Real shame for Dan who has had a great start to season. Could he have challenged at the top this year? Who knows? Sadly he now has to have a spell on the sidelines and work hard to get back to fitness. All the best to a fan favourite
-
We agree on he should be excluded. You compared the incident to him to trying to kill someone.. so surely he should be punished? You're deluded
-
Ok so we agree then? Ridiculous chastising a youngster the way you have. If it's so bad that he tried to kill someone then you'd want him to be punished?
-
Is that it? After all your chastising we agree?
-
Ok so what would you see as appropriate punishment then?
-
Yes with age should come better decision making. Im sure all of your choices as a 16 year old were spot on?
-
It was a dangerous move I agree but these things all happen very quickly. From what I've seen of him I don't think he is a dirty rider and luckily Harrison or Scott were not seriously injured so hopefully he will learn from it. The referees decision was shocking he's having a terrible season so far.
-
If Harrison was still riding Thomsen could have took rides for Batchelor, Kilndt and Lidsey who didn't look bothered and also could have been used in heat 15 so not sure it necessarily made them stronger.
-
He's still a kid. Do you think there should be age limits due to the dangerous nature of the sport? Got to learn somewhere.
-
Had Rushen been excluded, would heat 2 have had one rider only due to the other 2 being treated?
-
New track, he's still young and has a lot to learn so I dont want to be too harsh on Rushen. He has a lot of talent and potential but obviously this was something to learn from. Wasn't this the same ref making dodgy decisions in the poole vs oxford match?

Will Bewley and Lambert be riding? Will they be able to get to Torun for the 16th August Polish league match? -

Does Kelv know when he goes silent and starts talking to the production team off mic that we can still hear him -
The second half of the show didn't have any issues, it appears to be when the Northampton promoter was talking. Sound issues aside (and its not just this speedway podcast that has sound issues), I do think it is a good podcast with interesting talking points and honesty from the panelists- especially Crabby.

They used to play snippets of it before racing at various stadiums

I don't think the official British speedway podcast will be running this year

Speedway 360 podcast

I enjoy the podcast and I admire the honesty. Credit to Rob Godfrey for going on and answering questions, and I admire his optimism, however how realistic are these things we should look forward to? Is it a bit delusional? I'd love to be proven wrong! Maybe the exciting thing was today the Championship KO draw. Wow nothing more exciting than a washed up celebrity pulling bits of paper out of a paper bag with a poor quality british speedway logo glued on the side. -
2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams

Dear me. Who's idea was that?! Embarrassing -
They'll always be someone who doesnt like the coverage but I think majority of people who watch BSN are happy with the service. There will be presenters that are to someone's taste and not to others but overall the coverage is brilliant and better than the TV.

He goes very well around Oxford and used the inside better than most

Pickering is entertaining both on and off the track. Need more characters like him. I remember him getting the elbows out with Antti Vuolas at Belle Vue. Got the atmosphere going

Oxford, Swindon, Wolverhampton and Coventry 4TT
Colinspeedway replied to secsy1's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Was a good crowd considering the cold weather and nothing at stake. There were a few Swindon fans about (often is these days at Oxford). Saw a handful of Wolves fans too but didnt see any Coventry where I was. Killeen picked up an injury the annoucer said possible broken scaphoid but havent heard anything since. Leon Flint looked very fast all night until the final race which Edwards gated and Bomber came around the outside on the second lap. Track held up well considering and there was no dust! Wayne Broadhurst a bit off the pace of everyone else but a credit for stepping in as Peter Schroeck said they were struggling to get riders for the third staging. -

Not necessarily that straightforward for greenbelt. Still needs a strong planning justification for the site. Will it interfere with the openness of the greenbelt? What buildings/structures are being planned?
