  1. But it won't be. I expect Ipswich to win but not by 60+. Not sure if Barker is riding ?
  2. You assume the track owner /landlord wants speedway or has enough days on his planning permission. Also most bangers racing is run with steel armour type fences which have to be covered with airfences and on the straight wooden fences. You then need a full time track staff to do this this work or volunteers, which I think has been covered extensively elsewhere on this forum.
  3. And everyone will be pleased to see that TNT/ BSPL has also dumped birmingham so that if you want to watch them, you will have to attend the stadium.
  4. A PR stunt by ARC to tell everyone where their new track is.
  5. A PR stunt by ARC to tell everyone where their new track is.
  6. The stadium staff stopped doing anything for speedway , the day ARC took over.
  7. Track curators are paid licenced staff.
  8. The greyhound staff do nothing towards speedway. In fact they mostly make it more difficult.
  9. Save your money, don't go to belle vue, stay in Birmingham and support the future riders.
  10. You are right but, no volunteers, no flag marshals, start marshals, pit marshals, ticket sellers,no gate operators and many other jobs such as laying sheets on a dog track, painting kick boards, cleaning air fence, sweeping pit/cleaning changing rooms and toilets. I'm sure I've missed a few, however the jobs listed are done by a small band of die hards who can only do so much. Sometimes when it's very hot or in a holiday season those few become less. If it wasn't for volunteers British Speedway would have closed years ago.
  11. It's not always about not speaking out. If a rider has a problem with the changing rooms or pits area, why didn't he raise these points before the meeting. These are things that are done by club volunteers who give up their time for riders to perform. Without those volunteers there is NO speedway . So before any rider starts complaining in public, they should try and think of the consequences if you are going to slag off people who give up their time for free.
  12. Or just sign another rider, plenty of points to play with.
  13. I will take that as an honour considering the amount of 5hit written on this forum.
  14. And he is the best rider who has ever ridden in the UK?
  15. Everyone is entitled to their opinion however if you don't like something, turn up and volunteer to help fix it.
  16. An induction day for his apprenticeship. You don't miss the things that could map out the rest of your life.
  17. It takes 2 teams to tango. Agree good performance by both slightly short handed teams.
  18. Why wouldn't they? Or is that what want so you can write I told you so.
  19. Sitting home making suggestions is easy. Getting said rider to agree to ride for your club at a price your club can afford is a little more difficult.
