  1. https://ipswichwitches.co/ipswich-v-belle-vue-raceday-preview-2/ so another new riding order as KP heads to reserve and jake into the team 1 harris 2 heeps 3 king 4 allen 5 lawson 6 kennett 7 pieszczek personally i would have gone with lawson at 2, heeps 3 and danny at 5 but hey ho, i think all the boys have shown at different time they can score from most positions in the team - either way would like to see a vastly improved performance from bomber this week - 3+1 simply not enough despite those all being vital for the win last week. busk jakobsen in at reserve for belle vue - ironic given he essentially replaces wells his replacement at poole with Aarnio only riding a meeting or two given his recent injury woes! this could be a tough meeting with fricke and bjerre at the top end, worrall and bewley still very up and down in the engine room though! will bewley be fit to ride!? i'm confident of a home win, i'll say 50-40
  2. danny has a piece on the star website this afternoon, explaining he's disappointed but also philosophical given this time last year he was wondering if he'd ever ride again let alone be challenging for the british title with his arm injury! he said it was a toss up between gate 2 and 3 but went with 2 as otherwise he'd have had both cook and wright underneath him, he said at the end of the day the gate position was immaterial he just didn't make a good enough start!!
  3. I don’t think there’s too much odds between king or Lawson at 2/5 I think both are quite adept at popping out of the start in heat 1, but I’d be keen to keep Heeps/Allen together and pair them at 3/4 they’re the pair with the most chemistry on track and two most in form boys in my opinion
  4. Yes, he’s quite frustrating at times, but also superb at times!! Perhaps think a bit of perseverance and another go next year and could become a really top rider on these shores - really and truly still very new to British speedway - took magic about 3 years to truly master it over here for example! Likely to be on around a 5 point something average too which isn’t too big a chunk!
  5. Yeah for Howarth to get away with the jump in ht2 and king to be excluded in 3 we’re both pretty awful decisions from the ref, Howarth should’ve of course then had a warning from ht2 and excluded in his second attempt at cheating the start that was pulled back!! heeps good night allen good night lawson got better KP got a lot better - needs to start scoring from the start of meetings bomber really not good enough king up and down and wrongly excluded kennett must do better - still he’s looking more likely to score at home than bellego though. decent win another 3 points against a team of riders that ride Foxhall well, I said to my dad at the start I think we’ll win but they’ll get a point so a good prediction!! Thought the track was pretty decent today as well, especially given just how hot it’s been past couple of days
  6. So we’re racing 8 tonight then....! 7 on the track and 1 in the refs box! Fantastic! 6 points from 2 rides to the ref thus far
  7. Looking so so lovely and smooth as they bounce bounce bounce on the entry to the first and third bends in the above video of ht13 - better than it was but you’d have anyone believe it’s a billiard table!
  8. Real shame we can’t have bomber there tonight he’s bang in form right now and while nicholls can go well at Poole he’s bang out of form!
  9. As far as I’m aware his only visits to Foxhall on match days this far have been when Kings Lynn have visited, Kevin Long our mc is usually very adept at getting people for quick interviews between races and I’ve only heard from him on those nights, whereas speaks to both Louis and Hawkins most weeks at various stages.
  10. If you look on the green sheets there’s a +5% column - this is an additional allowance for choosing a guest at your home track. The theory being most riders are stronger at home, so the average to replace Richie is up to 5.52.
  11. I would think so his ankle was broken in 3 places, and an existing plate bent from previous break, so had surgery to repair/replace old plate plus new injuries required metalwork as well, would think with all of that it’s at least 6-8 weeks not weight bearing let alone getting on a speedway bike but I guess you never know with speedway riders!!!
  12. When was Brady’s crash? It’s a minimum 9 days out for a concussion sometimes 14 straight from the off based on severity but concussions are taken far more seriously nowadays than in the past in all sports and rightly so, another far less severe bang to the head could be far more damaging
  13. Feel so sorry for panthers fans - essentially all of my fears upon hearing the news buster had bought us out to take us up are being realised....just in Peterborough not ipswich. irrespective of how the witches finish this season (champions hopefully!!!) I sincerely hope this season has shown Chris Louis top flight speedway is viable in Ipswich and has been enough of a success for him to justify the risk activating his buy back clause and full ownership/control as no matter how successful we are this season, there’s simply no way of knowing it’ll work again next season and July 2020 we could have been 2019 champs and still finding ourselves in a similar buster shaped mess the panthers currently find themselves in. It’s a pretty sad state really pboro is the best track in country outside of now perhaps nss and if managed correctly with a decent side would/could be packed the rafters with fans every week
  14. Same here taps but we’ve had the tac sub used against us in ht14 so nice to be on the other side of it for a change! disappointing one for Danny, the management keep saying all 7 will click on the same night and someone’s gonna get a walloping...the riders have obviously got together and made a pact to ensure they save that moment for the playoffs
  15. Great result for the witches! Brilliant response after last Thursday! And once again a real team effort 6 of the 7 getting a win or paid win! Up the witches
  16. Jack was superb last night, he had 6 rides and to be honest 4 of them are probably his best 4 races at Foxhall of his whole career to date, historically he’s not been great!
  17. Fair assessment, ht1 was quickest of the season at 55.6 Danny’s TR is 55.5 so close to it for sure! Wasn’t surprised Danny was unhappy with jack shutting off before line in the manner he did - it’s dangerous and just unsporting frankly - Danny is about as mellow guy as you’ll meet so for him to get so enraged I think illustrates this!
  18. By far and a way the best Wells has ridden at Foxhall in about 5 years, used to go well at ours regularly but in recent years has struggled - was very good last night
  19. Pre season cannon fodder still in a healthy position to comfortably make the play offs one swallow doesn’t make a summer we’ll be back! Certainly looking like it’s the current top 3 plus one other at the moment, with Belle Vue the most vunerable of the top three having ridden the most meetings and 3 more home meetings than either Poole/Ipswich - those three home meetings in hand each should “in theory” be worth 9 points against Belle Vue current total!
  20. I don’t think it was that slick, I think the track was smooth and grippy low down and mid track and there was far less material and grip on the outside - so the home boys were trying everything and just couldn’t find the grip and drive on the outside like normal this season, the positions and lines Heeps was trying this far he’s been flying past people went out there tonight and just nothing there, but for me that doesn’t automatically mean the whole track slick! No riders on in inside/mid track were spinning up and struggling to generate drive the grip was there and the bikes were always pulling, but if it’s not equally as grippy on the wide line passing becomes tough - have similar stories on Peterborough threads this season with inside line being so grippy/smooth and fast no one gets there on the outside line - the track didn’t suit our boys one bit and was nothing like a single track we’ve seen for a home meeting so far this year the Poole boys were best out of the tapes all night and getting to that first turn, some superb team riding from jack holder his first three races arguably the best 3 heats he’s ever ridden at Foxhall, never really ridden that well here before, klindt and josh equally impressive although I do feel klindt should’ve had at least one warning at the start before he finally got pulled back! Doolan and wells exceeded expectations so all in all fair play to Poole well deserved
  21. Pretty irrelevant if they’re specialists or not when the track is nothing like it’s been in a single other meeting this season! Where’s the home track advantage??
  22. Smooth yes but I’d argue it’s grippy as, and just as grippy on the inside so the shortest route the fastest route
  23. Can’t help but think this is going to be an awful advert for speedway on BT tonight, Summers was woeful as a guest at reserve for us at Kings Lynn couple of weeks ago and Newman is seemingly nowhere near a top flight rider these days
  24. And if the base was suitably bound together no holes as such would appear! Why would a rider go out of their way to create a hole on a track they’re due to race on!!??? It’s clearly soft as s**t
