  1. In football ,the top 3 teams in the championship get promoted. The same 3 teams usually get relegated the following year. But the same rules apply every year. They get their chance. The 3 teams freshen up the top league at least. New faces . And if any are good enough then they stay up. It’s evolution to a point. As for the young riders not being good enough, how will we know until they get their chance. We know they won’t come out on top straight away but it will be interesting to watch their progress. The 3 wildcards aren’t good enough too. Otherwise they wouldn’t need a pick year on year. The gp has gone stale. Wheeling out the usual suspects who’ll never challenge the top spot will just worsen it.
  2. Another drab gp year ahead then. Same riders year on year . No challengers to Bartek other than Brady and Dan . The winner of SGP 2 should definitely be promoted to SGP1 the following year. Obviously a good rider to win that can definitely improve at the top level. Every sport has promotion as a prize . Speedway is different obviously. That’s why it’s struggling badly and the gp has become a procession.

  4. Definitely. Plenty of top riders who were also characters too. Sadly lacking nowadays.
  5. Tiger was a top man . Ex Halifax Dukes alongside King Kenny and Demon Doug Wyer .
  6. The Ipswich Bitches . Christ what will you be like if Doyle dosent get his wildcard . The worst part of your lot coming out of the woodwork into a final is the likes of you piping up with your garbage. Come on Max and the Lions . Everyone but the bitches are rooting for you.
  7. Who says the new blood isn’t good enough till it’s given a chance to see. Seeing the same old faces is a huge part of why the series has become boring. Thank god for Brady and Dan keeping it alive. As for Doyle , he was the new blood once . He hasn’t always been the rider he is today but he , sadly has become part of the furniture and won’t challenge at the top again. Fricke is ultra professional, as he proved last night whereas Dole and Brennan had different ideas last night. The series needs a recharge with some new riders , not same old same old again. In my opinion.
  8. Depends what you call south. I’m from Huddersfield so Sheffield is south to me whereas Redcar is north to me but south to Glasgow and Berwick. Whereas Edinburgh….. confused you will be 😳
  9. Fingers crossed for Leicester to come out on top in the final . Professional throughout the season and especially last night. Fricke has been outstanding and deserves to be a champion. No going through the motions. What happened to Doyle and Brennan ? Let’s hope they turn the switch back on for Torun.
  10. Who fancies Holder as their new number one ? I’ll give that a miss. Rather have Craig Cook . And he’s never there .
  11. The night Kurtz didn’t try apparently, he scored 4 points , away from home , on a cow patch. The same night Ipswich number one Emil , scored exactly the same. Wasn’t he trying too ? Or did he have them ongoing stomach problems he obviously suffers from ???
  12. I’m sure you’ll agree through no fault of his own . Did all he could really . Hopefully he will . We need the best riders here to prop up our dying sport. He’s one a couple of leagues here that will tide him over.
  13. Kurtz had a world title to consider once he’d realised his team were out. Emil had a Polish league final to consider . Maybe that’s why he wasn’t at his best that night too. It would be better for it to be cancelled for you because Doyle will definitely end up on his arse on that cow patch
  14. Kurtz had world title in a few days after. Totally different scenario again. And a much bigger one . You can’t have it both ways
  15. Can’t see them doing what you’re suggesting after your reactions to Kurtz last week. Surely you wouldn’t condone your own riders doing it yet slaughtering Brady would you ?
  16. Yes they should take a leaf out of Brady’s book. Ipswich fans totally understood why he eased off last week didn’t they.😑 So they’ll surely forgive their riders doing the same . With bigger things ahead to consider.
  17. Totally agree about Doyle . And Parnitskyi should be included as this year’s GP2 winner. Makes total sense to promote the winner of that series every year . That way we’re guaranteed at least 1 new face. And a good one at that. Give youth a chance I reckon.
  18. I’d have Parnitskyi , Cierniak or Kowalski before Doyle . All young up and coming and hungry. Wanting to show they can mix it at the top. As good as Doyle was , he’s had his day and brings no new interest. Also he likes a fall so is likely to miss gp’s too. Nothing wrong with freshening things up to re energise the competition. Just my opinion.
  19. The 3 you mentioned bring nothing new . The 3 I mentioned certainly do but as you know they won’t be in , lets look forward to another exciting gp year. Thank god for Kurtz and Bewley to add the interest the rest sadly lack.
  20. Yes put them all back in . Same old same old. Laguta and sayfutdinov are better than the 3 you’ve quoted. Woffinden brings character and interest. And who knows, may reach top levels again. Maybe not consistently but then your 3 don’t either.
  21. Suppose it says everything about the strength of the top level riders these days when it’s so hard to find 4 credible challengers to make each round more interesting. I agree woffindens best days are behind him but one thing he isn’t is mundane and boring, which is what top level speedway has become with no characters like Ward , Carter , Havelock etc . Hopefully he’ll come back stronger after his lay off this year . We already know the top 3 in 2026 and probably in the same order .
  22. Kurtz did all he could to be number 1 this year. Nobody good enough to help him out by topping Zmarzlik. We need possible challengers. Doyle top class in his day at the top level but those days are now gone and he’ll know it deep down. He may challenge once or twice but over 10 rounds. No chance. Wild cards must be possible challengers or it will be the same predictable results on boring circuits. For what it’s worth I’d go for Laguta, Emil, Madsen and woffinden ( box office )
  23. I’ll be another one to lose the argument then. Your posts say it all about you. Change your name to Dick . More fitting.
