Belle Vue V Sheffield - Mon 26th @ noon
TTT replied to GeneralMelchett's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Referee's have had it in for BV all day. Sheffield have gotten away with various jump starts not that it makes a difference anyway because BV haven't been good enough. -
I'm on Bewley Over 11 @ 10/11 as well now. It's R/R for Kurtz so Dan will take 6 rides maybe even 7 (Inc Tac) imo.
-
Same here. Has been riding like Jason Doyle on a British track barely dropping a point.
-
Unlucky this afternoon, Logic was right on the Handicap but I don't think anyone saw Picko's performance coming that ended up ruining both bets. We go again tonight. JOSH PICKERING Over 9 @ 10/11 (He's now had two worldie performances on the spin 10 from 5 or 6 rides should be a formality but this is gambling after all) CHRIS HOLDER Over 11 @ 1/1 (I know he's riding with Picko three times but one of them is going to get 6 rides for sure and the other 5, I think both of them will go over tonight)
-
CHRIS HOLDER Over and Exactly 8 @ 1/1 & 9/2 8+1 from 4 on his first visit to the NSS this season. 7+1 from 3 on his second visit to the NSS (Meeting abandoned before his 4th ride against 2 reserves) I think Chris will get 5 rides this afternoon with no Woffinden in the side, Chris isn't in Heat 13 either so I'm happy to back him at a fair price when riding in the engine room. BELLE VUE -8.0 @ 1/1 (I think it's a fair price on offer here, I don't see Howarth or the reserves doing much and it's always difficult to win races against Bewley & Kurtz around the NSS, I just think BV look stronger in every department this afternoon)

First Rew and now Douggie.....The bad luck isn't stopping. Another golden opportunity for Brum to finally win a Home meeting. -

Leicester fans must be worried with two of their riders guesting for Ipswich who've been cursed by injuries as of late. If the meeting goes ahead then I fancy Ipswich to stop the rot, Brum just cant ride their own track for some reason. -
Need a 4 & 5 next season to give the team a balanced look about it. I could see NKI or King at Brum next season if it's true about KL potentially not running, Ipswich will have to get rid of King if they go for Kvech imo because you'd think Emil and Doyle are locks if they want to return. 1. Lindgren 2. Z. Cook 3. Brennan 4. 5. 6. Lampart 7. Flint (RS)
-
About time the Brummies faithful got some good news for a change. SCB will surely allow Brum to have a facility as it's nothing to do with them as it's all down to the rider.
-
It's my fault as it did give out mixed signals lol. I've changed it now though.
-
Same here.

I'm only cheering for Ipswich on a temporary basis until Peterborough return. Peterborough is my team but I've gone to Foxhall a few times this season to see some live Speedway as it's my choice of track to visit while the Panthers are out of action so it's only natural to cheer them on in the process considering I'm paying to watch them. A bit like Wolves fans at Brum or Swindon fans at Oxford.

BIRMINGHAM v KING'S LYNN Mon 19th August PL
TTT replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Tolley is coming back for more next season then you need 3 new riders. Keep Lindgren, Brennan, Z. Cook and Lampart because the Pole is getting better. Need a proper No.4 & No.5 with a RS who's actually capable of doing a job on his Home track. -
Ipswich v Belle Vue August 22nd
TTT replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So gutting for the promotion. Ipswich would've walked the league and cup this season with a full 1-7 as proven by how they performed on a consistent basis with a full 1-7. You just cant cover for Emil and Doyle because you need two riders who are capable of putting up 25+ points around Foxhall. Even a guest for Ellis around Foxhall needs to be scoring over his GSA to cover for Adam's points. -
I cant see Ipswich beating anyone in the play-offs unless they get top guests in. Last night they made riders who hate Foxhall look like World beaters, Chris Holder's score basically summed up the lack of belief in the Ipswich camp imo. Ipswich need Lindgren and the in form Janowski to guest to stand any chance imo because Nicholls will be on TV duty for the play-offs. In the KOC Final they need Lindgren and Nicholls for the Home leg with Lindgren and Janowski for the away leg at Sheffield.
-
Ipswich mentally capitulated as soon as they went behind tonight, The belief just went to a point where it was easy points money for the Sheffield riders for the second half of the meeting. Even Howarth filled his boots towards the end.
-
I thought Ipswich would win due to the reserves pilling in the points against Edwards and Harrison but King's gone into his disapperaing act when the pressure is on and that's final blow.
-
That's the rumour but Ipswich still need Emil and Ellis back as well though. Nicholls will be on TV duty again and he's been the go to rider this year for guest bookings.
-
Got to feel for Louis and co. Nothing you can do with half a team that's got it's top 3 riders missing.
-
Apologies, I didn't know the rules have been changed. I assumed whoever finishes top gets to pick who they want in the SF.
-
I see it as this. If BV finish top they'll pick Ipswich because they know Ipswich cant ride the NSS to a point where they can build a massive lead against a patched up team that'll run with 2 or 3 guests. If Sheffield finish top they'll pick Leicester because the Holder brothers still won't want to ride Foxhall again and they won't want to take on BV in the SF knowing how hot the BV riders are around the NSS.
-
Ipswich are in a bit of bother now. King poor again and the Sheffield boys are starting to settle down now.

You cant sink any lower than that result tonight against a depleted KL side. You've just got to applaud Tolley for throwing money down the drain on a consistent basis now.
