  1. Only possible way the referee can justify that decision is to say the race was stopped due to an unsatisfactory start and not due to anything that happened on the third bend.
  2. A person who never makes a mistake never does anything. By the way, the stock car and hot rod promotion are called Spedeworth! Don't ask me why as Les Eaton, the founder of Spedeworth could not explain the spelling when I asked him in the 1970's.
  3. From the Spedeworth fixture list:- 18/ 4 - 1pm -Ipswich BangersSponsored by Whip St. MotorsLightning RodsPolleysport/Yokohama Tyres Series RoundNational Hot Rods2021/22 World Qualifying Round 10
  4. A bit worrying that Devils still don't have a team declaration according to the BSPL latest information. But neither do Oxford or Mildenhall so it is probably just a case of the BSPL being rather slow.
  5. I have not had a problem with opening the referee score charts but I do find it odd that in the news section they add the preview and if the meeting is called off they simply remove the preview. To check if a meeting is off you have to check the results section or go to the home teams website. On the old website they always put a note up in the news area to say a meeting had been called off with the reasons which was much easier to find. Now if you find there is no preview you don't know if the meeting has been called off or they have forgotten to post the preview.
  6. According to the Brummies website it was COVENTRY: Chris Harris, James Sarjeant, Lewi Kerr, Adam Roynon, Ben Barker, Luke Crang, Joe Thompson.
  7. I have just been looking at the Brummies website. They are advertising meals in the restaurant during meetings. Big snag is that if the meeting is cancelled after 2pm on the day of the meeting then you cannot transfer your booking to another date or get a refund. I went off the idea very quickly upon reading that!
  8. They be good at plans! The five year ones never last more than eight months.
  9. I agree the new site is snail paced on both my laptop and mobile phone.
  10. I am sorry to hear that. All websites should work on laptops, tablets and supposedly smart phones. I only have a cheap phone but it takes better photos than my wife's phone which cost her more than three times what I spent on mine much to her annoyance. Looks like it is also better on the internet than stuff advertised by a half eaten fruit which makes me even happier with my cheap phone.
  11. It has been working for the last two or three days on my phone.
  12. The easiest way of encouraging British riders is to have a minimum number of British riders in each team. I would suggest three or possibly four would be a good idea. Then you make team building rules that make a non British rider have one point added to their average which will encourage teams to use more than the minimum number of British riders.
  13. Centre green looks a lot better than the Rye House one at did in the last season the BMR muppets were in charge.
  14. They didn't think it would have more than 100 viewers at a time so we have overloaded it!
  15. Copied from Lions website:- 2022 ADMISSION PRICES (CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES) Adults: £18.00 Concessions: £15.00 Students (Age 17-22 with a Student card): £15.00 Children (Age 5-16*): £1.00 Children (Under 5s) FREE * (With paying adult/Family) (NATIONAL LEAGUE MATCHES) Adults: £14.00 Concessions: £12.00 Students (Age 17-22 with a Student card): £12.00 Children (Age 5-16*): £1.00 Children (Under 5s) FREE * (With paying adult/Family)
  16. Very pleased to hear that Southern Water are being fair and that things are getting back to normal. From a personal point of view the fact that the Island Line is back working is good news but sadly until the late train from Portsmouth Harbour to Wimbledon and the connecting boat from Ryde Pier Head are back running I will not be able to see racing at Smallbrook Stadium which I deeply regret unless I seriously increase the cost of a trip by staying overnight in Ryde. Staying would enable me to have two days on the Steam railway which I would enjoy but would not go down well with my wife!
  17. I am sure many readers were as upset as I was at the flooding damage due to a burst pipe caused by road works at the end of January. I hope that whoever was responsible for the damage, has repaired it and ensured that the stadium has suffered no loss. It would be nice to hear from the Warriors promotion what the current situation is.
  18. One promotion already do what you have suggested but sadly are not in the BSPL but last season ran a successful season on the Isle of Wight. Hopefully in the future they will be able to back into the league AND allowed to provide the show they did this last season.
  19. Just seen on the Warriors website the details of this years Three Team Tournament featuring the Warriors up against Weymouth Wildcats and Cradley Heathens. Looks like the tournament will provide three good evenings of entertainment.
  20. It must be a Scottish thing to have nearby tracks running on the same night. Glasgow and Edinburgh in speedway while Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly do the same thing for stock cars. I suppose the only way I can see both tracks in both sports is to spend two weekends in Scotland.
  21. I was shocked and saddened to see on the Warriors website that the stadium has been flooded by a water main being burst on the road outside during construction. Better news is that Warriors have announced their team with Danno Verge, Connor King, Alex Spooner and Ben Morley. All four have NDL team spots and were pleased to get the chance of extra competitive track time. Once again the full details are on the Warriors website.
  22. The trouble with going away from the league sections is that I suspect fewer people read them. The racing on the island is National League standard, so leaving this thread where it is seems about right unless our mods want to move it.
  23. Thanks for the information. I try to avoid buses whenever possible but still useful information.
