  1. Probably Diane Abbott at a Pro-Palestinian march.
  2. I wouldn't bother to be honest now Haza, I don't see how anyone could recoup the money it would cost to start fresh at a different site. Also knowing how much Britain is pushing with their agendas lately I wouldn't be surprised if Speedway was forced into using Electric bikes in a couple of years which would no doubt kill the sport off entirely. We're already seeing videos of electric bikes to test the waters on social media platforms.
  3. Happy retirement Hans Andersen, Thank you for everything.
  4. I rate Jenkins, Saw him a lot for us last season and he got better and better as the season went on.
  5. 1. REDCAR (Will start slow due to a couple of riders returning from big injuries but once they get going they'll be difficult to stop) 2. GLASGOW (Top two should clean up and they've gone for tried and tested at reserve instead of 2.00 newcomers so that'll give them an advantage) 3. OXFORD (Top two should clean up like Glasgow, Also got four average improvers in Atkins, Boughen Jenkins and Killeen) 4. SCUNTHORPE (3 experienced HL's, Mountain should improve considering he's D/UP, Lambert should kick on in a weakened league and Ablitt is one of the better reserves in the league) 5. POOLE (The spearhead is good but the tail end of the team as it's too weak, Banking on the top 4 firing on all cylinders to win meetings) 6. BERWICK (Best Berwick side for a good few years but it's still a weak one, Hume is a poor rider, Etheridge doesn't offer much on the road and Schlein isn't riding Prem which will have a negative impact on his race sharpness imo, Kerr as a No.1 isn't tried and tested yet either) 7. WORKINGTON (Great signings in Voulas and Zischke but the Cook/Batchelor 1&5 combo has got disaster written all over it and it'll cost them crucial meetings) 8. EDINBURGH (Poor side and is banking on the same riders improving who let them down last season) 9. PLYMOUTH (Where are the Heat Winners going to come from?)
  6. Leicester should make the play-offs because something would have to go drastically wrong for them to lose at Home. A lot to like about the Lions 24 septet with improvements made across the board. Leicester's basically got 5 Heat Leaders from the 2023 season plus one of the stronger No.6's in the league to go with a RS.
  7. Wiktor Lampart should be a 5.00 and not a 6.00 as well, Just like Tarasenko and Wojdylo were last year.
  8. 1. IPSWICH (Weak links replaced with a GB International on a bargain average and young Brit on the up in Jenkins) 2. SHEFFIELD (Took a gamble by going top heavy but it's worked out like a treat because most teams are going with two young Brits at reserve) 3. OXFORD (Underrated side, Will start slow due to riders coming back from injury but once they get going then this 1-7 will be dangerous, Solid from top to bottom) 4. LEICESTER (Will not lose at Home with too many track specialists and Heat winners in their 1-7, Will nick a couple of wins on the road too against the weaker sides) 5. BELLE VUE (I think it's the weakest side they've put out in a few years, It needs various riders to step up for everything to click and it's one ask too many imo) 6. KING'S LYNN (Will win at Home regularly but away form will be non existent imo) I hope I'm wrong on this last one but..............................BIRMINGHAM (Won't see out the season, The fans will turn up early in the season mainly to watch the oppositions riders but the novelty will soon wear off and they'll walk away leaving it not viable for racing to continue for the rest of the season imo)
  9. This so called shortlist must have been non existent if you're signing Milik on a 7.50 when his actual average is 5.67.
  10. It was the same at Championship level with the Ellis fiasco signing on P & P day on a short term contract. I wish Birmingham all the best for 2024 as I don't like to see any clubs long term future being in doubt and I hope Tolley manages to sign a rider like Laguta but all I'm saying is he needs to reign it in a bit because he's setting himself up for backlash if he doesn't manage to sign a solid No.1/No.5 combo.
  11. Good way of trying to twist things, I applaud your tactic to be fair. I'm commenting on the fact that Tolley is acting like billy big bo**ocks bragging about his wealth by saying he would sign Zmarzlik if he could because the money isn't a problem for him when the FACT is Tolley and his big lump of cash hasn't been able to convince any half decent Heat Leader to join the club for the 2024 season let alone the World No.1 and current 4 x World Champion. My point is this -> TALK IS CHEAP! Actually sign some Heat Leaders and put out a competitive side before acting like the big I AM, If he insists on throwing around names in public like Zmarzlik only to end up with a top two of Zagar and Milik for example then he's only going to get criticised for it. Hope this helps.
  12. The facts were in the star, the words were straight from Tolley's mouth.
  13. Yours. Even the Polish press ran articles about it.
  14. Some advice for you considering that you're a new member. If you can't accept opinions that don't blow smoke up club bosses / promoters backsides then this forum isn't for you. This forum doesn't live in a fantasy world where it see's no wrong in club bosses and the sport as a whole, This forum is the complete opposite and members will speak the truth and call out the nonsense that promoters spout. You cant throw around financial numbers and names like Zmarzlik only to deliver nothing so far.
  15. Speaking from experience I watched an understrength Panthers side for a couple of months last year getting battered by 20+ every week and you have to be a real die hard fan to keep turning up every week knowing what's about to unfold before Heat 1 even takes place. Difference between Peterborough and Birmingham is Buster had punters on strings to a point where they was always going to turn up whilst at Birmingham I can actually see fans walking away after a few months if they don't put a competitive side out because they already struggle with crowd levels. I hope Birmingham don't go under mid-season but it's looking bleaker with every passing week, Couple of big signings would change that but it's looking less likely the longer it drags on.
  16. Brum should never have moved up to begin with, It's already evident that they cant compete at this level by struggling to put together a competitive side, 5 riders signed and 0 Heat Leaders.
  17. So have Brum actually signed the final two or not now? If they haven't then the alarm bells are about to ring, No top rider will make a last minute decision to take on another work load, They're top professionals who'll want everything in place ASAP.
  18. Hurry up and announce the signings Brum, Fans have waited long enough already.
  19. Our league is much weaker so he'll be fine imo, Even Chris Holder won more than a fair share of heats when he signed for Sheffield (Excluding Ipswich). I don't think any club will get enough race winners away from home tbh because every team looks rock solid around their own track, Away wins should be at a premium.
  20. Newcastle results were taken off and the rules might not be the same as when he joined them on a converted Prem average because they change every year lol. BWD's last Championship average that he actually achieved was a 6.0 or 6.1 something riding for Peterborough in 2018 or 2019.
  21. Same here. They're strong title contenders imo. Out and out No.1, No weak link in the engine room, Strong No.6 all season etc. They tick all the boxes.
  22. Wilson-Dean is back in the UK next week and he's a former comet.
