  1. Never been so thankful for the fast forward button, really terrible meeting, Kelvin said twice a good nights speedway, thats really selling the sport to any newbie tuning in, if they think thats a good night they certainly wont be in a hurry to pay a visit.
  2. Theres been plenty of tears around Old Trafford since that game Lisa, Hopefully Ten Hag can oversee the rebuild we are so desperate for, as for Aces very early days, i dont think Zagar neccessarily makes us favourites as some seem to think, today was one of those days, we rode really well Peterborough had a bad day at the office, Harris Nicholls had bike problems Basso was nowhere near the pace, i think we would have won anyway but no doubt it wouldnt have been the landslide.
  3. No doubt we will see quite a few changes as the season progresses, with the play off system it's now not about the team you start with but the team you finish with.
  4. To be fair Wolfie when Wolves signed Tai for the play offs only which did us no favours my thought was fair play to them.
  5. The overall production was very good and a step up for speedway on TV, expecting a follow the leader borefest i thought the meeting was actually good with some good racing, Kelvin did a sterling job it was obvious how affected he was by recent events. I just hope it dosent turn out to be a boring one man stroll to the title as its hard to see where a challenge to Zmarzlik is going to come from at the moment.
  6. Welcome back Matej, no doubt the lower deck lawyers will soon find another cause.
  7. And that dosent sit with the BSF agenda, the rule is straight forward, if the move is illegal it will be overturned by the BSPl, people are interpreting it to suit their own argument, where none exists, Poole got it all the time.
  8. I would be more worried about the future of the showground than our trophy cabinet. It also underlines the history of the club that we can go nearly thirty years without much success but still be the most successful club throughout the history of the sport. Recent history is bobbins but the club have always been there and hopefully will be for many more seasons.
  9. I would have thought that when Poole had problems with the track it would have hindered them more than the away side, now the track has been sorted and its consistent the home riders will know how its going to be prepared each week so will make the task even more difficult for the away teams, more than just Oxford will get a thumping there.
  10. No matter how good a track if one team dosent turn up or is well outclassed you wont really get good racing, similar to mid day starts on bank holiday meetings, not every meeting can be full of great racing.
  11. A massive shock, very sad news RIP Nigel and condolences to the family,
  12. A shame when there was such a good crowd in, always appears to be the case.
  13. Good luck for the re launch tonight hope its a good meeting. Great to see the Cheetahs back, a track i always enjoyed visiting. Ive got my ticket for the Poole meeting having a couple of nights in Oxford after our meeting at Wolves. Looking forward to it.
  14. Thanks its just i couldnt find the link to tickets on the Oxford site.
  15. Going to be taking in an Oxford meeting probably next week, can you buy tickets online? Cheers.
  16. I think people who actually live in the city trump the BBC weather forecast which is dodgy to say the least.
  17. I know that but the success rate wont change with either, at least Lemon isnt bleeding the club dry like the Glaziers.
  18. United have the Glaziers Aces have Lemon coincidence the silverware is heading elsewhere?
  19. Been a nice day today blue sky and sunny, pity about the injury/illness problems hope it dosent detract too much from the racing.
  20. Cant see beyond an away win unless Musielak and Ellis replicate their PC form which i very much doubt.
  21. Considering how long it was taking i prepared to be underwhelmed, i wasnt disappointed.
  22. I will support the Aces and Colts but no other Premiership promoter will be getting a penny from me, the Championship will suffice for my away days, i would have dropped down a long time ago tbh, not done Poole any harm has it?
  23. Has there ever been a more iconic photo taken? I started going in 1968 so missed out on seeing the original PC, a total legend.
  24. Not forgetting the programme insert that they put into old programmes for meetings that have been rained off, really encourages people does that.
  25. I spend more in the track shop in one purchase than i would spend all season on a programme.
