  1. Anders Rowe fantastic, Thompson looking good aswell, Good to see Anders finally riding at 5. Might be able to give Poole some muscle in 13 and 15. Still expect Glasgow to get themselves ahead
  2. Yeah I think anything over 5 and we would have to be happy with, Zach seems to only be good for BelleVue and in heat 14 at the moment! Big meeting for Starke and Ritchings, get the feeling they need to be almost always beating there opposite numbers for Poole to be close, even then you’d expect Harris Barker Howarth and Flint who will all have 5 or 6 rides to make it near impossible for the pirates to get heat advantages
  3. The issue Zach has is that he’s not at the level his brother is, Ben improved year on year where as Zach has stagnated slightly in the team now, really wanted him to kick and thought he could make that number 5 jacket his, however truth be told he’s closer to being the number 4 than a 5. I don’t think Zach is will find Poland as easy as Ben did, hopefully Zach does as id love to see him do well
  4. Barker a huge upgrade on Boughen, Glasgow will win but can the pirates get 40? Would be the right time for Kerr to come to the party but not too sure how he goes round Ashfield. Pirates could pull off a bit of a shock but would need all 7 firing and that’s not happened yet this season
  5. Well far too early to start the 2026 thread……but! Lawson 9ish rowe 8ish cairns between 2 and 4 Rushen 2 bailey 4 or 5 Would leave Poole sitting very nicely for the remaining 2 riders, could probably fit Zach and Thompson. Got to say if Beau Bailey and Rushen are signed along with Rowe and Cairns who signed 2 year contracts (not that that means they are guaranteed to be back) Lawson you would expect to also return means that would be an exciting 5 riders to start the season with. Would likely have Zach back meaning the last rider would be the only one who might not already been signed up already!
  6. I assume that’s regarding Cooper Rushen? If so fantastic from Poole to potentially have Rushen and Cairns next season on a combined average of 4. cairns could be higher should he ride enough meetings which you’d expect him to do this season
  7. Poole will keep Starke over Ritchings unless there’s a double change, if there was a rider who would be a significant upgrade on Kerr or Thompson then I think Poole would hold on to Ritchings over Starke for the average points. Starke has been disappointing dropping silly points and looking off the pace Ritchings has been getting better every single meeting, you’d expect Starke to win tonight but I don’t think he will. Hopefully he proves me wrong as I would like to see one of the current pirates or Vinnie win it
  8. Leaves a good amount of points for Poole to play with if they do decide to drop Starke for cairns, I don’t think Starke will be dropped for Cairns and it’ll be interesting to see who picks up Ritchings right away
  9. If Starke (3.7) and Kerr (7.07) were to make way, totaling to 10.77, and Carins comes in on a 2 does that not leave 8.77 for the pirates to play with? That would leave the pirates a few options like Ben Cook(should be back on the bike in a month and maybe looking for more meetings to get himself fit and make up for lost time/ earnings) and even Scott Nicholls if he’s recovered and not retired
  10. I’d be tempted to, but it would need to have another rider making way to make it worth while, spend the extra couple points to upgrade the team elsewhere. Whether that be Ritchings Kerr or Thompson. Although there’s a chance that Cairns will make the team challengers on his own if it is the expected straight swap
  11. You’d expect Starke to have the beating of both Plymouth reserves, I expect Ritchings to be amongst some points today aswell. I’ve been more impressed with Ritchings in his few meetings than I have been with Starke so far.
  12. Pirates should over turn the deficit however if they start slow like they have been then maybe Plymouth could be out of sight and Poole will run out of heats. Big meeting for Starke Kerr and Cook, have been poor in recent meetings for Poole and need to show up. Poole could hit 60 with ease if they ride like they can
  13. Lots of refs break that rule then. When a rider moves and then penalises himself and is miles behind even before the first corner the red lights shouldn’t come on, that terrible ref decision hopefully won’t impact the final aggregate score.
  14. Cook Kerr Starke continue to struggle but much improved from Toby which helps keep the scores close enough, that Gate 4 was horrible for anyone who had to use it. Should be fine to over turn the deficit, Cook usually rides Poole like a heat leader and Starke should be less rubbish at Poole. Lewi still struggling but not for the lack of trying.
  15. Don’t necessarily agree, Starke has been very poor, he’s put Ritchings in the fence in heat 2 and hasn’t done anything to really earn Ritchings 4th ride
  16. Ridiculous reffing there. A 6 point swing as a pirate 5-1 turns into a 4-2 Plymouth. Crazy
  17. Morris is mid July I think. Not sure about Scott
  18. Nice to see Kerr grab a couple wins and to go round C-Cook in his last few rides. Starke clearly feeling the affects of his heat 3 crash. Hope he recovers fast. Do think Poole still lack at reserve. Last few years they’ve been built on having 1 strong reserve(if not 2) I do think Cairns will make this Poole team competitive with the Glasgows Oxford and Redcarr lineups I do think there could be a chance of 2/3 changes when Cairns is available if Starke and Kerr still don’t hit the heights we’d of expected
  19. Had Starke not of fallen off on the last bend of heat 14 Poole would’ve stolen a draw and a crack at the stupid heat
  20. To throw a 5-1 into a 2-4 in heat 14 is a fitting way for Poole end this northern trip. we’ve rode our luck with opposing riders making errors and bike mechanicals when they’ve been leading.
  21. Would Ben and Tom be on Reassessed averages? Would surprise me if they were and would certainly make them unobtainable
  22. Hats of to Sam Hagon. His decline last year was strange. Went from beating everyone when he was at reserve. Then became the u21 champion. He then lost all speed and confidence and was a passenger in the Poole team for the last couple months last year
  23. So slow. Didn’t expect this when he was signed. I thought he would be a good do the job rider. He’s been poor
