Depends if Sheffield are racing because they wouldn't have J. Holder! I'd love just a European Cup Comp. but everyone rides for everyone in the different league!

One question, why do Ipswich, Belle Vue and Sheffield have to get punished because other teams can't do a good job at securing a solid team? Ipswich could lose hundreds of supporters if Emil or Doyle goes, and Birmingham gain another man and his dog turning up because they arrive at PB. Just face facts, some clubs have better support than others. Instead of watering down the league, maybe think about trying to promote the product you have now in a better way, Birmingham have a decent team and is located in the second capital of the country but can't get anyone in the stadium. When I was working the other day down in Essex with some sub-contractors from Brum I told them I'm watching the Birmingham vs Ipswich speedway that night and they didn't even know that PB housed speedway! That's more of an issue than trying to do a 6 man team or nick other riders from good teams.

Two Tier Premiership

I'd say this season is the strongest league for a while. Now you have 5 teams competing for the play offs and not 4. It's always about luck of injuries, Tai this year and I'm sure (although i don't want it) there will be more to come this season. Keep a fit team and you can sneak the play offs. Ipswich almost came out worse on Monday when Brennan had his crash, i had flash backs of last season starting over again! -
Leicester lost to Ipswich, at Leicester 😂... you were saying? Oh and Kings Lynn, Oxford, Leicester, Belle Vue and Birmingham have all lost this season. I'll stop typing now to save your point.

Yeah and lost against home and away against Ipswich as well, It’s still a speedway meeting which both teams wanted to win, so I class that as another two defeats. - you’ve lost against Sheffield and Ipswich, hence why I said you’re not in the top 2 teams of the league. I never said they would have the same team next season ? I said they built this team over the past 2 seasons to get to this stage. -

1 & 2 are Witches & Sheffield at the moment. Only teams that are unbeaten. Belle Vue are up and down and struggle away. Witches and Sheffield have consistency currently. What is the problem with a sports league being split between top and bottom? Most sports league have strong teams and weak teams, that’s sport… whether you like it or agree with it. Ipswich built their team over 2 seasons, hasn’t just happened over night. -
Ipswich v Birmingham 24th April

I saw this with my Dad when he came last in heat 4 against Edwards. He could have dive bombed the first bend twice but shut off, I don't think he would have been told to ride safely, I think he just knows that we were 15-3 up at the time and the risk / reward wasn't worth it. If we were behind he would have made a move I think. -

Just to give the official statement and not just peoples guesses: Sayfutdinov was level on 8+1 but was suffering with bike issues on the night, whilst Doyle on 8+1 was put out in heat 15 instead, meaning Thompson got the nod. With Rew and Jeppesen suffering from illness and Jepsen Jensen absent, Birmingham put out Hume (3), Vuolas (2+1), Musielak (2) and Edwards (2). I've been to every home match this season and the crowd level was definitely lower, although remember this was streamed on BSN. People may wish to pay £12 so the family can watch it instead of, for example, x4 tickets at the stadium. Kings Lynn bank holiday will show if the Witches fans are getting bored or not, but I believe it will be packed as its a day out and local Derby! -

Routine win, more interested in the Billy Sanders heats. He was a true legend of the sport and Ipswich. -

Finest track in speedway is a long shot, Britain maybe, but I don't think even any Ekstraliga 2 teams would swap theirs for yours! The stadium is pretty small to be a national stadium... any decent event you need to rent another stand. I'm sure Foxhall holds more! -
Oxford vs Leicester 21/04/25 PLR1 1pm
ShanoXtra replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The thing is, Tungate has actually rode extremely well for his first ever season in Ekstraliga for Rybnik! That could however be his downfall, we all know a few points in that league alone would dwarf any payment in Britain so maybe he is prioritizing, not that i believe it should be the case as all the other big guns deliver in both leagues! Magic has really been about a 7 point rider that last few seasons, Oxford are always in trouble in heat 13 unfortunately. -

That could be a fair point! I genuinely have no interest in any 'American sports' apart from when I lived in NYC and watched the Knicks a few times! America is a different world in all walks of life -

That is the other problem, we simply don't have enough riders to have a full squad for all prem and champ teams I guess. -

They need to add in relegation imo. I know, I know, teams in champ can’t afford the jump but what other sport can pick and choose what league they are in? Even this sports doesn’t do it apart from British speedway. If Poole made the jump, how big would the financial implications be? That’s a genuine question if anyone knows, I’m not being sarcastic!
