  1. British Speedway is in such safe hands with them 2. If they can build an understanding like Ward and Holder had on track together they could dominate British speedway. Shame as I think the championship will quickly become beneath them
  2. No offence to Gilkes, but with the points available we can get a better replacement for Bowes than Gilkes. Swapping Bowes for Gilkes would be a waste of team building points
  3. Disappointed to go into a meeting with 6. Especially as I feel Bowes is on borrowed time and I’d rather see him pick up some points. on paper it probably does make us stronger. But Oxford are very strong at home, hopefully we keep it within 10. Can’t see Dayle scoring as much as he did last time.
  4. Wouldn’t put it past them. Reserves are stronger than last year. Pederson not quite as strong as they’d of hoped yet, still early days. Hausl looks to be struggling
  5. Still fear that we are light on certain tracks. Newman capable of an off night, so is Kerr. Factor in Bowes not scoring. Don’t get me wrong we are certainly a top 2 side this season. But i fully expect Glasgow to make changes and suddenly be competing
  6. If Bowes doesn’t turn his fortunes around then he’d be my first choice.
  7. It could, but I reckon points wise, Kyle and Bowes will do a similar job at reserve as Will and Cooper, and then I’d also say the kids might do a similar job that Kyle and Bowes are doing at 2/4.
  8. I’m sure Glasgow will make changes. They’ve had a couple 5 point riders turn into 8/9 point riders the past few years. The way they’ve built their team they’re stuck with their reserves so it’s only Hausl and Pedersen who can make way
  9. Bike time should do him good. I think his place in the team is safe until his average drops below 5, when it’s about to drop below 5 that’s when I think you have to take action.
  10. Not suggesting foul play, the forecast was terrible (according to BBC) and I think it’s fair to say Redcar will be happy that they can stage the meeting when they have a stronger team available. The postponement benefitted Redcar but I like watching the pirates round Redcar so hopefully next week the sun will be out and there will be a stream.
  11. Think Redcarr will be quietly happy this meeting didn’t go ahead. No Mulford and Jody with that nasty crash yesterday wouldn’t have been near 100%, especially as he withdrew from the meeting.
  12. Glasgow to win. But would expect Plymouth to keep it close enough to take the aggregate point at home
  13. Looked a nasty one. Especially for Luke, speedy recovery for both. would be surprised if Jody rides tomorrow. Guest wise they’ll struggle to match his scoring potential, but plenty of options
  14. No Thankyou, no disrespect to Lambert. But if Bowes was to be replaced (I would give him more time) I’d want it to be another upcoming rider. A Nagel type signing
  15. A battle of reserves should be close. But I think the pirates have too much fire power in the 1/3/5 positions. And Lawson and Zach in H13/15 will be too strong for Klindt and Co to live with. Lawson might be unbeatable again
  16. Replacing Bowes for Gilkes wouldn’t make sense as it would be too big of drop in team building points. Gilkes is unlucky and hopefully he gets a chance as a pirate soon. As for Bowes he’s on borrowed time now, as soon as his avg gets close to officially being less 5.0 then I think Poole should look abroad for a replacement. Hopefully he turns his fortunes around
  17. Sad to see Dan not get a chance. But he’s going to be playing catch up. If he wasn’t able to start the season then I find it hard to see him getting to 110% in the next couple of months. Which is what you need to have if you are going to be a pirate. pressure on Bowes now to turn his form around
  18. Correct decision, I think it’s still likely that Gilkes will come in to replace Newman. But maybe there will be a surprise and it will be Bowes who departs
  19. IMO Kerr should’ve been excluded and Bowes should’ve been in the Rerun, Kerr caused the stoppage. Referee mistakes seem to becoming a lot more common so will give him a little bit of slack for this one as it is different situation to normal ones
  20. Id of thought that it would be a fine straight swap? As Bowes average is higher than Gilkes? I’d of thought that would be fine. Can’t let Neman go in this form, however if Gilkes is not 110% then I’d still keep the struggling Bowes
  21. Maybe he will come in for Bowes if Bowes doesn’t start scoring points. Beau might find half a season more attractive
  22. Bowes deserves a bit more time to show Poole what he can do imo. But he won’t have unlimited time, his ave has already dropped slightly. Tough meeting tonight for him, he’s shown glimpses of looking super fast round Poole, especially from the tapes, hopefully a good night for him tonight.
  23. Yep, and Kyle I’m sure will be picked up after a great start to the season
