Guessing they're hoping that we'll breeze through and being at such an event will be good experience for Cairns. If one rider has to be U21 how many are? Flint, Dan Thompson, Rowe, Edwards, Jenkins etc are all too old now.

Then it makes sense! Did rather well at their only home fixture so far this season against Silesia Świętochłowice Leon Flint 2 3 2* 2 2 - 11+1

Interesting that Ukraine & Germany have named their captains at reserve. Is there a maximum number of rides for reserves? Bewley & Lambert should be largely untroubled. Would have thought Dan Thompson would have been a better option than Leon Flint but I don't know either riders experience on Germany tracks.

Seems like Douglas was OK to walk to pits, so should be OK. -

What happened to Douglas? -
He has always said his favourite UK track was Kings Lynn if they prepared it right. I hope they get going against the Owlerton Tigers. Fricke had an exceptional season in 2025, new home track for 2026, you need to give him time. Kvech is a bit of an enigma, think Stars need to put Cook at #5, Kvech at #4.

I don't know why they bothered doing that TS, Aces could have used Bewley as a TS with Kurtz the heat before. Zischke would have beaten Lawson & Nicholls. My only thought is that they thought Blödorn needed 4 laps to get dialled in. And isn't that why Belle Vue signed the 'Ninjas'. He saw it once in 2021 FFS. SoN when he was reserve and the other two Swedes got injured.

The track was far too grippy in the first four heats, they graded & watered it again after the riders did there track walk. Plus Aces had gates 1&3 3 times in first four heats, gate two was offering nitro boost starts during that period. Bewley wasn't gating again but his battles with Brennan in heats 13 & 15 were sensational, best I have ever seen Tom ride. King was good for Witches. Edwards did well as Musielsk chipped in. Nicholls, Hellström Bängs and to a slightly lesser extent Lawson were dreadful. Cook was good value after his tapes exclusion, Kildemand can certainly generate some speed around the boards but it doesn't seem to get him anywhere! Good to watch though. Cairns had one good ride when he split the Witches in heat 8, was actually leading for half a lap but was riding to low and King was fast. More to come from Blödorn hopefully, first meeting back from injury. Zischke won heat 2 but that was about it.
