  1. One thing is for sure, the semi final on Thursday you’ll be missing Ben Cook. He is riding for Leszno Thursday night against Poznan and Bydgoszcz are hot on their heels for the automatic promotion place so they won’t allow him prioritise Lynn.
  2. Yes but just remember they will also have their own sponsors and Doyle is highly paid being sponsored by Boll who are huge in Poland.
  3. Anyone know how SEC works in regards to who races? Can’t believe anyone can just ask to ride it… if all GP boys decided to ride it’ll it then it would be 100% nailed on they get into next year no? Do you qualify to get into SEC?
  4. It’s a select few that can’t accept they aren’t actually very good this year. 3rd best in fact in the league and the worst team to enter the knock out cup by looking at the results. Finishing top matters to me because I want both semi and final second legs at home, they don’t mind because half of them won’t attend the meeting but moan about the result 😂 One question, did Belle Vue use the same methanol down last night as the previous meeting that Mark lemon moaned about ? 😉
  5. Didn’t Birmingham beat Belle Vue? So that’s two points they need to recover at either Ipswich Leicester or Sheffield.
  6. Belle Vue love this comment ‘when it means something’ or similar. Am I totally deluded or do you have to get in the top four for the play offs therefore, they do mean something. Or you’d lose all the meetings always claiming they don’t mean anything then come last in the league. Stop being bitter about having your bonus point taken away and just admit you got done over. If you got the bonus point the comments would have been, oh we went to get the bonus point so job done. 😂
  7. That's fair, probably same that stats mean nothing* until the end of the year too! Belle Vue fans are touchy after last night!
  8. Think you missed the joke, it was how Tatum would commentate the meeting. I didn't realise BV fans would be that sensitive to take this as a dig 😂
  9. Welcome to Foxhall stadium, home of the Ipswich witches, they are my favourites to win the league this season with a solid 1-7. Heat 1 gets us underway, Jason Doyle and Danny King in the yellow and white helmets looking for a solid start. Heat two, young Vinnie Foord. I don’t know much about Vinnie but what I do know is that he is a speedway rider and he rides speedway bikes. Young Tate comes in for the injured Norick, sorry no that’s Ben Cook, apologies Zack Cook. Heat 15 now… scores locked at 51-33 to the home team, Bewley and Kurtz need a big 5-1 here to make it all level! Emil is at the tapes, great to see him back in British speedway. Wow what a race… speedway from the top draw !!!! Just in case you missed the commentary last night 😂
  10. No excuse round Belle Vue at all. We’ve beaten BV 3 times out of 4 this season so no excuses needed 😉
  11. The one video is more promotion that the actual promoters 😂I want my share of the money if there is any left in the pot after all those points are paid out 😉
  12. Kings emotion was definitely evident after heat 15 but fair play when you’ve just schooled the 2nd and 4th current best riders in the world, and bear in mind them two are the ‘kings’ of wall riding at NSS! Nobody on that track wanted it more than King. Hat off to Thompson as well doing the business and really showing his form is getting back. Great night and great win. Marker has been set for everyone else… come to Foxhall with 14 points and leave with nothing.
  13. Looking at the points and watching from the stand. Danny King made some unreal wide passes on bend 3/4 and how he hung on to go outside of the ‘powerhouse’ of BV is quite unbelievable. He really put in a captains performance and deserves a special mention. Brennan rode well I must say, Emil done what needed to be done in heat 13. Doyle rode solid and didn’t wipe any of us out! And Thompson done brilliant to hold off Cook for a crucial 5-1 in heat 14. Felt sorry for Vinnie, he was trying but it was just another level tonight of racing but it’s very good exposure, and a good atmosphere hopefully opens his eyes to what he can do in the sport when reaching the Prem so it’ll give him the push on he needs. Lastly, any of you ‘one league’ fans can take that somewhere else. Never would I give up heat 13 of Doyle, Emil, Kurtz, Bewley. Just seeing them line up gets you pumped for the heat. That’s what I pay my money for. Long way to go but Up the witches!
  14. Deffo agree with you, no space to overtake. I mean I didn’t see king do both Bewley and Kurtz in the same bend at all tonight, oh sorry and Thompson doing overtakes, oh sorry and Emil and Doyle passing Belle Vue riders, oh sorry and Brennan going on the inside and then out. Deffo no room to overtake though if you can’t actually race a different track 😉
  15. Think you are doing yourself a disservice there! It'll be a closer than that score line I believe. Vinnie probably won't pick up any points, maybe in heat 2 only. King Ellis and Brennan are still hit and miss so you don't know what you'll get. And you'll get a 5-1 in Heat 15 when Doyle wipes out Emil😂
  16. 4 Teams are evenly matched I'd say looking at results. Lynn are hit and miss but a full 1-7 is a solid team. Brummies' and Oxford just can't hit any consistency. Agree with the comment about promoters though! Nobody promotes anything. a few social media posts is classed as good promoting these days. Maybe Ipswich getting Jenkins or Thompson to visit a few schools or some flyers around the town would slightly raise awareness for Ipswich!
  17. Nobody would turn up for £30. If you think British speedway premiership is worth £30 you're dreaming. It doesn't have even half the superstars Poland has yet you can pick up a ticket in Poland for £13 for Ektraliga, with top quality stadia and everything that goes with it.
  18. The proof will be in the pudding if this one league happens and still no promotion takes place which we all know it won't, so lets see how many fans turn up to Foxhall without Doyle and Emil and how many turn up to NSS without Kurtz and Bewley, bear in mind half the Belle Vue don't turn up now for their stated 'qualifiers'.
  19. Any twit knows you don't need 5 or 6 million to promote something right. If you are spending 5 or 6 million to promote British speedway I'd say the problem is you and not the sport.
  20. Only one stat that matters... and that reads Ipswich Witches top of the league. So we are better than you in the league and in the cup. Also, some of those stats stated above were probably pulled from last year when we never had a full 1-7. Although, I do expect tomorrow night to be a good encounter!
  21. How are you going to race on nights that suit you if you can't get the riders to race that night? People need to understand you can't just think making one league is the magic wand and everyone comes running back into the stadiums. Make one league all you want, but bugger all will happen because nobody in Britain will know about it anyway. You need to get the promotion correct first.
  22. I would suggest that this season is only 5 teams anyway. Oxford and Birmingham totally out of the running for play offs and they have nothing to play for as there isn't relegation in British speedway, therefore, their last matches are nothing to play for which is again a joke within the sport. At least with relegation they would still need to try and pick up points. The whole system is flawed I would say!
  23. No to one league. It isn’t going to work. Riders won’t be available or enough of them, certain race nights for better crowds but other track can only be used during the week because of stock cars. You won’t have part time riders who will have to choose work around race days / nights. They just need to improve their promotion of this current set up and ACTUALLY promote it properly and add a class of professionalism to the way it’s run. Watching John down the road who has a speedway bike at foxhall on a Thursday night for £20 vs watching Emil Doyle Brennan etc for £24 isn’t a step forward.
