I agree. Just think it's a possibility when you take into account that Brum are now being linked with new riders like Milik and Chugunov and they're engine room riders so it reeks of desperation. I'm working on the basis that Piotr Pawlicki and Matej Zagar are no go's as well now because they would've been signed weeks ago if they was in, I can't imagine them waiting around for weeks knowing that they're playing second fiddle to other riders because it gives out a poor message like 'We'll only have you if we cant get anyone better in'.
-
Piotr Pawlicki would be a good signing but surely a deal would've been done by now if Piotr was in the 1-7 considering he made it known that he wanted to ride in the UK ages ago? I can't imagine that's it's Brum not willing to pull the trigger because he's one of the best options by far.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
TTT replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Simon Lambert after Buster throws his mid-season tantrum about finances/low crowds once the results turn sour. For what it's worth if the team does stay the same then Basso will end up at No.6 imo. -
Brum clearly haven't learnt their lesson from last time.
-
Still saying Schlein plus another. Brum would've been complete by now if they managed to get 2 quality riders in. They've signed 5 riders on a budget and are hoping to get two HL's in however the names being linked with Brum now are of much lesser quality than they were at the start.
-
Another name can be crossed off the list now because he's signed his third contract for 2024 with a Danish club. Przemyslaw Pawlicki
-
Gilkes imo.
-
Anders Rowe imo.

Same for me. -
Bet Brum will end up with one HL and Schlein due to the names in question all wanting good money. HL signings would've been made by now if money wasn't an issue imo.
-
Rowe and Batch to complete?
-
Gilkes and Sedgmen to complete? Gilkes surely has to be somewhere in the Championship.
-
Looking at who's available unless you can get overseas HL's then I'd go way under the limit and sign Rowe/Gilkes. They're two riders who will improve in a watered down Championship whilst unannounced HL's leftover from 2023 like Riss, Batch, Sedgmen and Vissing have no improvement left imo.

Workington managed to find a highly rated 4.00 assessed rider whilst Poole couldn't lol. How times have changed.
-
Really exciting side being put together, If Cookie gets his mojo back and the final two signings are good then the Comets will be the dark horses in 2024. All three assessed riders should improve GSA's.
-
By the process of elimination I think Vissing, Rowe and Gilkes are the final three and they fit perfectly. Borke & Hodder -> Berwick Sedgmen/Riss + Castagna & Fredriksen -> Edinburgh (Rumours Riss isn't doing the Championship so likely Sedgmen) MPT & Mountain -> Scunthorpe

No, I'm just speaking the truth. Watching Championship clubs celebrate titles at Poole last year was painful enough for you guys, Now Poole fans are trying to convince themselves that a pish poor signing in Thomsen is a good move.
-
Pirate ship is sinking and they cant take it after being spoilt rotten for many years. Best for them no to run other clubs signings / teams down if they cant take it when somebody repays the compliment.
-
Just proves that he cant think of a constructive reply to my comments on Thomsen.
-
Hit a nerve did I Skidder? and not for much longer you won't.
-
2019 isn't half a decade ago. How many Championship tracks would be new to him in 2023? He's awful, Ford's very rarely get it wrong but the Thomsen signing is the balls up of all balls ups. Deep down they know but they won't admit to it because they always get behind the 1-7 signed by the Ford family. More than likely the only 4.00 pointer available which speaks volumes because nobody in their right mind would pick him on a shortlist containing other options.
-
The Ford's are hardly going to be honest and say we couldn't get anyone decent in with the points available so we had to settle for Thomsen. Personally if they knew they was going to end up with Thomsen then I don't think they would've signed Brennan because a Rowe/Newman combo would be better. Their was a lot of talk about a 4.00 Aussie on this thread which suggests the Ford's thought they would get one + Brennan but it all went belly up.

Buster about to get humbled by Alex Brady for £35,000 looks like he'll have to renegotiate with AEPG for another £35,000 in hush money.
