  1. That’s fair, if berge is better on your home track then makes sense you ride half your meetings there, ironically I have seen berge ride owlerton once and he had a poor meeting that night! still maintain that berge may be talented but has never reached the same levels of consistency as josh, he was signed at Belle Vue with everyone expecting him to score well there and didn’t really do it
  2. Berge is toilet, he’s always been toilet 3,0,0,1,0 is his usual, auty may not be the best rider but he’s been a consistent 7.5-8.5 rider in second tier for 8+ years now berge has never shown anything like that kind of consistency
  3. Tbf we could do a lot worse than greaves as a 3 point man at the bottom, rides Foxhall well! i for sure thought haertel looked like he had some talent, very big lad for a speedway rider though, what sort of average would huckenbeck be on?
  4. Jan kvech, Fred Jacobsen, Jonas jeppesen would be three I’d be after all good prospects
  5. I’d imagine berntzon would be assessed at 6.5, quite an experienced international rider now
  6. Massively improved his consistency over past two seasons though - hence his significant increase in average, can actually make starts too a rare trait for anyone in a witches suit
  7. How can you go backwards from stone last in the league?
  8. Pickering average would be more like 4.65 I believe
  9. Nicki P and Josh Bates as a pairing could be chaos in the first turns
  10. Bacon would be a good shout rides Foxhall very well - not certain of the conversion rate this season but 5.20 in champ so less than 3.5 plus Brit reduction
  11. I really hope lawson is not retained tbh, he had some good meetings, won some big races for us but generally was far too inconsistent and was consistently found out at the business end of the season with his average dropping from 6.55 - 5.78 over the season for me he was disappointing. I see no value in bringing him back he’s not going to improve, he’s a second division bully where he’s knows he’s one of the best but doesn’t have the mental steel to really take on the big boys
  12. Very good assessment imo, I would just add if he can go from 1 or 2 starts out of 5 to 4 out of 5, he’d quite easily go from 3rd heat leader to no.1 material in championship! No one in this league he can’t beat but it’s easier from the front!
  13. Could you quantify how you can claim the 95%? How is this measured? Have you a graph you could show your data on!? Or is this assessment once again like all of your proposed teams, across multiple threads, using multiple aliases, complete conjecture? I’m not the best at maths so this could be the incorrect method but if you’re 95% sure it’ll be one of these two teams, does that mean you’re only 42.5% sure of either team meaning there’s a 57.5% chance that both of them are incorrect?!
  14. Chris Louis has been quoted that the sale never actually went through
  15. Does king get a reduction!? I thought they reduced that reduction to only the first 3 seasons in top flight or something silly like that?
  16. Imo team 1 - no improvement in reserves which is a negative team 2 while I rate him highly at this stage Ellis is barely a 3rd heat leader and no way a no.5 right now
  17. Good to see Doyle endorsing Nicki coming back to uk on twitter and saying he hopes more top boys will follow! Went on to argue with polish fans saying it’s too difficult to schedule riding all leagues....his reply “well I won the world title riding all the leagues so can’t be that hard!!”
  18. Agree, and I’m not anti Danny king, he’s been a loyal servant and ridden well for us over the years but the truth is Danny is what he is a solid 3/4th best rider in the team that year or year averages 6.5-7, there isn’t the potentially to suddenly take a leap and he’s not quite good enough against the real top boys in big races on big meetings consistently. The size of his average at 6.83 stifles the opportunity to bring another strong rider at the top and or strong reserves at the bottom end
  19. Hypothetical team suggestion - if we imagine a world where actually King isn't at Ipswich next season and stays at Sheffield. Bjerre 7.75 Allen 5.56 Klindt 7.43 Heeps 6.30 Niels 7.54 Jeppesen 4.00 Stewart 3.82 42.40 no brits which would be a shame but would be a serious force imo - both klindt and bjerre were absolutely superb at foxhall this season as visiting riders.
  20. Why because somehow you were in the know and rather than let the club announce what they’ve described as their biggest ever signing, you thought it was a good idea to share the news before they had - smug something for sure! congrats to sheffield on the signing of Nicki, look forward to seeing you in the top flight next year
  21. I like bagpuss didn’t think niels had the best time of it at lynn in 2018 and seemed less and less happy on their track whereas he seemed instantly pretty comfortable on the Ipswich track and really truly most of his dropped points were from the starts - understandable as the material being so different over here getting the set up perfect for getting out of the traps dialled in often takes a few meetings at the start of the season
  22. Pretty much agree with all of this! i think anyone suggesting niels was a huge disappointment is perhaps being somewhat naive and had unrealistic expectations of what he’d do in just a short stint having not ridden in uk all year and crucially not having ridden the Foxhall track in years - did he get 14/15 every meeting no - did he win important races that the outgoing riders wouldn’t have done to give a better chance yes - did he have two races in the home leg of the grand final pulled back while leading only for the old favourite of the opposition to make great starts in the reruns yes! imo he showed his class at times and while I had hoped for a bit better he wasn’t far off and I would say I don’t think you would find a better rider on 7.54 Ever considered maybe Niels would prefer to ride for Ipswich or another team rather than kings lynn!? You make it sound like if he rides here it’s up to kings lynn where that might be and not Niels!!?? Are far as I’m aware he’s not even a kings lynn asset
  23. So now with the 42.5 limit confirmed I would *realistically like: niels 7.54 klindt 7.43 king 6.83 heeps 6.30 allen 5.56 pickering 4.65 stewert 3.82/jeppesen 4.00 42.13/42.31
