  1. The Poole team does look handy, but I'm not thinking 26 is going to be easy. Redcar is looking particularly strong imo, Glasgow and Oxford are there or thereabouts, but others like say Plymouth have real strengths too. Should make for a competitive season, with close matches, can't wait.
  2. So what average would Beau come in at?
  3. Are there any favourites for the wooden spoon in 2026.
  4. Ahh didn't realise that, but if I were to sponsor an up & coming rider, I would be tempted to use that as leverage to get them to sign for my chosen team when they come of age. Certainly it would seem slightly bizarre to sponsor a rider of an opposing team. Or is Rushden closely connected to Wessex Marine in some other way?
  5. Bearing in mind that Wessex Marine are sponsoring Cooper Rushden for 2026, I can't see him being anywhere other than Poole.
  6. My apologies Redcar, I probably shouldn't have posted my last comment, I never intended to put a stop to your thread. Previously I had just been admiring your team for 26, which looks full of potential, maybe my one reservation would be that there's no obvious second rider come heat 15. Good luck in 26.
  7. Well to get back on topic, who has advanced knowledge about who the sixth rider is to be announced this evening, and will it be a surprise?
  8. Just guessing but Triple H is an English teacher...... right? Well I'm dyslexic and these things happen get over it... at least you understood what I meant.
  9. Have a bit of faith in your team, that's what I like to see. Bearing in mind that the Bears had a very good 25 season coupled to the one over 8 rule, then you inevitably had to loose riders for 26.To me the 26 Bears look to be a sound team, who should be contenders for silverware.
  10. Cairns did do well in his first half a season, he can be fast but still has plenty of particularly race craft to learn, how to pressure riders in front and how to overtake. He would do well to study Jodi Scott's rides in the Knockout final at Wimborne Road. Redcar look a well balance team to me, could be a good season for them.
  11. Why hasn't this thread been pinned???!!! But 2024 and 2025 is still topping the list? OK How do you get threads pinned?

  13. I seem to remember a very similar situation/argument with Kerr this time last year, whereas in practise it turned out to be more a matter of form and mechanical reliability.
  14. Was it actually a case of Tobias out Gilkes in. I don't really care, because much as I think Toby did a a job for Poole over the last two seasons, Toby had reached his level but Dan has the potential to go far further. A shrewd signing. Assuming it is Zac and Cooper I'm a happy bunny.
  15. What team number do people think Bowes will be, I'm assuming number?
  16. Fraser Bowes should do fine, looking back at his league scores for 25, generally he was his average, or r/r, or in double figures. Number 4 I presume?! He might even flourish at Wimborne Road, being a Pirate can do that to a rider.
  17. Tobias has been great particularly come a final (I even went so far as getting him a full size Danish flag to show him he was was loved at Poole) but right now he is his GSA, and now really is the time to part ways. We (Poole) now(for 26) need somebody who gives good value for their GSA with potential for great improvement. So long Tobias, thanks for a job well done, good luck in the future (but not against the Pirates), but remember 24/25 were probably your golden year's mate.
  18. You can have the best kit, but if you don't know how to set it up properly and crucially meticulously maintain it, then you can easily miss out on race results. Top spanner men/women are a must if a rider is to fulfil their potential.
  19. Nicholls and King makes for an interesting heat 15, whether that leaves enough for a balanced team is the question? Surely Plymouth fans will always be worried by what Poole have?! *"&-
  20. My main concern is Kerr's "mechanicals", he's poor meetings in 25 have all too often come down to avoidable mechanical issues, what he really needs in 26 is good machinery and somebody to prepare his bikes in a thorough professional manner. Spanner men can play a crucial role.
  21. Just hoping Lawson is back to his usual ultra reliable form, because Poole have probably become a bit too reliant on him this season. Would like to see an all round team performance tonight, to finish the season on a high.
  22. Thanks for that, remember to bawl out the first thing that comes to mind as loud as you can.! That's what I do and it seems to work.
  23. Well it'll be one short..... bit of a drag. Hoping the Pirates can do the job without me shouting helpful suggestions.
  24. BCP really ought to be right behind proactively securing Wimborne Road for the future of the Pirates, one of the areas premier assets that puts Poole on the map. Looking forward to our last meeting of the season, hope it can go ahead on Wednesday.
  25. Have to agree, should continue to improve and gives good value for his GSA.
