Emil isn’t riding next week, he is out of the semis but would come back for the final, if we get through. The team announced for Monday night could do a job on Leicester, presuming our actually team turns up like last night. Although the second leg is anyways guess… Lynn run them good away last night though !

On a positive note. It was actually a decent meeting to go and watch, Ellis not making gates but had to make some good moves. Rew was flying and that’s a massive positive. The fans together jokingly counting down from 10-0 for the failure of a bike. It wasn’t actually a down beat atmosphere but quite good. I think everyone went knowing we lost but just went to support anyway.

Decent team. Kvech has rode well against Leicester for Lynn. Boughen Is a decent replacement for Jenkins. Ride like that night and we could win a match finally !!

People keep going on about putting too much into just two riders (Doyle and Emil). Ok so take these out of your teams: fricke / lawson j. Holder / pickering kurtz / bewley and we will see how many trophies you win this year Sheffield congratulations on winning and you can really only beat the team in front. You deserved it over two legs. Without sounding bitter I do wonder if even just having Emil in the team we would have run super close to winning both compitions. But that’s ifs or buts I guess and this is speedway!

Randomly thought I’d watch on Oxford TV their semi final tonight. King and Jenkins both crashed and hope they’re ok! 🤕 oh dear Ipswich it isn’t our year is it !

Interesting, we had the countdown format then when it loaded was the previous Sheffield vs Ipswich league match? Refreshed the screen and got a “currently offline” message? We sat on the screen waiting from 21:30 until the 22:00 (roughly) start time.

Brennan is for play offs already confirmed. Only one guest spot left unless Emil is fit. Lindgren unavailable. I logged into BSN but didn’t have any meeting… had a count down then just said meeting office, refreshed the screen and only available was the 5th meeting

Lidsey number one at Ipswich but not at his own club… sums up our season of guest and RR doesn’t it ! I hope Emil gets fit soon, and not even to ride for play offs because we have no chance, just because he is a top guy and I wish him all the best!

I need to have a re-think on if I will attend Foxhall again this year. Jesus it’s a sad site at the moment. Didn’t think we were that top heavy this year but clearly so!

Also, Brennan and Lidsey tried. But it’s as simple as this… Emil and Doyle maybe 10 points each tonight. The guests tonight have combined 13 points. Our full team result potentially about 42-48 away loss which would have been winnable back at Foxhall. This is the situation we are and will be in for the rest of the three matches we have.

Just out if interested has anyone actually been able to try and watch the rerun on BSN, they had it prepped to go then just dropped offline and when refreshed only had our Thursday meeting. I wonder why this sport is so damaged in this country!?!? Eurosport and now BSN can’t get it right. Congrats Sheffield though. I doubt many people will be turning up Thursday.

Torun into the Semi-finals of polish play offs so they will still be hoping Emil rides for them and then potentially Ipswich can have him ride as well. Grudziądz out, so Fricke season finished in Poland and will be wanting the British trophy at least I’m sure!

Also to add, doesn’t this make kings Lynn vs Leicester on Monday pointless, therefore we lose a live meeting of the cup final for a nothing match now. Even worse than before.

It has been announced that the Witches will face off again Lions on Monday 9th Sept. Thoughts and guesses of line ups anyone!?

The only chance I see us having at the slightest is play offs featuring Emil and Brennan. Even then it will be a push. I really think Emil held the team together and if he comes back it could bring new confidence and energy into the team. Personally, I would tip Leicester to take the trophy. These cup matches can be good practise for Tom to get moulded in time for play offs... its speedway, anything can happen.

This is true, they are very open and honest and have nothing to hide. They probably want people to know they are trying to book the best they can and put on a good show. The problem is, and will always be, whoever you book will not come close to who we have lost this season.

Supporting the boys is always key so I'll be at Foxhall (Can't make Sheffield as I'll be in Poland). The fact is, even with any top 5 SGP rider it just isn't the same winning anything this year, I want to celebrate with Emil and Doyle holding any trophy. Plus, any top 5 rider in the SGP probably couldn't do as well as Emil or Doyle in this league either, and I include the Polish Ace in that category. Good luck to all teams in the Cup and Playoffs!

To be fair that is a good shout and I did think kind of along the same lines although my thought process was that i think Sweden and another two countries (can’t remember) are the reason the Russian riders aren’t allowed in SGP due to them not allowing the riders to race in their countries in the Grand Prix. And I think everyone knows at the moment what Emil thinks of the SGP at this time. I asked Richie that same night if Emil would go back to SGP next year and basically said ‘no chance’.

Why would I watch Poland illegally when I live there half of the year and have canal + sport and Eleven sport ?

How confident are we that Emil stays? Speaking to Hawkins last week after Belle Vue, Doyle is pretty much signed, Emil has chosen England over Sweden the last two years, Richie isn’t sure if he will go to Sweden as it’s easier for him to travel. He did say if Emil choses England then it’s 100% Witches. I just hope Doyle and Emil feel like they have missed riding with each other so next year they try again 🤛🏼
