  1. Shame. He was superb at Oxford last year, would have been a cracking signing
  2. The signing of Max Clegg is a bit of an odd one isn't it? Surely there were better options out there. A couple of Americans come to mind.
  3. Ryan Kinsley the replacement for Nathan Stoneman. Will make his debut on Wednesday.
  4. If that's the case they should just call off every meeting in the morning - you know, just in case.
  5. Yes is it. Look through his previous comments....he literally hadn't mentioned it until the day after the result and then he called the Oxford promotion 'scumbags'. And maybe nothing was done about it because it's not illegal.
  6. I must have missed the news where Oxford got fined/reprimanded for breaking the rules.
  7. Funny how it got 'under your skin', yet you only mentioned it the day after Redcar got battered by Oxford . How do those sour grapes taste?
  8. Not sure what’s more amusing. The ‘significant announcement’ line from Leicester themselves, or those supposedly in the know on here being all cryptic about it.
  9. Yeah, I agree. I thought it was okay. There were a few passes, and even some decent team riding.
  10. The start has been delayed slightly tonight as the Unipart bus has broken down.
  11. So what is it going to be then? Maybe just say, rather than being cryptic
  12. There was also a certain football match taking place last night. I normally go with four people, but I was the only one who attended as all the others wanted to watch Man City v Arsenal instead.
  13. Oxford's social media is outstanding - one of the things they've done very well since returning to the sport. The Instagram, Twitter and tiktok pages are constantly updated - I'm sure a few other clubs could learn a few things from the way the accounts are run.
  14. I'm not too sure why people are moaning about the track. It's Poole's prerogative to make the track as advantageous as possible for the home side, no? They'd be crazy to try and make it suitable for the opposition! And it's also a bit too early to write the track off completely - it was one meeting. Nobody was really complaining about it after the Oxford win. It's a long season so I'm sure it won't be that bad every week.
  15. What's going on with Scott Nicholls this year? He's been unbelievable. Must have rediscovered his love of the sport (or invested a few quid in some new equipment).
  16. Or, on the flip side, you could say the only opposing riders he managed to beat on his home track were Jenkins, Heeps and Atkins (x2). Still early days, though.
  17. I'm pretty sure you can park at the local Tesco superstore car park for free for three hours (at least you used to be able to). It's about a 15-min walk to the stadium from there. https://goo.gl/maps/qe2CTs1rBtw4xf6m8
  18. Unless the speedway riders start using the greyhound starting traps, I can’t see the problem.
  19. No, the Unipart bus is a big thing. Although I presume it would come from the Garsington Road direction….unless it does some elaborate detour.
  20. I could be wrong, but think this was the Unipart shuttle bus. I think it drops off and picks up at Sandy Lane now, due to access issues into Ashville Way last season.
  21. Apologies, you did. And they will be, I take it back. You must have been seeing double!
  22. I think they'll be near the top and will surely be in contention come the playoffs, but saying there's 'little doubt' they will be top is comical. I hardly saw any Pirates fans there, just a small pocket on the third bend. Can't say I blame them staying away giving the weather forecast, mind. Think it probably kept a few Oxford fans away as well.
