Been done already, the German Bundesliga has run with two teams (although it has now expanded by a massive 50% to three)

Middlesbrough Tigers , bit of a revue.

They didn't. -
Although I can see the rider who is 9th in the averages with a match to go having a couple of EFs in that match to get his average down to 10th.
-
Would it be so promoters doing early team building have certainty about riders averages? [Which would suggest a fairly high degree of confidence about next season's league format.]
-
That would imply somebody is making it up as they go along. ... so business as usual then!

Aren't all rules 'made up'?
-
First four will I think be in most people's list. But my fifth nomination would be: Nikolai Klindt [when not at Plymouth]

Issue 26 does not include matches after 23 Sept so Worky v Berwick needs to be added.

I'm sure that's what Jem Doncaster and the Witches fans thought at the Oxford leg of the 1985 KO Cup final. My all-time favourite rider, but 'most stylish' might be a bit of a stretch, there was always a hint of unpredictability about his riding which is probably the antithesis of 'stylishness'.

But maybe what he really needs right now is to improve his gating, so that might just be the perfect choice for him. 🙃

But 8% is the long standing practice -

Wouldn't Tai get 8% discount taking him to 7.97? -
Injured early in 2024 and hasn't ridden since.

The crowd was over 400 that day. From what I know of crowd levels the one that really stands out is Berwick.

Kemp is under 8. Klindt is the only rider over 8 at Plymouth And as Scunny, Workington and Edinburgh have no riders over 8 there would be vacancies at these clubs. This appears to be reasonable proposal to share out the league's top riders. There are 9 teams and 9 riders over 8.

But I fear the world series will be as one-sided as the NLCS.
-
I sense that the management's main grievance is the enormous guarantees paid out in return for modest performances. That would suggest to me that if the current structure remains a Championship team is more likely.

A familiar tale: 1. Speedway fans demand clear rule 2. SCB produce clear rule 3. SCB correctly apply regulation 4. Speedway fans winge 🫣

Is this Seth Norman's first 500cc meeting (bar the BYC)?
