Oh Dear, Lee Guilty Of Drug Possession
semion replied to martin_t's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
That Bloke Lee is nothing but a robber !!! He robbed me of years of seeing him ride. He was the best thing I ever saw throw a leg over a Speedway bike, yet he was washed up all too soon. Am I bitter that Lee used drugs ? To Bloody right I am. ! -
Belle Vues National Speedway Stadium

With Philip and Speedway Star's column the other week, if the future is so bleak for British Speedway what on earth is the point of spending shed loads of money on facility where the Sport is struggling for its very future ? -

I always take a drink into Cardiff. Its a good game to play, if they can find it they can have it. Next year they might need to wear gloves. -

It would seem Shadders you are about as popular as a fart in a space suit these days at Hoddesdon. Is it your Sparkling Personality that does it ?

King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July
semion replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
I am sure the lad will cope with whatever track condtions/size of track that is thrown at him. I do not get why people want to come up with negatives on what is a 15 year year old BRITISH lad with massive potenial. It is not something that comes along very often, surely as speedway fans we should be embracing it. -

For sure, I understand the criteria is different for the stand alone clubs, but surely you get more pleasure in watching an up and coming rider trying to make his way in the sport than perhaps a journeyman who has done his time but still gets a Buzz out of riding his bike. -

Sure it matters to the riders. It breeds confidence to win races. I was meaning from a supporters point of view, or rather mine. I just see it as watching young riders progress at this level and see their development happen almost on a week to week basis. So matters not who wins the meeting. This level its not all about winning Speedway meetings. -
Kelvin would be ok he could wear a shewee

Ipswich V Rye House (premier League) 20th June
semion replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well at least as things stand we know who the pride of Anglia is. When Lynn dropped down to the Premier League they won many many pots, and since Ipswich dropped down you won what ? You are right about the Good friday double header, but wee have a closer derby now to fill that void. -
Bernie, all anyone can say at this stage is, the makings of a good rider are there for all to see. For a lad of 15, he is a very special talent. They dont come along that often, but when they do I fnd it very enjoyable to see those formative years. Who knows who will get the pleasure of the lad next season. He is young, he is talented, and he is BRITISH. Surely that has got to mean something to any true British Speedway fan.

Vog I wasn't suggesting Lambert should go Elite next season. Just opening up a debate to see if people think is already good enough. As for Wuffy didnt he guest quite a bit in the Elite while at Rye? Also think Darcy Ward rode for Belle Vue a few times in his one season in the Premier League

Buster did a load of watering and track grading between heats 9 & 10. Look at the time for heat 9. As for Reade on T/R no Stoke rider was in the same postcode as Lambert after the 2nd bend. He really is a special talent. Someone is going to ask this sooner later but is Lambert that far of being Elite League standard now? Let alone in 12 months time. Can I respectfully suggest Mr Tatum challenge some his aggression toward the riders he has employed. Lucky that Mallet had an off night otherwise this really could been worse.

Looking forward to seeing Lambert around Saddlebow again. Where is Mimmo with his preview ?

So who can Hoglet get on the cheap to replace Knight ? Or is Compton nailed on ?

Stoke And Comments In The Kings Lynn Programme
semion replied to semion's topic in National League Speedway
According to Alllitt it was Nigel Crabtree who described the track as the worst its been. Allitt went on to describe the track as dangerous. Does anyone know who The Stoke promotor threatened ? What really surprises me is Malcolm Vasey has anything to do with it there. I always had a lot of respect for this particular gentleman. He also had a long association with Boston at Saddlebow road. Shame if he gets tared with the same brush. -
Reading Dale Allitts Column last night it appears The Kings Lynn Young Stars had all sorts to put up with at their recent trip to Stoke. Track in its worst ever state, and dangerous, riders not happy to race on it. No lighting in the changing rooms or toilets. The Stoke Promoter threatening to punch someone from the Kings Lynn team in the face. It appears Lynn are not prepared to ride in the 4's meeting at Stoke, and have applied to have it moved to another track. To think Stoke where once a respected Prmier League outfit. I am surprised a good old Norfolk boy like Malc Vasey wants to be involved with a club like that. Or is it all a storm in a teacup ?

Somerset Cases Rebels V Edinburgh 11/06
semion replied to Starman2006's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What an excellant nights speedway entertainment. All credit to Somerset adn Edinburgh. One thing I find amazing is. After a nights racing like we witnessed that people would want to come on here and talk about stuff like this rider rolling etc. What do some people want ? Call yourself speedway fans, seems like even after seeing a great meeting that had the lot, that a few would like to pick out any negatives they could find. Come on guys, get a grip. -

Why will his stay be short Mimmo ? I thought he couldnt move up a level until at least next April. The boy is certainly a talent, but the expectation level seems to be massive. Lets just remember he is only a 15 year old learning his trade. -

He never made one gate all night. Got left badly at the gate in heat 15. Tried to hard to get back on terms and over cooked. Imagine what this young man is going to be like once he learns how to gate. Can't wait to see him perform on a grippy Saddlebow track. Just hope people don't get to carried away as he is far from the finished article.
