  1. I do agree that a multi round would increase the chance of a surprise and deserved winner, could have 3 rounds spread out across the UK, Poole/ Oxford one round, Glasgow for a round and then the Finale at Manchester. Lambert if he’s riding might win or it’ll be Bewley, unless Brennan can provide a shock? Realistically they are fighting for 3rd spot as that’ll be who gets to be the wildcard to the GP
  2. Lewi Kerr finishes 5th in the semi final and qualifies for the British Final, which I believe Richard Lawson has pulled out of
  3. Poole were 2nd best last night, Kerr had a shocker yes but that is speedway, it wasn’t for the lack of effort that he only scored 2 points. Luckily the meeting shouldn’t matter as a home win against Oxford will see Poole through. Far too early to judge riders. Come the next few weeks is when it’s fair to see how riders and teams are getting on
  4. Should be a comfortable Poole win but do expect the Plymouth reserves to make it a closer score line than others suggest. I’ll go 52-38. Zach and Anders too strong for their opposite numbers
  5. Yeah more bike time should do him well! I expect him to start the season well for Poole regardless. He’s a very good and experienced rider in this league and will score plenty of points for the pirates after an unlucky trip to Oxford
  6. This a good Poole team and I don’t see any teams with a better 1 to7. yes it’s not as good as last years but that’s speedway. Last Poole won 3 titles all rather comfortably. So it looks more competitive this season which is good. I don’t see why so many are desperate to put this Poole team down. They’ll be absolutely fine. arguably the best number 1 in the league possibly the best 3 and 4 pairing a number 1 riding at 5 a reserve who will be fantastic at home and good away
  7. No doubt Starke will up his average significantly. But very disappointed to sign him over Vinnie Foord. Why did Danny say Vinnie wasn’t retained due to numbers game?
  8. Kerr has been a solid rider for many years. Too many injuries has held him back but I don’t expect for a second for his average to drop. Rowes a quality signing, possibly the best bargain average signing in the league. If Poole do go safe with Starke and a 2 pointer it’ll still be the strongest 1-7 out of the teams announced so far. And if you add Cairns in to it, I can’t see anyone getting near them in the playoffs
  9. I would disagree. Harris trumps the lot but the Redcar trio are all ahead of Howarth and Thompson at the moment. King was carrying an injury for a lot of last season
  10. Nice to know you like to check the treble winning pirates forums regularly 😆 you have a great 1-5 but 2 reserves who were well out of their depth last year. You will need 1 of them to pick up a handful of points otherwise it doesn’t matter who the top 5 are.
  11. I don’t think Lawson will guest as often this season if he is riding in Poland
  12. So just Anders Rowe and the 2 riders that no one really has a clue who they’ll be
  13. Happy with that team. Lawson was the best rider in the league last year. A proper number 1 who scores well everywhere. Hagon a young Brit who has so much potential. Good equipment and will kick on this season. Zach and Rowe both are in for big big seasons. Both need to kick on and will surely be the strongest 3/4 pairing in the league. Kerr could take the number 1 jacket from Lawson should he stay injury free. Poole as always will bring the best out of him. Tobais will hopefully pick up where he left from. No excuses with injuries this season so should get out of the reserve berth quickly good luck to whoever’s number 7 and hopefully they can stake a claim to not be the one dropped for Cairns
  14. I agree, which is why I’m holding out hope that someone a bit more exciting will be signed over Starke. Although Starke would I’m sure up his figure I am sure the management would not have picked him over Foord
  15. If it was Howarth instead of Kerr. With 4.81 left maybe that leaves a door open for Hagon to return on a 4.73? I would welcome Sam back with open arms. Yes he tailed off hugely last year but so much potential in him and started last year on fire. He’s also in Australia over winter which will help him no doubt
  16. Assuming it’s Lawson, Tobias, Zach, Rowe, Kerr, Twopointer(Cairns) that’s leaves 4.32
  17. I think if Poole wanted Vinnie he would’ve been back. Unless Poole took too long deciding their team so he looked elsewhere? Unlikely as the Fords usually have plan A B and C sorted long before they need to
  18. Yep that is what I’d hope to see. A new face to British speedway who will get the luxury of starting at reserve. The Fords often find one surprise signing. Hopefully this year is no different
  19. Good move to bring Toby back. Was super impressive at the start and end of the season. Only blip was when he returned too soon from his injury. I expect him to up his average even more this season. Great character to have in the team
  20. Deluded? I really like Foord and would’ve had him back. However realistically he is unlikely to survive the season without an injury or two. don’t know what relevance Lieberman has to my statement unless Poole are replacing Foord with her. who ever Poole sign instead of Foord will I’m sure make sense. poole wouldn’t have let go of Foord if it would make there team weaker
  21. Yeah very disappointed to see that Vinnie won’t be returning. He’s an entertaining rider but I think an average of 3.9 isn’t the greatest value of money. Foord will get a great reception when he returns to Wimborne road
  22. Wouldn’t want Starke in the team over Foord. Hagon was on fire at the start of the season but hugely tailed off. Hagon Vinnie Thompson all riders that will up there average next season wherever they are
  23. Would be surprised and disappointed if Foord isn’t at Poole next season. Think along with most fans the team will look like. Lawson Hagon or Thompson Zach Rowe Kerr Foord 2pointer (Cairns) Hagon and Thompson will both keep the average below 40. For me it’s 50/50 to which one stays. Would like both to stay but that’s unlikely.
  24. Big fan of Kyle but there are better upcoming riders on an average less than his overly high average
  25. I think with Hagon it was just his confidence that had his scoring come to a halt, at the start of the season he was sensational for Poole, beating heat leaders, and passing riders with ease and was spectacular on the outside line at Poole. His early season form was enough for me to hope he is included in the side next season.
