  1. Why do people find the need to say the club has made a mistake in moving a rider on? If you follow a team in another sport you support the club and the players that play for your club badge each year. Speedway is no different. Craig has had a great career over 3 spells in a Comets bib both domestically and on the international stage with a variety of success over the rest of his club career so now he isnt a part of the plans its deemed a bad decision? I will envisage there are multitude of pros/cons to sign any rider and the club has deemed that he doesnt fit the mould for the upcoming season. This is a chapter that has closed for now (at least) but rest assured the club will be putting together a side with all intention of winning silverwear and like the sides in 2018 & 2024 write the 2025 side in your peril!
  2. We still managed to win young shield twice more, the PLRC, Best Pairs and the historic treble in 2018. Now for the new era to kick on and bring back the glory days of the past... starting with the Best Pairs on April 5th
  3. Leaked.... No one would do that like 2024 🙈🙈🙈 Who knows what will come but no doubt we will be competitive and challenging if we can let Craig leave there must be another find incoming 🤞
  4. The club will have reasons for letting Craig go and thats the harsh reality. Maybe a few off track issues may not have helped like running R/R at Redcar in a crutial meeting. Speedway is a numbers game and while the numbers dictate teams that maybe give the club no option. Whatever 7 the promotion put together will have my full backing. Im sure that whatever team represents the Comets we will be behind them come April. Naturally speedway is an expensive sport to run and promote which if you read each clubs pages they all would love more paying customers. We have one MASSIVE selling point.. Our Track. It is widely regarded as one of the best in British Speedway and a blueprint many current or lost clubs could only dream of. Looking forward to seeing our team release over the coming months.
  5. Best and worst thing for the sport as it allows fans the chance to sit at home and watch a meeting for 12 pun with there family like i know happened with the play off semi final. On the positive note the exposure is awesome and gives less fortunate fans who dont go Home/Away the chance to follow there team with a big fat pizza int house.
  6. 2 of them are moving on and 1 is retiring aint he? Heard Moggo is going back
  7. Cant see him back the way the end of the season went. Batch is far superior coupled with a fresh static were on for a good season.
  8. Hearing from the AGM Workington are looking at the NDL for 2025 with the club looking at creating an asset base of local youngsters from the North and give them a chance of a career in the sport. With local riders like Laylan Richardson mixed with fan favourite Elliot Kelly, a return to the third tier could be on the cards.
  9. Zischke will soon be announced with Vuolas missing out. Looks to be going to Birmingham
  10. James Wright at reserve will give the Bears a strong tail but not sure on Sam McGurk like
  11. Freddy Hodder is a sure starter for the Tiggers in 25'
  12. Heard Nick Morris is on for a return to Scotland with Richie Worrall
  13. Aint Starke signed for Poole? Heard it was agreed in August
  14. He is back at Leicester and he is off to Plymouth with his marra Ronnie Barker 🤓
  15. He is off to Edinburgh with Richie Worrall
  16. 1 Cook 8.42 2 Lightcap 5.00 3 Jenkins 6.21 4 Gilkes 5.08 5 Zischke 6.96 6 Trigger 3.00 7 Bailey 4.97 Total 39.64 From what i heard on Friday night this team isnt going to be far away! Cant say who i have added but i have 5 certs and on good authority the rest are 'Done Deals'.
  17. Voulas from Workington is one to add to the mix. Good showing in the Riders Final and his average wont be too bad. Done well in the end of season for Belle Vue too
  18. What is the 2nd verse in reference to? From what i seen of Troy in Workingtons colours he seemed to score well and stepped up when your No 1 wasnt leading the team out.
  19. Does this game still work? I spent so much of my youth on this game and wonder how it can be used in todays age. What a basically time losing game. Would be interested if you have access to it.
  20. Id say Troy would be fine for Poole in the Premiership TBH. He has rode for most sides. He could double down with Workington.
  21. Il have a poke at a team for you based on riders used and available/potential signing: 1 Batchelor 2 Lightcap 3 Zisckhe 4 Edwards 5 D Thompson 6 Bickley 7 Starke
