Jeez you're bloody hard work. I didn't fall for anything. You keep making statements without evidence, or evidence that's superceded to show the opposite of what you say but you dig your heels in, never admitting defeat or even just withdrawing gracefully due to your know it all superior attitude. We'll call it a draw then although even that might be a bit too much for you. Now that zonkers has left us you're the only BSF member outside Peterborough that I know so I slag you off with greatest respect of course

Rathbone seemed pretty competent working within budget and it wasn't exactly a secret so when did it become an issue, surely someone noticed these press notices: PANTHERS SWOOP FOR HARRIS 4/12/18 - ANDERSEN MAKES PANTHERS RETURN 6/12/18 - PANTHERS IN COOK SWOOP 10/12/18 - WRIGHT MAN FOR PANTHERS 13/12/18 - DOUBLE SIGNING FOR PANTHERS (Bjerre/Barker) 17/12/18 - BRAD BACK WITH PANTHERS 20/12/10 inc - PANTHERS 2019 (Team subject to normal BSPA approval): Chris Harris, Hans Andersen (c), Craig Cook, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Charles Wright, Lasse Bjerre, Ben Barker. - note it doesn't mention anyone else's approval which one assumes had already been agreed.

Well you said we'd have no speedway without Chapman and that he was the only show in town. This indicates that both of those are wrong so on the basis of what we know (and I agree that the truth could be somewhat different but we're not discussing assumptions or guesswork) it's fair to say that you were wrong both times: Three ‘serious parties’ are interested in buying Peterborough Panthers

No speedway is the nuclear option though, so Chapman, or anyone with similar gripes which are pretty standard over the last 15 years, is preferable to nothing. At least that gives future options, closure does not. As for NL, that wouldn't last a season. Nobody will turn up for 4 riders 20 yards apart at the pacey EoES.

Best just to give him his 5 minutes of glory. Orion never admits that he's wrong and will keep replying until you top yourself! He said that there would be no 2019 Panthers without Chapman. Rathbone said that he would run Panthers 2019 whether or not the club was sold. Couldn't have been more wrong there but will still argue that black is white. In terms of a losing business, if he's talking about speedway generally then most will probably agree. If he's talking about Rathbone and Panthers then he should have scrolled further down the news item that he quoted because Rathbone also said: “Don’t get me wrong, we’ve probably broken even over the four years and maybe even made a small profit ". Personally I think Chapman was the only offer on the table and not wanting to lose his investment in the future or particularly wanting to carry on in 2019 he pinched his nose and signed a deal that seemingly started to unravel before the ink was dry.

No. There's more to life than speedway, and at 38 after a great career with a few too many bangs on the head I'd be thinking that I got away (to some extent although he's not out of the woods yet) with that one and perhaps it's best to bow out in one piece? It's their living though and they don't think like that as the article shows.

Kings Lynn v Poole Prem. 8th July 2019 BT Sports.

Amazing really that they are so fond of an unprofessional looking rag bag outfit. Says much about the sports standing though I suppose. Must have been a real eye opener when the smart looking Panthers turned up at Wimborne Road for the win -

Nobody wants anyone hurt and everyone knows that. You describe the standard response to such matters although some idiot always gets upset over it. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I never heard any cheers. Can't comment on Tungate because I haven't seen anything from him and am not interested anyway, but there doesn't seem much love lost between him and Ippo, or vice versa - Bloody good at the EoES though. -

Unless things have changed then that is nothing to do with the club but is down to the Showground management. There have been enough warnings on here in recent seasons about avoiding catering within the circuit. You'll be wiser next time. -
Perhaps poor was the wrong word but I like to see a racers track, which we've had a couple of times this year but that wasn't it. Each to their own I suppose. It's always good to have a volunteer to put the lights out at the end. Talking of lights, it was certainly something to see Tungate flying down the back straight in the dark with only on 4th bend lighting pole on

Don't think that he was having a go, just pointing out the facts about how poor it was last night.

This is where Johnson looked a bit silly with his comments because it was like that for the first part of the season but then settled down for a couple of excellent meetings when they took the speed out but then yesterday produced a track without speed and no outside line. When a home rider is chasing a back wheel going into turn 1 and chooses the Ryan Sullivan outside run, only to come out of turn 2 about 5 bike lengths behind then that tells you all you need to know. What's worse is that when we made a gate then numerous times we went mid track or outside going backwards to wave the opposition through. 7 heat wins v 8 should not bring a 13 point defeat on your own shale.
