  1. Poor attendance today but the track looks great so I'm hoping for some great racing
  2. I'd completely forgotten about the u21 final until it was mentioned at Armadale last night. I hope the Tigers lads do well but the racing was good last year and well worth the admission. I'm looking forward to it and the weather should be glorious.
  3. I honestly couldn't disagree more and judging by most of your posts on this forum (especially to me) your only addition to every debate is to be deliberately obtuse. If I'd said it was poor racing, you'd have said it was the best you'd ever seen so your thoughts on last night's action don't interest me in the slightest.
  4. Vissing is very much missed right now although he wouldn't have affected the result tonight. It's the manager. He couldn't fail last year after Tarasenko came in (although he came very close to fumbling the ball against Oxford).
  5. So you didn't stay for heats 13, 14 and 15 then?
  6. Those passes by Paco in 14 were breathtaking. I've got to admit the Monarchs simply wanted this more tonight. The Tigers were stale and didn't approach this track very well at all. I don't recall seeing a single Tiger make a pass tonight.
  7. I spoke too soon! There's been some amazing overtaking on bends 3 and 4 in the past two heats. Cookie riding that kerb was sublime. Felt sorry for Paco after his overtake though when the race was stopped.
  8. There only seems to be one racing line on bends 3 and 4. Hopefully that will change soon
  9. Your glass definitely sounds half empty. Don't throw in the towel just yet, things aren't that bad *Although I agree about Starkey. He's had a stinker of a start to the season
  10. Looking forward to tonight, it's a shame about Lee's ban as he was the heart and soul of last year's Tigers team but he shouldn't have been such an idiot. He'll be missed though. In terms of the result I think Glasgow could swing it just like the Monarchs swung it last week due to them being the hungrier team on the night.
  11. I feel sorry for the Redcar supporters who made their way up to Glasgow tonight in what turned out to be a late wash-out but at least they'll be able to spend all day tomorrow in the city centre shoplifting.
  12. The good news is the rain has stopped. The bad news is I passed a family of otters swimming down the Garscube Road
  13. What are you doing on the Kingston Bridge? The Tigers race at Ashfield
  14. I agree. H&S has made everything that used to be exciting a lot more sterile and far less enjoyable.
  15. Worrall finished ahead of Harris in Heats 13 and 15 as well
  16. He's never taken to Ashfield in all the times he's ridden it and it's a track he doesn't look like he's ever going to master. 7 will be his average at home. Maybe Cammy brought him in for the away meetings which are important over the course of the season but I can't say if this is what went through his mind when signing him. I'm a bit biased because I miss Glasgow having Claus in the team as he was always good entertainment and hard riding.
  17. It's not all doom and gloom though for the Tigers if JP maintains his third heat leader scores and Flint ups his game. If this happens then Glasgow would have four heat leaders and a handy pair of reserves. Not bad at all. The season is long.
  18. I was near the line on the home straight and also thought Harris had at least nicked third. The subsequent announcement surprised me.
  19. I listened to his interview on the EMTV podcast before the meeting and he was so positive and up for this meeting that it was scary. He's on another level this season but it was his comments about the current Edinburgh team which intrigued me. He has so much confidence in them and that seems to be filtering throughout the team to good effect. This result confirms this.
  20. It does seem a bit odd especially considering there's a bonus point decided over two legs so ideally the run-off/superheat should have taken place after the 2nd leg in the event of a tie overall. Great racing though and Josh and Chris were superb. Btw, does anyone know what prompted the fight in the second half race? I missed it.
  21. This result could go either way depending upon whether Starke, Stevie W, Kye and Paco turn up and produce a good showing. None of them have been consistent this season but maybe they can all start putting that right tonight and we'll see some great derby action.
