Ace's started 2021 with Wright at #5, which I'd consider "2nd heat leader". Sure Bewley surpassed him (& Kurtz) obviously, but Wright was "3rd heat leader" for the final 5 months of last season?

I'd be very surprised if any 2022 Ace is not involved in the Peter Craven meeting. So had assumed one of the final two would be NKI or Zagar, the latter being more likely as a former Ace. NKI was track record holder of the NSS during the first season the track opened but has had an awful lot of injuries since then. Lebedevs would be great, always good value entertainment wise. Was decent at SoN. Averaged 3.73 from 4 meetings in 2013 for Kings Lynn. Never been a GP rider, so what would his assessed average be? 6!00?

Fricke was in a struggling team and likely had to take more heat 15's than Doyle (same team as Sayfutdinov, Kolodziej & Piotr Pawlicki).

Impossible to say until Ace's are complete, but I can't see them being a strong as Sheffield regardless. I like the look of Ipswich. Not sure on Kings Lynn, depends what Kildemand is like. Wolves & Peterborough are underwhelming, but hoping a year at Monmore does Kemp some good. Fricke to top the Premiership averages.

Don't see any weakness for Sheffield. Holder will be as good as any #1 except Fricke, possibly Doyle. Musielak, topped the averages in the Polish 2nd tier in 2021 and knows British tracks plus Cooke, Howarth & Ellis. Frankly they don't need the reserves to score a single point. But Mountain & Neilsen will anyway.

Sheffield have compiled a great septet. They will take some stopping. But you never know what will happen. If all things are equal, only Ipswich can upset Sheffield currently.

Lasse is still riding? Kenneth, along with Broc Nicol. It's not Woffinden & Jakobsen, but probably the best available. Bjerre maybe a few years beyond his peak but will be a solid heat leader on a track he knows. It's getting to the now or never stage for Nicol's European career, which he must realise. Had enough time to become accustomed & more opportunities than the average Brit his age is ever afforded.
