  1. Oskar Paluch would be an ideal choice ! One of the best Polish juniors around.
  2. I did know what you mean but magic is an average rider in Ekstraliga as well. He isn’t a top pole rider full stop. But I do really like him as a person! Very classy.
  3. Embarrassing support from Kings Lynn, looks about 100 people there if that! If anyone watched speedway for the first time they’d be shocked it’s a competitive sport!
  4. TNT making British speedway look a lot more classy and professional on the preview!
  5. Yeah and lost against home and away against Ipswich as well, It’s still a speedway meeting which both teams wanted to win, so I class that as another two defeats. - you’ve lost against Sheffield and Ipswich, hence why I said you’re not in the top 2 teams of the league. I never said they would have the same team next season ? I said they built this team over the past 2 seasons to get to this stage.
  6. 1 & 2 are Witches & Sheffield at the moment. Only teams that are unbeaten. Belle Vue are up and down and struggle away. Witches and Sheffield have consistency currently. What is the problem with a sports league being split between top and bottom? Most sports league have strong teams and weak teams, that’s sport… whether you like it or agree with it. Ipswich built their team over 2 seasons, hasn’t just happened over night.
  7. Only speedway would you get your teams rider then riding for your Rivals 🤣 Just hope he doesn't get injured! Hopefully be a good meeting for the fans to watch on TV.
  8. I saw this with my Dad when he came last in heat 4 against Edwards. He could have dive bombed the first bend twice but shut off, I don't think he would have been told to ride safely, I think he just knows that we were 15-3 up at the time and the risk / reward wasn't worth it. If we were behind he would have made a move I think.
  9. Just to give the official statement and not just peoples guesses: Sayfutdinov was level on 8+1 but was suffering with bike issues on the night, whilst Doyle on 8+1 was put out in heat 15 instead, meaning Thompson got the nod. With Rew and Jeppesen suffering from illness and Jepsen Jensen absent, Birmingham put out Hume (3), Vuolas (2+1), Musielak (2) and Edwards (2). I've been to every home match this season and the crowd level was definitely lower, although remember this was streamed on BSN. People may wish to pay £12 so the family can watch it instead of, for example, x4 tickets at the stadium. Kings Lynn bank holiday will show if the Witches fans are getting bored or not, but I believe it will be packed as its a day out and local Derby!
  10. Routine win, more interested in the Billy Sanders heats. He was a true legend of the sport and Ipswich.
  11. Finest track in speedway is a long shot, Britain maybe, but I don't think even any Ekstraliga 2 teams would swap theirs for yours! The stadium is pretty small to be a national stadium... any decent event you need to rent another stand. I'm sure Foxhall holds more!
  12. The thing is, Tungate has actually rode extremely well for his first ever season in Ekstraliga for Rybnik! That could however be his downfall, we all know a few points in that league alone would dwarf any payment in Britain so maybe he is prioritizing, not that i believe it should be the case as all the other big guns deliver in both leagues! Magic has really been about a 7 point rider that last few seasons, Oxford are always in trouble in heat 13 unfortunately.
  13. That could be a fair point! I genuinely have no interest in any 'American sports' apart from when I lived in NYC and watched the Knicks a few times! America is a different world in all walks of life
  14. That is the other problem, we simply don't have enough riders to have a full squad for all prem and champ teams I guess.
  15. They need to add in relegation imo. I know, I know, teams in champ can’t afford the jump but what other sport can pick and choose what league they are in? Even this sports doesn’t do it apart from British speedway. If Poole made the jump, how big would the financial implications be? That’s a genuine question if anyone knows, I’m not being sarcastic!
  16. Emil and Doyle scoring 4 points from two heats was something Leicester needed to capitalise on.
  17. Again… whole team brining in points and no one being a passenger! Good strong away win! Certainly more enjoyable than last time we were at Leicester!
  18. Emil and Doyle need to bring this home in 13 and 15!
  19. Worst decision. You want people to pay to see the best, the crowd levels are due to the amazing teams, Belle Vue should have been allowed Ben cook back and let the teams build to be amazing. Not all average. Raise the points, some of the lower teams can’t get decent riders because of the promotion or money, so why would a GP rider from another good team want to go to them.
  20. TO WATCH: Live Stream: Leicester Lions TV - Speedway Streaming Register and sign in, click on the Lions vs Witches tab and pay £12. Full meeting and live stream starts 10 mins before tapes up.
  21. I think the stumbling blocks could be Becker and Douglas beating King and Ellis. Although, Thompson and Jenkins will back the guys up with good points and Doyle and Emil shouldn't be as bad as at Birmingham. Close match and good to watch but Witches to win by 6 or 8.
  22. He always looks and sounds miserable. Although he is riding out of his skin in this meeting! Surprised the crowd is so poor. I know it was weather pushing it from yesterday to today but still.
  23. Better on paper? That insinuates they aren’t good in reality, they are just better for a fact, not on paper. Look at the table! Walked over Belle Vue home and away, everyone assumed that would be a good match up and they got completely done. I do think Magic should have been allowed a re-run from when he fell on the first bend. The meeting didn’t have much riding on it at that point and another 5-1 to Ipswich seemed slightly underwhelming against only gusts.
  24. How this forum shows the bitterness of other teams is hilarious 😆 Ipswich built to the limit of points. We would have walked it last year as well and even other team managers admit that. Crowds are brilliant. Atmosphere outstanding. Last year the track was “awful” and now it’s a fair playing field with a better track we win by bigger margins! Lastly, people stop saying it’s gate and go. Ellis done a stunning outside overtake and Thompson done the best cut back from last to second on the first bend. It’s painful I know… but just admit teams aren’t up to it at foxhall. Oh sorry we’ve beaten everyone away as well
  25. If no injuries or bike issues, contrary to what I’ve said before about 60+ being not every week… I think looking at the line ups this could be high 50s / low 60s for Witches
