Birmingham v Leicester 15th April 2024
TTT replied to StephenMiller's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don't think he's any good away from Berwick imo, Been around for a few years in the RS scheme and he's never improved unlike other riders who have kicked on and taken the next step. Is Luke Killeen on the RS list? -

I don't know what meeting you was watching. Fricke 4 pts from 3 rides and Becker 4+2 from 4 rides is below par by their standards. -

Literally no point in running if you cant put a competitive team out on track imo because it doesn't benefit anyone in any positive way. It's not enjoyable for the fans and It's not enjoyable for the promotion to lose thousands of pounds which they will do eventually because fans aren't going to turn up to watch the dross on show for much longer when funds are tight during these times. Brum aren't like KL where Buster can serve up rubbish every year knowing full well he's got a loyal fan base that will keep turning up, Birmingham are relying on Wolves fans to help prop their gate up due to a lack of interest from Brummies fans. So Tolley has to chuck money at riders like Zagar, Laguta etc or just call it quits now before he digs himself a huge financial hole. -

Brum need at least 4 team changes to see the season out imo because it really is that bad. The only good riders they've got are Brennan, Zach Cook and Steve Worrall (The latter gets a free pass due to him riding out of position as a HL due to Tolley's clownery when it comes to team building) Milik is useless on British tracks, Flint is abysmal for a Rising Star who's been around for a good few years now and never improved, The only track he's good around is Berwick. Pawlicki getting 5-1'd by Joe Thompson basically tells fans everything they need to know on night one, No point bringing Lampart back because he'll just struggle all season. Tolley's either got to splash the cash on riders like Zagar and Laguta (Everyone has a price) or he's just got to pull out of the league because he'll lose thousands and thousands of pounds because fans will not turn up to watch an uncompetitive team for much longer, Brum don't have a loyal fan base like KL for example. -
bet365 have voided my Birmingham bet, How about you @Najjer

Always has been, He's nothing more than a bang average No.2/No.6 in this league. Birmingham signed him on a 7.50 purely due to fact that nobody else wanted to ride for them. -

Brummies HL's can't even beat Kemp & Joe Thompson on their own track. Tolley may as well shut up shop tonight tbh unless he's got thousands of pounds to throw down a drain. -
That's the fastest bet we'll ever lose on the Speedway lol. Brum won't even see out the season now.

Feel for Brum fans because it's inevitable that they're going to go under financially now before the season finishes. Nowhere near enough fans will turn up to watch a team that simply isn't competitive for the promotion to run a sustainable business. -

If Birmingham don't win tonight then they won't win a meeting all season. This is the strongest 1-7 Birmingham will put out all season. -
I'm with you on that. Brum won't win a meeting all season if they don't win tonight imo. Nicholls for Lampart is a massive bonus and they've also got Pawlicki in the side for the first time tonight.

Birmingham to bounce back with a win. The reserves will see them over the line in a close one (47-43) I don't understand Leicester's line-up at all, Why on earth would you put a struggling Sam Masters at No.5 to partner the already struggling reserves Kemp & Thompson? -
Aces by 16+. Basso has never had a good meeting around the NSS and Wojdylo was poor in the Craven meeting.
-
Combine the two and Leicester are better off. Sedgmen or Riss at reserve easily gets Double the amount of point than Kemp would. Then whoever's at 2 would only need to get 4 or 5 a meeting considering the numbers Masters is putting up.

I agree on that. The problem is NKI and MPT though. NKI is declining year on year and he's giving off Hans Andersen's final year vibes already after two poor performances in the easiest 1-5 race jacket. MPT hasn't had a good run of form at Premiership level since Peterborough's Dad's Army Title Triumph so it could be a case of one bad injury too many. -
Best wishes to Lewi Kerr. Oxford battled well to take it down to a last heat.
-
Defo when Kemp and JT cant outscore Edwards and Gilkes on their own circuit lol.

Nothing to do with rustiness if you're going to be honest. -
Birmingham have some serious competition for the wooden spoon unless changes are made at Leicester. Masters and Kemp out for Riss and Sedgmen is an easy decision.

NKI going down the Hans Andersen route. Not nice to witness seeing age finally catch up with a rider when you've watched them at their absolute best scoring double figures at No.1 on a regular basis.
