Bin time for Mr Hausl. Thanks and all the best, but your lack of input is a serious detriment to our play-off and title aspirations. A large outlay will no doubt have been absorbed by the Facenna’s for his services, but he’s God awful. One day, he might be decent, but for Glasgow, he’s a man down. Worse than a mentally withdrawn Boughen and worse than Ivacic.

Three home meetings, three races where Juhl Pedersen has come last due to mechanical issues. What on earth is going on with speedway these days? More retirements than wheelies. Speedway bikes are remarkably simple from a mechanical perspective, so are so many riders unable to complete a sixty seconds race?

The social media attack on Workington last season was outrageous. Was his dad an arsehole? Surely he’s giving him a bit of advice. I remember Shane, but don’t recall him acting like his son has/did. -
Comedy Central, this. Oxford’s star man doesn’t make it to the first bend in heat one, his teammate doesn’t make it to bend two in the next one, their teammate then touches the tapes and it takes almost TEN minutes to fix, then another mechanical issue in the re-run, causing his colleague to crash. It’s like Paralympics speedway. More engine failures than passes.

This would have made sense if the racing was exciting. To create exciting racing, you must be competitive; neither happened last night. Less than twenty minutes of racing within just over a three hours period (if the punter arrived as heat one started). The majority of the meeting was spent watching track staff replace two air fences and attempt to fix the starting tapes. Aye, I’m sure they’ll be back… -

I wouldn’t necessarily replace all three; Hausl deserves time. The extent of my speedway interest doesn’t exceed the UK, so recruitment isn’t my bag. However, to answer your question, please refer to @Mr Blobby‘s comment below; -

Jesus Christ.😂 ”No, no, no… sir, I think you’ll find there were in fact two, yes two, passes executed - one legally, the other not - during fifteen heats this evening. Well worth the three hourss duration”. -

He’ll be on a flight. He’ll have the option of an overnight, if he wanted. Either that or extra leg room, having already had business lounge access. An awful evening. -

Is it too early to make changes? Will we make the play-offs with this side? Had it not been for Barker’s fall in fourteen and Garry May picking his riders for heat fifteen out a hat, Plymouth would have hit the late 50s. You could even argue with the match won, King and Nicholls strolled heat thirteen. I defended Hodder only days ago, but he’s so far off it. Even worse is our two-times, reigning British U21 champion. Nine rides, two points; one from beating the other and the second from a three-rider race. Utterly abysmal. I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to estimate what Hausl would have scored tonight either. Glaring issues that need addressed ASAP. IMO, of course. -

I’m so disappointed in the performance, I can’t bring myself to criticise the track because it’ll appear bitter, but as an event, that might be the worst advert I’ve ever saw for speedway. Any newcomers through the door will have to have suffered a severe brain injury between heats one and fifteen (an almost four hour duration) for them to even consider returning. Well done Plymouth. Solid last night at Ashfield, then head and shoulders above us tonight.
