated incidents, took 2 seconds to find on YouTube, simply by searching for “Nicki pedersen speedway” no mention of crashes/incidents in the search yet 10 of the top 12 hits are of crashes and incidents - there’s a correlation there and denying it is just blind, he has a reputation for a reason. I’m no Nicki hater but imo he crosses the line and I’m sure if you asked his peers they’d agree
  20. JD a tough rider, give him half a space he’s going to be ruthless - no different to lindgren, zmarzlik and most of the other riders fighting for world championship at the sharp end, crump, gollob were always ruthless racers as were many other world champions including Nicki - where Nicki has differed over the years is consistently is taking it one stage further and rather than just racing hard deliberately riding the man into the fence, he’s also guilty of laying on people taking the fall and conning the ref countless times throughout his career - I agree with you Nicki can be treated harshly at times as a result of his reputation but frankly he has himself to blame imo
  21. Can see wright hitting 7 this year, he’s steadily improved year on year, home track at belle vue will suit him too
  22. not sure it would've been that difficult to fit the three of them in tbh - could swap niels and lambert for riss and proctor, no lambent isn't going to pull up trees but scores at lynn, think i know who id prefer as my third heat leader and proctor was woeful last season, no guarantees he turns it around this year is there
