Very enjoyable meeting. Saw some old faces not seen in a while Thank You all concerned at Brummies Fingers crossed for 2023.

That's exactly what happened in 2019 Brummies and Eagles went up and from figures quoted (certainly at Brummies and Eastbourne would have been similar) by time you've paid the Bond, the Asset List and other add on's that seem to be variable, you were looking then at around £30,000.00 before you are allowed in. I remember well the "pending" status Brummies were given all winter 18 in to 19 and then suddenlt in late February both Clubs were "in". No time really to plan properly and new entrants start on the back foot. It makes the success of Oxford all the more remarkable and praise worthy but in some ways they are helped by attracting Oxford, Reading, Swindon and Coventry fans. I know from what's been said the Masons struggled in 2019 but got through it, they struggled massively week by week in 2021 and were at their wits end by the end of the season physically and mentally . At least they made it to the end when Eastbourne didn't and Newcastle, who also had a new Promoter for 2021 and issues all 2021 and didn't finish in 2022. Kent had to pay over the odds too but had the legend that is Len Slver to guide them. Nigel (Tolley) has had to spend well north of £100,000 to set up and survive 2022 and by this time next year no doubt that could be double that. Money that enthusiasts who try to keep Speedway Clubs going once set up simply can't afford. Neila has hit the nail on the head. Only a very rich man or consortium can now afford to start in CL . They don't get Eurosport money like PL do and it remains to be seen what British Speedway Network can distribute, if its 10k a Club it would be a massive boost but you have to factor in if clubs have actually lost walk up on nights BSF are there? The new Workington set up looks superb and if it can go in to NDL and take small steps it can hopefully thrive. It's good to see Mildenhall and Kent hanging in there too at NDL level and whilst it would be great to see IOW v=back, why should they risk it, when their new product does well for them and they don't have the muppets at Rugby to answer too.

Did it never rain at Lakeside? Plymouth just been unlucky with torrential rain around match days. It's happened to all Clubs at some point. One time not long ago it only ever seemed to rain in Brum on a Wednesday.

Fascinating read re the Upright Weslakes and the modern lay down abberations. I never cease to be amazed to see younger riders sat on the start line revving the balls off the engine and then going off the start line at half the revs as they can't ride the bikes properly. I guess the transition from upright to lay down back in the day was far easier for the riders of that era as the modern bikes are far easier to ride than the older uprights that required throttle control. Certainly I found racing far more entertaining in the late 70's to late 80's.

So you want another few hundred people to fork out to go somewhere when there is not a cat in hells chance of the meeting taking place, in the remote possibility that it could that it may be dangerous for riders, be a terrible spectacle for supporters and be a financial disaster for the Club as everyone living within 30 miles would not bother going as they would have been watching rain fall for hours.

Are you referring to the hundreds (no doubt you'll argue 10,000) that made an unnecessary trip to poole last week spending lots in unnecessary fuel to stand outside, get soaked, realise that it was inevitable and should have been called off that morning and then watch the track staff hopelessly incapable of doing anything about it....

Indeed It was clear that us and Eastbourne were forced up by them threatening 6 man teams and a silly points limit in the winter of 2018 , Kent were pretty much forced up too a year later. For various reasons none have worked out well. In case of Brummies and Eagles too big a financial hit too soon to be able to properly compete seems the issue. The NDL by 2018 had become the "Championship lite" many now seek. A bit like soccer EFL to PL is a big jump so is NDL to CL - difference in Soccer is you get north of £100,000,000 to soften the blow, in Speedway you go from being a successful team to a struggling one or have to throw huge sums at it and still no guarantee of success, and have to pay disproprtionately large bonds to BSPL for the pleasure. Admittedly at the other end of the spectrum it did Clubs like Buxton and Stoke no favours and had the same detrimental impact on them, which is very sad. Not sure what the Dugard family hierarchy fixation with "no NDL is" - may be if its re-branded Championship lite - they may re-think. Balls in their Court I guess?

No doubt it will mysteriously and against all predictions piss it down in Poole again then tomorrow at 6pm with hundreds stood outside the Gates. Forecast I'm looking at for Devon looks awful all day - especially this afternoon and evening.

Looks like South West / South are in for a big dollop of rain today and tomorrow but nice and dry and sunny most other places. According to Plymouth website track was perfect yesterday and dry and they have put some covers on parts of the track. Be good for both Teams to get it over and done with and move on.

Barker and Kennett appear to have same average to 2 decimal places according to BSPL website. How many decimal places to they go to in terms of splitting / deciding? At some statistical point can they decide who to use at No 1 if the same average?

100% Watching WTC at Vojens with a few hundred there was awful TV Seeing Cardiff barely 35% full is not good TV Imagine BV with extra capacity up to about 11k FULL to the Brim and comments like (we could have filled the place 3 x over)...it's just a completely different and entirely positive perception that encourages sponsors in, encourages stay aways to think about going back and encourages newcomers about a sport that even if it's for a day "looks vibrant" Marketing is 99% bullcrap and 1% fact....anyway

Things need to be proportionate. The Queen loved some sports and attended many she probably didn't like but out of duty. Maybe a moratorium until midnight on Friday and then carry on as only when Sport is allowed to take place RESPECT be evidenced like it was last night. 12 days is too much, 2 days would be sufficient in my opinion and then let all Sports show their respects in the following week.

They really need to make the full findings public. That answers the questions with facts. They probably won't and that does the Sport no good. Plenty of issues in the past that have either been swept under the carpet and in to the long grass, or penalties reported but no full explanation.
