  1. Once again our favourite away score!?! Plaudits to Scunny who had that extra oomph that we couldn’t find. Josh Auty and Rory were sublime, backed by a team effort. For us, Joel & Josh gave their all for not much reward, Ricky seemed to have bike issues. The rest pitched in but were swallowed up by the determination of a fired up, patched up Scunny side Still enjoyed my trip on a lovely hot day and well done to the track staff. I expected a dust bowl but they did really well
  2. Looking forward to this one. Good choice of guests. Soon be en’route....... clear the A1 please
  3. Jings, just noticed this...... bit of urgent planning required......
  4. Really bad news for Lewis, a spiral fracture is a nasty one, best wishes to the lad
  5. One word...........maybe two...... Nae chance!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Just my 2p worth...... I have been a supporter since I was a child and am now a pensioner I attend every Berwick v Edinburgh meeting to support my team and I love the stadium and being so close to the track The track tho'.......... in almost every race you can mark your programme after bend 2...... that is not Speedway! Rip the track up this winter and start again from the bottom with different material that gives the riders the grip to pass.... just a thought.......
  7. There are a few Embra fans who aren't Ritchie fans but once he signed, they would come round. After Ritchie won the meeting for us at Scunny last year, fitted in with the team and showed a brilliant attitude...... I, for one, would welcome him to the Monarchs I understand the Glasgow fans frustration. IMO (for what it's worth) "something else is wrong" and once you sort that out ..... who knows? Happy riders make prizes.......
  8. As usual, the Emmerdales are inviting folks who would like to join their bus for this meeting. The bus will obviously include return to Cardiff afterwards Details and cost from Stuart on 07762796382 or email coatesstuart@gmail.com 1st come basis
  9. Full plaudits to Redcar Speedway, great organisation, fascilities, parking, race track, etc Surely silenced the doubters. Dust (not as bad as I expected) was unavoidable under the blistering sun but the track staff did a great job Congratulations to the (no home track advantage) Panthers, deserved winners Superb effort our Monarchs, totally unexpected. Erik 1 of only 2 unbeaten riders.... superb!!!
  10. Hardly Josh’s fault that we have two struggling newcomers or that he was touted to be a secret weapon. He most certainly is not arrogant
  11. Joel & Max are very frustrating. I felt Max suffered when the riding order was changed. We get glimpses (usually on different nights) that they are worth keeping. Time will tell..... There wouldn’t be a problem with 100% effort Josh if we weren’t carrying the others. Josh is highly entertaining and I’d like to believe his coat is on a very safe peg. Once he learns how to gate, (he will be boring) he will be amazing Welcome to the team to Victor and GhostRider to the forum (don’t believe everything you read on here and I hope you have thick skin to cope with the keyboard warriors)
  12. Poor guy. Notice he beat Dan in a run-off in Sweden after top 3 on 13 points thanks to racers and royals and Bradford Ace for replies also
  13. Have you any idea what went wrong in ht 17 Phil. I can’t read Czech. Took an age to run and one withdrawn I think
  14. Awesome Dan - well done lad from all at Edinburgh..... Superb!!!
  15. Superb guest Mason, thank you young man! We held it together till ht 12 (much better than I expected) and then the wheels fell off big time Our third 37-53 score
  16. We are indebted to Mason tonight. Well done lad, saved us from slaughter
  17. We stayed for the juniors but I didn’t mark my programme. I don’t like to single one out but there is one really wee guy who is heading for stardom - winning races AND playing to the supporters ..... big tick ..... keep it up!!!
  18. Told you so...... Huge well done to the Berwick track staff and their magic covers...... never dreamed it would be on but it actually got dusty!
  19. Worry not, we are carrying more passengers than a number 5 bus. Some day they will all fire at once but I wouldn’t bet my Smithy’s fish supper on it
  20. Good choice, he did really well at the Dale last night. Dodgy forecast...... What is the weather like please? It’s a long way for a fish supper
  21. Firstly, well done Newcastle on their deserved point, especially our old friend Matty. i believe the ref was Ronnie Allen although Willie Dishington was programmed I do feel the ref’s all need to get together and work on consistency with the faller / 5-1 rule Some good battles in the Devils v Gems too
