Glasgow Tigers 2026

Glasgow certainly could be in the premiership, but business wise it isn’t smart. Oxford and Birmingham prove that. Poole could be but financially would be a silly idea. If for example belle Vue decided to drop down like Poole did. They’d never want to move back up. The only difference between the leagues are the big names. Entertainment wise there’s not a huge amount in it. -
Pooles number 1 will be at Pooles home meetings, and any rearranged meetings Poole will pick Wednesdays he is free or do the odd Friday evening meetings. Don’t worry
-
I like to think Rushen was signed and sealed Months ago. As soon as Rowe asked for more money and was told no, hopefully Zach was signed (would assume so due to no announcement that he won’t be back). Leaving just the last one that the Fords announced is the only one not confirmed. I have hope that the one not confirmed at that time was Beau Bailey. Don’t think he will do premiership, so championship Germany and Poland will keep him busy. If it’s not Beau, then Dan Gilkes fits and would be a good signing. Or I’d guess another Aussie with no current experience over here.

The rumoured 3 missing riders
-
So with Glasgows full 1-7 announced we now know what we will be up against. I think the rumoured 1-7 we have certainly can give them a run for their money, however I’d be less confident if it’s not the rumoured 3
-
I’m sure it’ll be 2 leagues once again, unlucky for the premiership sides as they’ll do well to find 6 teams. Hopefully some more teams resurface and British speedway finds some money to make it big again

Good team, just a manager away from being favourites -
Expected, then 2 should be a very competitive heat 13/15
-
Possibly quite likely? any news on how Gilkes is? Was at the meeting where he had his crash and couldn’t believe the severity of it considering it looked like a nothing crash. was so early into the season he’s had a long time not on the bike and even longer by the time the season starts, or did he get some laps in towards the end of the season?
-
I think Batch is a no thanks to most poole fans. Zach Cooper Gilkes/4pointer
-
Good signing for you guys. Was frustrating at times with inconsistency’s, capable of gating and passing but also capable of being beaten by anybody. Certainly likes getting his elbows out. Maybe in a league of only 1 over 8 rider he could make a good number 5
-
He started last season brilliantly Anders but often struggled in the big heats, if it was a choice between him and Zach then I’m sure a lot of us would’ve chosen Zach. Hopefully it’s Zach, Rushen and then Beau or Gilkes. not many riders fit in that 4.8ish gap left if Zach and Cooper are signed, unless we have some one new to Britain lined up
-
I thought he would be Oxford Bound. but if it is the Rumoured Zach(or Anders on similar ave) and Rushen. That would leave just shy of 4.9 which Gilkes would fill nicely. would Prefer Beau Bailey but I don’t think that’s realistic. Would happily have Gilkes at 2. His injury was a huge factor in Oxfords poor season

Lewi Kerr returns
-
It wouldn’t be breaking the bank to sign Beau Bailey, but it would rightly be paying more than you would for a usual Aussie doing their first season over here, but when that Aussie is one of the brightest prospects in years and I think will average near 6. It might be worth it. The costs to move up would be silly. In comparison to building a strong championship side. Not to mention Wednesdays
-
What would his assessed average be? I know there used to be a rule where after a few years an average would decrease by a certain % every year. But this is speedway to that rule has likely changed
-
So with Rushen appearing to be going to Oxford according to some confident people on the forum, could Ritchings be lining up at 7? lawson 9.58 Beau 4 Kerr 6.74 Bowes 5.63 Zach 7.34 Cairns 3.81 Ritchings 2.29 total 39.39 Although the reserves are not as strong as we would perhaps want, if Beau is signed it could give us the strongest 1-5 in the league? Although Glasgow did prove last year that a good 1-5 doesn’t win trophies
-
I’m agreeing with what others have said, I’d love to see Beau sign, I think he should/ could be fine in getting a visa so would love to have him.

4
-
4 I think? But even on a 5 it would be a no brainer for me. beat Ben Cook, Zach Cook and Tate Zischke in the most recent Aussie event. would be a really exciting signing
-
Seems strange this offseason, usually the Poole team is sort of signed and sealed before the season ends. But we seem to be guessing a bit more now. Is Anders a definite no? we were convinced Zach was gone, but with no announcement of him skipping the championship you’d assume he’s back? Is Beau Bailey just noise and wishful thinking? No news on Kerr, I’d have him back as along with Nick Morris he’s on that high 6 figure who could certainly up it to an 8 Lawson Cairns signed Cooper heavily rumoured Bowes seems to be on his way here aswell? other than that it’s just us guessing?
-
With Toby saying Poole wanted him back, my thinking at the moment is that Lawson Bowes Kerr Zach Cooper Cairns is the 6 signed up. Leaves just under 5 points which was perhaps the Toby gap? Maybe Poole now hoping Beau Bailey will sign on a 4?
-
Fantastic signing, not a surprising signing, but a fantastic one. It felt like he was going to win every race last season, especially at home, fantastic team rider aswell. he could certainly up that average but I think he will go back to putting the handbrake on and allowing his teammate past on the run to the line
-
Yep if it is Beau Will and Cooper in the team. (I hope it is) Then I would half expect all 3 of them to have a go at 2 at some point in the season. Would be a little bit disappointed to go into the season with Kerr and Bowes at 3 and 4. But it was always going to be difficult to replicate such a strong engine room pairing like we had this season. If it is the above 1 to 7 then it’s a team where you could see 6 out of 7 all putting a point on their average.
