King's Lynn v Ipswich 05/07/21

Why Crump not riding when he was at Glasgow on Friday ready to ride until rained off? -
Can see why Sheffield have not been complaining about the restrictions now, while other clubs have been limited to 25-33% of capacity, Sheffield must have been at around 75% last night, locals were saying it was bigger crowd then they were getting pre-covid. Great atmosphere with a large amount of Aces fans and a nip and tuck meeting. First half of the meeting was poor but second half made up for it. Rowe although his points on board don’t look much he was the match winner with some of his last gasp passes, don’t know where he got the grip from on the inside of last bend. Disappointing to lose by 2, but there was couple of mistakes like Richie fall and Etheridge tapes touch in easiest ride.

Racing suddenly got lot better from heat 8 now inside slickened off.
-
Pure gating contest, no one close to passing and it’s not fair gating either as tapes going up on inside first every heat and nothing been done about it.

The rider who should have been as riding star but wasn’t guesting for rider who shouldn’t have been a rising star but is.

How can a rider taking his team mate down be all 4 back, one the Wolves riders had to be excluded! Rerun was all 4 but shouldn’t have had 4 riders in it. -
Don't get too carried away, just like the centre green presenter after heat 15, Belle Vue took their foot off the gas towards the end of the meeting with 4 points comfortably in the bag.

If this is limited to 1000 then they weren’t getting much more then 1000 last couple of seasons as this isn’t much less then past crowds when I’ve been.

Belle Vue is very close to circular, they are pretty much constantly sliding all way round at full throttle,
-
Berwick isn’t circular (where riders sliding most of the way round) it has long straights.
-
At first was thinking why those 4 tracks, think they the most circular tracks? But then realised Sheffield not included and that’s big fast and circular.

Why Bjarne still not got a Peterborough race suit?

That is something that I was wondering about the ‘check in’ too. I thought that originally was more designed for small cafes and restaurants etc so they had a record who was in a what times. At a big venue they are not going to tell everyone to isolate, my mate doesn’t have the app and has to give his name and number and stands in south stand, they have no idea who he is near. I get the feeling it’s just a stipulation that the council making them do. https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/article/KA-01312/en-us?parentid=CAT-01033&rootid=

Good point about most of them having 2 teams already. Wether any of them could be tempted to ‘drop’ NDL.

Yes it uses Bluetooth to monitor who you are close to, think you have to be close to them for over 10 mins, so just waking past someone wouldn’t log etc. You can turn it off in the app, it’s called contact tracing. Incorrect, it’s the main way the app works using Bluetooth. It’s not going to be done by just checking in to a venue, as they not going to tell 1000 people to isolate as don’t know who been close to who. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/nhs-covid-19-app-has-been-downloaded-over-10-million-times
