  1. In my opinion 7.61 is an inflated average for tungate - he’s a 6.5 man hans had a horrendous year off the track and I think with that behind him and a clearer head then yes he’s going to improve on last year, and could as suggested put a point back on harris it really depends on if his wrist injury has healed properly as it never really did last year he quite clearly just couldn’t hold on or turn properly a lot of the time, but being honest he’s been in decline for the last few years and I just don’t view him as a consistent heat leader/Heavy scorer anymore nicholls will likely do well at reserve however his level has dropped in a big way in the past couple of seasons imo, have watched him at Ipswich for 20 years now - his back yard and in the past couple of seasons he’s been well beaten around Foxhall by some very ordinary riders in both championship and premiership I don’t see him averaging much more than 6 really Merely my opinion not knocking any of the riders - just can’t see all 6 of the so far announced riders all putting a point on their average as you suggested
  2. I rate pboro but can’t see a point improvement in everyone personally, palm toft at 6.3 is about the highest he’ll avg - he’s good value to maintain that but can’t see him going north of 7, can’t see tungate getting up to 7.59 either 7 as a threshold imo, nicholls and hans will improve I think and possibly bomber with a more preferred home track - is niels really gonna go up to 8.54?? More like 8 max imo, not knocking anyone just think you’re over exaggerating
  3. Does anyone know when press and practise is scheduled?
  4. Thought last years suits were very good, never understand people moaning they can’t tell who’s who - they tell you before the race who’s in it, as does the program and they were different colour helmets to differentiate
  5. Chris’s commitment to improving the track has to be commended, every off season he’s looking to improve the shape for the benefit of the racing and fans
  6. Very difficult to make predictions before we’ve seen a few meetings - I do however think the league like it’s going to be very close this year, no one looks like they’re going to run away with it and similarly no one looks like they’re going to be tailed off either. Home form will be paramount for everyone
  7. Still don’t get every off season people rating berge, flaky and inconsistent....consistently
  8. I’d be trying to get josh Pickering if I was pboro management with 4.8 left
  9. It’s really hard to know what level Jason is going to be at having been out for so long, but he’s a competitive sportsman, and throughout his career probably one of the most competitive characters in the sport - he hated losing. I can’t see he’d be doing this if he thought he’d make himself look a dick, he’s a 3 time world champion no way he’s going to be satisfied not being competitive and scoring 2 points
  10. It’ll go one of two ways for me - crump will drop a couple of points and then drew will be exchanged for a 5.5 man and we’ll be stronger at the bottom, or he’ll show his class be a comfortable no.1 still and we’ll have a strong spearhead in him and nic who are both historically good gaters. bit of a left field signing but either way I’m rather looking forward to the season
  11. The airfence makes the corners ride a lot narrower doesn’t it
  12. But we’d still always have a strong reserve in covatti/Heeps/Allen anyway
  13. If the mystery rider in question is Chris holder then it would still be my choice to have him in the team. that would give us a second rider who can win big races under pressure against opposing top riders, a weakness the witches demonstrated at the business end of the season
  14. Fact - you’re a troll, who single handedly makes the bsf painful reading on a daily basis.
  15. In my opinion it’ll be Chris holder, he’s had trouble with the authorities in the last couple of years regarding visas and they all just want to have that visa absolutely guaranteed before they release the news he’s our 7th and final team rider, if this comes to fruition I’ll be happy with the team and think we’ll be right in there amongst them
  16. its pretty built up around ipswich to be fair, don't have too much trouble with complaints as the track was there since the 50's, just have to respect the 10pm curfew
  17. Jensen came in at reserve and put 3 points on his average, sounds like a pretty strong reserve to me
  18. Agree, who wouldn’t want a former world champ in their team? Best showing yet in the Aussie champs this morning only dropping a point in heats and 2nd to Fricke in final who let’s face is the best rider there on current form, he did however beat Fricke in heats and semi final
  19. If you say so, are you a regular?? The figures have been quoted in the local press down the years for various meetings, when the crowds been big and low, having been at virtually every home meeting for almost 30 years now I’d say I have a pretty good grasp of the numbers. from the start of last season being back in the top flight I’d argue there was 2-300 more on the terraces right from the start, from a handful of meetings into the season that had increased further due the success the team was having on track, in addition to this rather than typical one or maybe two of the sponsor boxes being in use 3 or 4 were used pretty much every meeting, will all of them full for the playoffs, we consistently had 1300-1500 in the championship peaking at close to 3000 in championship playoff meetings, so I don’t think my estimations are far out at all all the best
  20. Ipswich get at least 1500 as a minimum I’d say and most meetings last season were 2000-2500+
