Oxford Spires v Leicester Lions - Monday 6th May.
Colinspeedway replied to tocha's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I emailed sales@oxfordspeedway.club on the Monday night and the money was back in my account on Thursday 9th. Have you chased it up? I've had to wait a lot longer in the past when waiting for a refund from Belle Vue although on another occasion they were quicker. -
Belle Vue vs Oxford, 13th May 2024
Colinspeedway replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
On paper in their current lineups Belle Vues 1-6 have a higher average than their Oxford counterparts . However don't think BV will whitewash this but obviously look stronger in Heat 13/15. -

For anyone at the meeting was Simon Stead there or was Garry May guesting team manager? -
Totally agree. Heat One Motorsports, Round the Boards, Talk Speedway and any of Ian Brannans are all good listens!

I got an email at 17:34 advising it was off- the same time it was posted on Facebook. -
Wright rode better than his points score. He was passing Iversen if he didn't get out of shape in his early heat and he was unlucky to be excluded on the first bend there were elbows before he came off. Harris not his usual self particularly in heat 11. Don't think Janowski looked that bad just not getting the scores of a number one just yet- will see how he gets on at a faster track in Sheffield.

Was really impressed with Jenkins last year and thought he would crank it up a gear but seems to be struggling this year so far. -
He is one of the unluckiest riders in speedway! Injury wise and also seems to be a victim of the points/average game at times. I remember seeing his crash at the Peterborough fours-didn't think I'd see him ride again. Glad it's not too serious hope to see him back soon. He's made of the strong stuff!

Was thoroughly impressed with the Wroclaw experience last year. Great city, good link to the stadium and great track. Going to Riga this year will take your word for it!

Speedway of Nations 2024
Colinspeedway replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If I remember correctly the "premium seat" tickets were similar price but there were other cheaper options available. Also the race offs/earlier rounds in the world cup were a lot cheaper than the early rounds in the SON. Buying a 4 round package is best value for this but not everyone will want to go to all 4. To me it is a bit expensive compared to other speedway events I will be attending by the time you've factored all other costs in. Belle Vue is usually more pricey than other stadiums anyway but is this value for money? I guess that's down to the individual. -

Oxford vs Sheffield - Thursday 21st March

Certainly noticed the poles myself. Great to see. Although I do remember Janowski getting a similar following last time he was in the UK both home and away! -

Woffy looked good. He also got on the mic at the end and said how good it is to have Oxford back and what a good job everyone has done (I think the centre green presenter was a bit reluctant to see what he'd say ). -

Afterwards Kerr said he was still feeling the effects from his fall and also Schroeck said he could have made a couple of programme changes but wanted to give all the riders laptime. -
Was that Phil Lanning?
