  1. PETERBOROUGH have been dealt a major blow ahead of their mouth-watering Premier League showdown at Sheffield tonight (Thursday). Man-of-the-monent Robert Lambert has notified Readypower Panthers bosses he will miss the top-of-the-table trip to Owlerton Stadium. The 17 year-old was signed off due to illness after riding for Elite League club, King's Lynn, in their victory over Wolverhampton last night (Wednesday). Get rid!
  2. We could have dog racing between heats. Get 4 dogs at tapes with red, blue, white & yellow coats and tie a bunny (not a real one) to the back of a bike. We could have a one lap doggy track record. Anything's better than the invisible roving mic.
  3. with a 6.30 start and 7 races up to 7.20 it didn't just seem? Any Posh fans attending would have been well impressed. At the ABAX they'd have seen the first half and be waiting for some refreshment, whereas they'd seen 7 mins of action & had to put up with some bloke with a mic waffling away, with or without guests, from some invisible position
  4. Oh you do make me larf Tel. No one club can do as much damage as that lot but as we seem to be on their good side these days, best to roll over and have our tummy tickled I agree. If only Frost had done the same!
  5. That comparable to "OFF" tbh. It's the detail that's missing although I appreciate that apart from rumour or knowing a man who knows then that's as much as we'll get.. As Tel says, neither event has appeared out of the ether so what's changed? Bit rich about the air fence if true. Hopefully it's being rented and damage will be paid for. Usually, allegedly, they sit their beer on it our use it to stub out their fags.
  6. She played a blinder - better than a Tetley said “We do have riders who know the track in Kenneth and Nicki: 5+2 from 9 rides “Palm Toft was in the wrong and deserves every bit of stick he gets from our supporters at the weekend: 9 from 4 rides “Indirectly maybe he did us a favour because I’m more than happy with the team we’ve got now.” Panthers 56 Worky 36
  7. Although "OFF" is confirmation it's a bit short on detail which I thought that you were saying was on the website, but clearly not. If you heard the announcement then you heard the explanation, so rather that starting a thread short on detail which'll get some of the intelligencia excited, do it properly!
  8. I know that,. Considering the fuss I thought that there was a news item? "I'm sorry but this is a joke how can the stadium just become unavailable 5 days before the meeting?" Because if the EoES says jump then we ask how high. However they also added that this major event is on over the weekend and they wanted more preparation time on Friday - The MCN Festival of Motorcycling 2015 - we have some free dates available so agreed. Don't want to upset the landlords or let people know with short notice. Otherwise we have to invoke the health and safety excuse & we know what happens then. Handled competently by management IMO. The days of lots of space and access roads at the EoES are long gone. For set up it's one way in and one way out and events seem to want lots of set up time with nobody who isn't involved getting in the way or playing with their stuff!
  9. Is the the alternative to Panthers website now, because there'e jack on there where it should be!
  10. Are you onthe PT payroll? At least Panthers website sees sense: "Promoter Ged Rathbone said:" - they can't control the madbrush elsewhere
  11. What exactly were you expecting? That is modern day speedway!
  12. Doesn't answer the question of when on Friday they knew that he wasn't riding, as the Panthers news item said that he was? One assumes that his 24 hour sick note was issued hours before the Plymouth meeting? Who saw anything to say as such?
  13. That's the bit that's confusing. There's nothing in Panthers match preview or report which says that he was in Germany. If he was then he was never going to be at plymouth was he (I doubt that he'd be doing the round trip from Germany just for this meeting?), so you could have saved yourself the expense if that was the case
  14. Cheating the public at the very least for this meeting? "Teen talent Robert Lambert, who returns to Panthers colours at Plymouth after missing their three most recent meetings" was posted on Friday so when was it known that he wouldn't be riding? Did you see any tweets, news items or posts to say that he wasn't riding? Honesty stops people guessing or looking for a story which apparently isn't there.
  15. Keep us posted. I was prepared to accept illness, it happens, but benefit of the doubt is trying to ride off into the distance.
  16. Can't trust anyone called supremo, it's the local journo equivalent of the Timeform squiggle! Rathbone isn't working in the self interest EL though is he. Tetley no doubt got stitched up numerous times just because of where he came from.
  17. Personally I'd let Swales & Rathbone sign who they want, get it approved by the BSPA under some clause that's not written down anywhere, then watch the fallout on the BSF - now that's entertainment
  18. You may choose whatever treat you fancy as long as it sticks out of the mouth a bit. We just need to establish whether or not you're gonna let go.
  19. What's that Lassie? You think the BSPA make it up as they go along? Good Boy, have a bone
  20. I prefer natural progression. That should happen anyway with 3 leagues.
