  1. Do I need to start shadow boxing to assert my dominance here, or are we all going to play nicely?
  2. I think if Michael Max wanted to be Glasgow Tigers’ manager, he’d occupy the role now. He’s one of the club’s promoters, so I’m assuming Cami Brown will directly or indirectly report to Max and/or the other promoters on behalf of the Facennas.
  3. Is this accurate? If so, wow. I saw Nicki Pedersen posting an article on social media a couple of weeks ago which mentioned a sign-on fee in Poland which equated to GBP £150,000. Wild. As I said earlier, it’s incredible how arguably the only economic environment which Poland eclipses the UK is in speedway. That’s not luck; they’re doing something right.
  4. They’re just fuming we’re having fun. Was @Bagpuss correct with his guess?
  5. What an effort from Scunthorpe. I’ve just seen the score on the Speedway Updates site. That’s a shocker for Poole. That won’t have been in the script, having finished top of the league and having the pick of the bunch.
  6. I’d never have got that, but is that actually a 70 year-old riding a speedway bike? Impressive. I’m half that age and require physiotherapy after I pick something up. Who?
  7. Thanks for this Lisa. I thought I’d miss the meeting as I was driving, but enjoyed listening to this. Decent coverage from a guy called Leon Foster, I think, and another gentleman whose name I missed. Glasgow have to be bitterly disappointed by the manner in which the meeting unfolded after the mid-meeting break. They collapsed. I wonder how accountable Tom Brennan and to a lesser extent, Lee Complin will be held by Cami Brown. Three points each - 6 out of a possible 33 - across eleven rides is unacceptable. On such an important occasion, your captain can’t be out-scored by every opponent, including their reserves. The impact of replacing Nowak with Tarasenko is nullified by that sort of performance. Oxford sounded efficient and based on their individual scores, looked impressive. Consistent throughout. That’s a very, very good win for them.
  8. Correct. This is more of a ding-dong than Louis v Loram at the ‘97 British Final.
  9. Brilliant. He was the only other Hungarian rider I could think of.
  10. I think that’s a Hungarian flag on his race bib, but the helmet, the bike and the kevlars look too modern for it to be my automatic guess of Robert Nagy. I’m wracking my brain for Hungarian riders and can’t think of any. Was Zoltan Adorjan Hungarian? Is it him?
  11. For those who haven’t seen it. Very best of wishes to him and what a wonderful creation air fences are. On a standard fence, that impact is career-threatening. He’ll be tender, but thanks to Poland’s finest morphine, he’ll be comfortable. https://x.com/parkmaszyn/status/1700942593960349719?s=46&t=X-fQh82nyLXPqBG4Ugqe7Q
  12. With hindsight, I’m asking about one meeting while we’re getting six live ones in the space of fourteen days. Unbelievable. Incredible work from those at BSN.
  13. That’s quite disappointing; you would expect Oxford versus Glasgow to be a closer match, plus it appears that Scunthorpe are making more live appearances on BSN than any other club in the play-offs. @jduffill are you able to shed any light?
  14. Best wishes to Wright. I’ve just read on Twitter/X that he left the track in an ambulance, but hopefully it’s precautionary.
  15. Cami Brown said Pijper’s x-rays are tomorrow while Vissing gets the results of his tomorrow. If there are no breaks observed in Vissing’s, he’ll be back as he’s “feeling better”.
  16. Okay, one clue: he won heat three of his first and only GP which was the 1996 Italian GP in Lonigo.
  17. An away win at Redcar following a home win against Oxford is an outstanding end to the season for Glasgow. That’s a lot of confidence to carry into the play-offs.
  18. I was admiring the matching team kevlars on Friday night, but remember you used to be able to recognise each rider by their individual ones. When I was a young boy, I’d even design my own on a piece of paper with some felt tip pens. Anyway, I’ll fire one of these in here every day; no clues allowed, just guess and the person to guess correctly has a turn, etc. It’ll be more fun than a PlayStation. Here’s the first one and we’re going back a few years. Guess who?
