  1. Until Peter Schroeck brings his tactical nouse to the table
  2. He's actually seventh [of seven] in 2025 averages for all official fixtures http://www.gbspeedway.com/2025/teamstats.php?mc1=f&mc2=ta&mc3=av&mc4=Oxford Cheetahs&team=Oxford Cheetahs&league=B&comp=All&avtype=av&reload=Y#mobile_stats
  3. Make it interesting, book Vinnie as a guest
  4. The problem with that approach is that most riders in that position would simply walk away from Britain deciding it isn't worth the hassle. I'm pretty sure Ben Cook, Tungate and Gusts to take the most obvious recent offenders would all take that approach.
  5. Earliest I can find is (interesting team names): 2 June 2018 Gillman Zielona Gora 38 Zaine Kennedy…………………. 2 4 3 FX – – 9 Fraser Bowes…………………… 0 1 1* 6 0 1* 9+2 Declan Knowles……………….. 1 0 R 2 1 – 4 Declan Kennedy………………. FX 2 1* 2 3 2 10+1 Rider replacement……………. Aaron Jackson…………………. 1 1 1* 2 1 – 6+1 Dayle Wood…………………….. 0 0 0 0 – – 0 Edinburgh Monarchs 57 Justin Sedgmen……………….. 3 3 3 3 – – 12 Kane Lawrence………………… 1 1 1* 0 R – 3+1 Robert Medson………………… 2* 2* 2 2* 1 – 9+3 Ben Cook………………………… 3 3 3 1* 2 3 15+1 Rider replacement……………. Matt Pickering………………….. 3 3 R 3 3 0 12 Arlo Bugeja………………………. 2* 2* 2 0 – – 6+2 He also rode for 'Swindon' and 'Leszno' in meetings at Gillman that winter..
  6. Given that these days riders often peak in their 30s and that 3 or 4 years ago the concensus seemed to be that Brady Kurtz had 'reached his level' I think that is a brave statement.(
  7. From an Oxford perspective he's helping quite a lot! 😉
  8. Apart from Dan Thompson only Sedgmen and Batchelor have a higher average than Worrall. I can't imagine they didn't ask Dan and if he turned them down who else is there? Toft? Vuolas? Given his past record at Leicester I would certainly have considered Seddgy though.
  9. Wildcards for Polish rounds are usually from the staging track's team, so Kowalski or Krawczyk would have been viable alternatives.
  10. Even if he has he's deserved them. Nine times as many GP wins as Harris. 5th last year. Bronze in 2023.
  11. I think it works like this: Rules state that for an unauthorised absence the replacement is a no facility guest [ i.e. 75% guest]. That is the default position. What a club may then do is declare the rider to be withholding his services and only then do they become eligible for a 100% full fat guest, and as a consequence at that point the rider receives a ban.
  12. It has been common practice for years for teams to make that choice.
  13. Because when he has been unjustifiably missing Plymouth have not used a guest for him. Instead they have gone the "no facility" route which means a facility of a 75% guest. Me thinks this would be better understood if the terminology wasn't so batrubbish contradictory!
  14. Not often one looks at a line up and thinks 'Slovenia must be amongst the favourites'
  15. Is it not because Palovaara has yet to make his debut so MM comes in as a 75% guest?
  16. But if crowds are (say) twice/three times that much wouldn't it just lead the application being turned down on traffic grounds?
  17. 8 day rule, can't guest on same track twice in 8 days
  18. Spectator excitement levels have rocketed as we search for cover from rain
  19. As the captain of the Titanic said about the iceberg. [There was no drone at Cardiff in 2023 because it crashed in practice]
