  1. Safe journey and thanks for attending in what was our lowest crowd of the season.
  2. Starkey set the the scene in that one only just making the 2 minutes and not really being ready while Ben Trigger continued his Northside dominance over Sam McGurk. You guys won it by a distance and outscored our reserves 9-4. which proved to be the difference in us winning on the day.
  3. Agree because both riders rode their socks off to make sure we didn't get beaten again by the Pirates. It felt like a win after being 6 points down after heat 12 knowing how strong Poole have been in the latter part of meetings this season. Would be interesting to see some stats on Zack Cooks winning percentage in heat 14, he seems to make it his own looking in from the outside.
  4. Rich is probably having one of his best ever seasons . He has certainly mastered how to make a good living from British Speedway
  5. It's not a naming forum this but as the saying goes 'if the cap fits wear it ' lol.😉
  6. Jason scored 10 for the Bears at Glasgow last night. Fair enough Jye hasn't had the best of seasons and it's probably time he found a new team/track. He could well be trying to put himself in the shop window. For me guests are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get, don't forget Claus's Northside average isn't great he has done much better away. On a lovely day get down and support the club.I know there were people with the same attitude after the KO Cup thumping at Edinburgh in 2018 and they missed one of the greatest turnarounds you could ever wish too see.
  7. Berwick completed 8 league fixtures on 10th August against Worky and still had gaps in their home fixtures of up to a month. Not great by any means. 16 meetings with good fixture planning should be quite achievable.
  8. Quite remarkable turnaround that one, bit like the once in a 100 year floods that hit Workington though .
  9. Not looking good, weather forecast for Sunday very poor on top of the heavy rainfall this week.
  10. This and Tobias practising as well as acquiring an engine off Rich Lawson are just further examples of how professional Poole appear to be.
  11. Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with Ben Trigger at least he has progressed this season in my view. From memory I can't remember Sam McGurk beating him this season so a good choice by Poole for this meeting. Congrats to the Pirates on making the BSN Final, I really believed we would keep it closer and I'm very disappointed, we should have done better than a 28 point deficit.
  12. With the exception of Belle Vue the best race tracks such as Workington, Glasgow, Redcar and Scunthorpe are in the Championship. Speedway needs to be entertaining, this was sadly lacking last night . I appreciate losing Emil, Doyley and Ellis were a factor.
  13. Great to witness a British 1,2 on the podium at Cardiff today , rarer than a white rhino that one. Congrats to Dan Bewley on his victory, chuffed for him following an inconsistent 24 series to date. Cardiff is a great place to hold this and the Principality Stadium a great venue. Need the hotels to stop their exorbitant pricing and help get the crowd levels back to where they were pre covid which will ease pressure on cost cutting measures. Way too much negativity from some on here. No wonder the decline of what could be an even greater sport continues.
  14. Congratulations to the Bears and especially Danny King who came to the party big style in the latter part of the meeting. Good to see them winning after coming up just short last season. Not great racing for me not helped by a poor performance from the Comets.
  15. We were right behind the incident and the ref got it right for us.
  16. Nicholls and Masters got to be odds on this time around. Only seroius challengers Redcar and Poole if Lawson fancies it.
