  1. Berwick completed 8 league fixtures on 10th August against Worky and still had gaps in their home fixtures of up to a month. Not great by any means. 16 meetings with good fixture planning should be quite achievable.
  2. Quite remarkable turnaround that one, bit like the once in a 100 year floods that hit Workington though .
  3. Not looking good, weather forecast for Sunday very poor on top of the heavy rainfall this week.
  4. This and Tobias practising as well as acquiring an engine off Rich Lawson are just further examples of how professional Poole appear to be.
  5. Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with Ben Trigger at least he has progressed this season in my view. From memory I can't remember Sam McGurk beating him this season so a good choice by Poole for this meeting. Congrats to the Pirates on making the BSN Final, I really believed we would keep it closer and I'm very disappointed, we should have done better than a 28 point deficit.
  6. With the exception of Belle Vue the best race tracks such as Workington, Glasgow, Redcar and Scunthorpe are in the Championship. Speedway needs to be entertaining, this was sadly lacking last night . I appreciate losing Emil, Doyley and Ellis were a factor.
  7. Great to witness a British 1,2 on the podium at Cardiff today , rarer than a white rhino that one. Congrats to Dan Bewley on his victory, chuffed for him following an inconsistent 24 series to date. Cardiff is a great place to hold this and the Principality Stadium a great venue. Need the hotels to stop their exorbitant pricing and help get the crowd levels back to where they were pre covid which will ease pressure on cost cutting measures. Way too much negativity from some on here. No wonder the decline of what could be an even greater sport continues.
  8. Congratulations to the Bears and especially Danny King who came to the party big style in the latter part of the meeting. Good to see them winning after coming up just short last season. Not great racing for me not helped by a poor performance from the Comets.
  9. We were right behind the incident and the ref got it right for us.
  10. Nicholls and Masters got to be odds on this time around. Only seroius challengers Redcar and Poole if Lawson fancies it.
  11. Believe he did catch a finger or fingers in the mesh but haven't heard anything regarding his condition.
  12. Must admit I was surprised how much Ace struggled with the Northside track when guesting against Redacr especially as he rode for us last season.
  13. Thanks to the Bandits fans and neutrals who made the journey, always good to see other speedway fans at meetings. Some good close racing once again and it was good to see Lewi Kerr finally come to the party for the Bandits with 3 good heat wins in the second half of the meeting. Drew Kemp once again showed up well in support. Rider replacement never really worked for the Bandits with only 4 points from Rory's scheduled rides in consecutive meetings. Jye Etheridge was again disappointing while Danyon Hume and guest Connor Coles tried hard throughout. Thanks again to the guests Eric Riss and Simon Lambert for their determined efforts over the two meetings , you never quite know how guests are going to perform but these two never stopped trying over both meetings. Eric's pass in heat 15 to go from 4th to 2nd was top drawer. A solid 6 points from Paul Stark were once again valuable and it was great to see Antti back on the bike after his fall on Saturday and putting in another strong home performance. Batch was once again solid and it was good to see him back winning races at the GT Tyres Arena after surprisingly failing to do so against both Poole and Redcar in our two previous home meetings. Hopefully Sam will take confidence from his heat 2 win it's been a while. Hope Claus is okay following his nasty looking crash in heat 6. UTC !!
  14. Think the promotion will need to be very shrewd . In some ways team building for next season could be more difficult than this season but one thing for sure a strong No 1 and 5 along with always having a strong reserve have to be the pre-requisites for me.
  15. League does not want watered down any further. Hopefully a minimum of 40 points for next season.
  16. must admit I haven't seen this but it seems to have attracted a few comments most of which haven't been complementary.
  17. Disappointing to have finished your home meetings so soon, I know I wouldn't like the comets to be in that situation so early in August.
  18. After 3 heats and 12-6 down it was looking like it could be a long night but the Comets steadied the ship. 6 heat advantages from the last 7 heats won us the meeting. Mechanical failures evened themselves out while perhaps crucially the Bandits had 3 tape exclusions 2 of these in heats 13 and 15. The comets had ultimately sealed victory in heat 14. Eleven heat winners for the Comets undoubtedly helped win the meeting with stand in skipper Troy Batchelor again displaying what a good gater he is. Claus Vissing's best performance for many weeks was crucial while guests Eric Riss and Simon Lambert were solid and scored good points. Drew Kemp was easily best for the Bandits who started brightly but the Bandits weren't able to hold off the Comets in the second half of the meeting. I'm sure it will be closer at Northside for the return and the Comets will need to be on it. I hope Antti Vuolas is available following his off because he has been an important cog in the wheel at Northside this season. UTC !!
  19. 75% of Claus average was 4.74. Only riders who could have guested were all riding in the Scunny v Plymouth meeting.
