Belle Vue -V- Ipswich POSF leg 1

The only person who said Ipswich would win every meeting was Tatum, nobody else. And he isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. -

My question is, is Brennan at number 5 a big risk? Just seen the line ups and I’m not confident of him in heat 13. Why Doyle is now a number 3 rider I don’t know. Emil takes 1 but Doyle should be 5. Too many movements for the Ipswich rider positions recently has killed all momentum. This could be lost by Monday night for us. Anything bigger than 50-40 and I think it’s done, especially on our current form. -

Looking at our next excuse incase we didn’t win probably! Either way… Sheffield rode the track fine. Very concerning how slow Emil and Doyle were in heat 15 as well. -

Totally agree with all the above. We are making far too many excuses for my liking as a witches fan. Moaning about weather changing the track, moaning about track prep (our problem not anyone else’s so just on with it) and keep using excuses of changing rider positions. This will come to bite us in the arse, ride your best riders in their best positions and build momentum, don’t keep p!sing about with it and wonder why we lose. -

Sometimes… is every-time with Ipswich though. If they don’t do this season with that team then I don’t hold out much hope any other year. Sometimes, people need to just stand up and be counted, and win a title. -

It was stated last week Sheffield win both matches and they finish top. -

Whilst I agree with what you said in principle, it’s a different feeling when you are at the stadium, paid £24, and the team just doesn’t perform when it is time to shine, same as Lynn knocking us out of the cup, we will get knocked out of play offs if the same team performance arises next week. The passion of the sports fan is what keeps the sport alive, not the casual fan who dips in and out. Speedway is different from stock cars, this is your team, it’s your club, these riders should be riding for your home town and representing it as best they can, in my personal opinion. -

Well that is so embarrassing for the Ipswich riders, needing to be beaten away to then decide to turn up at home, if that’s the case they have disrespected all the paying home fans, so I would suggest the above is untrue or there would be many unhapppy fans. Also, Brennan commented that Sheffield were gating better and we have things still to work on for next week. So let’s as Ipswich fans, stop making excuses for them. -

Does nobody have an issue this year with it being picked again then? All the comments about the joke of speedway and this one is just being accepted by people 🤦🏼 I’m not being funny but die hard fans accept it as they love the sport… but this ish needs to be stopped if you want to appeal to a wider audience who wouldn’t bother with it again. -
Apologies!

Nobody making any comments about how it should have been Sheffield vs Belle Vue next week? Everyone knows Ipswich would have been beaten at Sheffield thus making the league : 1. Sheffield 2. Ipswich 3. Leicester 4. Belle Vue Same circus as last year and same clowns involved. -

Let’s see if Ipswich win anything this season. There is a difference between doom and gloom and reality. If you are getting beaten at home then it’s not a good look. If it’s a nothing meeting then don’t expect fans to spend £24 to watch a training match. BS in my opinion. I’m all for Ipswich winning the title and I’d celebrate as much as the next guy, but just because I’m honest in my opinion when it’s against the team as well doesn’t mean it’s doom and gloom. 3 people…Emil, Doyle and Brennan won’t win you a meeting alone, I should know, I’m also a Gorzow fan 😂 -

I said it months ago but got shot down saying we are amazing at home… yet Leicester Lynn and Sheffield have done very well. We are looking one of the weakest sides in the play offs at the moment I would say. I don’t like the fact all season I hear “we need to all fire on the night and we are unbeatable”. The problem is, we never do, now Thompson is just as unreliable as Ellis and king, Edwards isn’t an improvement. We have a weak reserve pair at the moment. -

Glad we lost, riders looked uninterested and crowd was dead due to the score at the end. We will be out of the semi finals by Tuesday if we get beat by more than 49-41 Monday night, Thompson doesn’t look like a main body rider, he was struggling at 6 recently before he moved up. King hit and miss like Ellis, all season. Emil and Doyle starting to show inconsistency. And Sheffield would have finished top as they would have taken 3 points at home. So the whole circus act continues into play offs once again -

I said it when we lost against Lynn. We are not as strong now as people think. We won’t win the league, we are carrying people at the moment, and you can’t do that and win the league. We don’t even have our ‘foxhall’ advantage recently, we’ve been pretty crap to be fair… compared to the start of the season. -
This is the first realistic comment I’ve seen and deffo makes a lot of sense… this could work.

Yes I know it was last week, if that’s the popular opinion then the BSPL should have no option but to move the play offs IMO. A sport that is a comedy show continues to become one when you don’t even finish your official fixtures. That’s why Poland laughs at us, and why we have no large number of fans… it’s nowhere near a professional run sport. -

Oh sorry I thought last night was in September 🤦🏼 I must have got confused. The whole point is that you move everything forward so you have some slack weeks at the end of August for any rain offs. -

Now but have the official fixtures sown up by August would be an idea. -

That’s what you get when you get the ‘business end’ of the season in September, I’m sure many play offs matches will also be affected! One day they will learn! -
I’d be more happy if Sheffield rode that night this was called off. Like they did against us in the final when it suited them.

I’ve heard from someone at the club, although it is not 100% yet confirmed… but if Stal are relegated to the M.2 the more likely option is that they will declare the club bankrupt (due to last season) and drop to the 3rd tier of the league system, krajowa liga żużlowa, this will give the club a blank canvas to start again.
