  1. Just listened to a Radio Suffolk interview with Chris Louis from Tuesday morning. He said that Thompson is likely to have scans end of next week to see how he is doing and Doyle expected back in 2-3 weeks.
  2. I can imagine JD will be desperate to get back to the GPs, as there are 3 in June and he'll probably be worried about staying in the series next year... It might be a stretch to wildcard him in for 2026. Will he try to come back for the Sheffield match at foxhall next thursday or is that too soon?
  3. Can't see this meeting happening tomorrow to be honest - I don't think Witches mgmt will mess about and I wouldn't be surprised to see the postponement on socials in the morning
  4. With the riders Ipswich have and their liking for the AFA, they should keep this tight. If Brennan comes back into form, then fancy the Witches to nick this
  5. Should work slightly in Witches favour then, having Emil at 1 and shifting R/R to which position best suits the team for a given match.
  6. Think the 6 man Witches will take this by 10-12 points tonight
  7. Yes, the Witches will definitely be under pressure at reserve which leaves the top 4 to try and get this over the line for them.... Enter the real Emil... hopefully
  8. Belle Vue to win, but I have a feeling Leicester will keep the score respectable.
  9. Brennan's scores are definitely iffy at Owlerton, but he did manage to score a paid max guesting for the Tigers last season... so lets hope that version of TB turns up on Thursday 🤞
  10. I’m an Ipswich fan Steve and am thrilled at the side they have… put it down to a bad day and frustration at the track conditions on Monday. I probably should’ve re-read my post before clicking submit.
  11. I've always tried to be optimistic about speedway in the UK despite the many challenges the sport faces, but after watching Monday's meeting, I felt like I had shelled out almost £30 (took my son and got a programme) and got a very poor spectacle in return. For the casual fan who attended because it was a bank holiday meeting, I would not be surprised if the vast majority of them do not return, which is sadly an opportunity lost. Yes the diehards will remain and Ipswich are very lucky to have the fan base they do, but if this is the case at other tracks (which I think we know it is), then the sport will continue to rapidly decline. I enjoy going to speedway first and foremost for the racing and the thrill of it all... but I also go for the sounds, the smell, and the memories of going as a youngster. The casual fan won't necessarily have any interest in the sounds, smell and memories, so you have got to hook them in with the racing and the thrill of it.... I just hope that Ipswich's attempt to dominate the sport this year doesn't inadvertently create an inferior product which not only switches off the new/casual fans, but also the existing fans too.
  12. Also... Kvech, Klindt and Boughen are the only options for R/R. So Klindt will almost certainly take 7 rides unless Boughen comes to the party.
  13. Looking forward to this one... I think it will be a comfortable win for Ipswich, but not a drubbing.
  14. Agree, can only see a comfortable home win here
  15. For those planning to tune in via BSN tonight... I have checked and BSN have confirmed that they will be showing the Billy Sanders champion of the meeting heats as part of their coverage. Good news 😀
  16. Tungate, Wright and Sedgmen solid round Foxhall... the rest have very limited experience of the place... Witches win 60-30 for me.
  17. Kurtz seems to have continued his great form from the end of last season and agree that he is the main threat for BV... I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Doyle a couple of times, which is saying something at Foxhall. Overall though expect the Witches to hit at least 50.
  18. I hadn't fully appreciated the averages for the Spires this - 2.9 under! Sweeping changes by May perhaps?
  19. He's won it a few times, so hopefully BV will want to get him involved again 🤞
  20. Tungate Janowski Wright Kildemand Riss Gusts Killeen
  21. I was going to ask about his average... Surely 10 years on will see it reassessed, won't it?
