I don't suppose the clubs have been sitting on their hands waiting for the Premier league to sort themselves out.

As British Speedway used to be his employer, what if anything did the employer do to help him with his mental health and addiction. As a employer has the sport washed their hands of him and was he ever banned ?

Sunderland is run by arc. The company who have just closed birmingham Newcastle Central Park Kent. Not good bed fellows of speedway. -
Which is a pity as they would be most welcome in the third tier.
-
There won't be a lot of speedway in July.

I do hope the name change is not going to keep you away next summer ?😁

They can ask but, I think they would be told to get lost. (Or words that mean the same)😁

The Speedway Show - Saturday 15th November 2025

Trade stands, nostalgia or promotion, it doesn't matter what you call it, everyone who wants the sport to continue has to try and do their bit. If by pushing an open door tomorrow keeps the door open then great. If you let the door close it gets locked. I will be there early tomorrow and also at the offroad show in Telford next year trying to keep a little bit of that door open. -

I will have to come and see you there. -
They are not going to make them rebuild it unfortunately. A big fine for the already bankrupt city council would serve the corrupt councillors right.

You can get cheaper flights to Spain in January.

Calm down, I said they would be cleaner , never said they would be working 😁

Toilets will be cleaner and there will be some trackside parking.

And shouldn't it be ? With the backing from the team of people who you know very well.

Most of the disused industrial sites are owned by the same company that owns monmore Green.

So it's a sad farewell to speedway at Perry Barr. The local council/lease holders couldn't wait to get the bulldozers on site and have already erected a wall around the site to keep the travellers out. Will we ever see a return of the the red B or will it be left in history as what was a great sport. Although I wasn't a long time fan, I've had a few good years going there and working there and meeting many people whose club this was. To them this was their whole world, who spent many many hours and years trying to keep it going. In the end it just wasn't to be but, better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all. So farewell brummies wherever you are until we meet next time around.
