Last time I looked Manchester United plyed their trade in the top level of the sport in this country alongside the other big boys . Poole however have no ambition to be the best that they can be in the sport, preferring to come top of a league where they’re very rarely challenged and when they are they find any way to win. It’s obviously about the ££ for them. Prestige and honour doesn’t come into it. I’m surprised the pirates fans continue to fall for it. It’s not as if the racing is top notch down there. I don’t have a problem with guests Dave. They’re a necessary evil in the sport. Always have been. My problem is that Max Frickes season in this country had ended as well as his teams. To then be able to start it up again with a different club at this stage of it seems wrong. That’s why I called it a tin pot rule. If someone guested who hasn’t actually raced in the league this season, i.e lambert or whoever then although not ideal, would be acceptable. Just my opinion

You’ve got to love speedway and its tin pot rules . If Man United reach the champions league final ( unlikely I know) and Man City don’t, with it being the last game of the season, can united sign Erling Haaland to play in it and help them win it ? Robert Lambert was a different case. He hadn’t ridden for anyone before the play offs whereas Fricke has already had a failed attempt at another club. Not that any of this matters because as witches fans are quick to point out, the seasons a sham , a write off and pointless anyway.

Don’t rope United into city’s problems in filling the emptihad. Still 76,000 turn up at OT despite the dross served up these last few years. As for the speedway you can only beat whats in front of you. Pity the rest of the league has been sub standard so the entertainment is non existent at times.
