I'm sure if they had it would have been produced and the reported outcome would have reflected that. It's like saying that if Peterborough had written proof that the BSPA did agree with the action: "The move drew a furious response from British Speedway Promoters’ Association (BSPA) chairman Buster Chapman even though it has emerged Panthers sought the advice of another member of the organisation’s management committee beforehand." It's all like the verbal agreements allegedly received from the BSPA regarding Andersen, Batchelor and Swindon at that time. It's all nod, wink and verbal without pen hitting paper and then when it goes pear shaped the conversation never happened, or at least not as understood.

Even with permission he has his own mind and knows his responsibilities. There will be plenty of days to choose bigger meetings and paypackets, this was clearly not one of those.

It has been suggested plenty of times since August that Poole was a factor but it has never been mentioned as such anywhere. This is as close as we got for the conspiracy theorists: "If the rider had gone to Poland and raced without the permission of his club he would have been banned for withholding his services for 28 days - this is not the case with Jack Holder as his club have given him their blessing and we have evidence of the true reason." It's easy enough to come to that conclusion but I don't think the evidence is in the public domain.

Stop people speculating and put some meat on the bones. All hell breaks loose at the EoES and what do we get from both organisations (having checked both their websites)? Naff all! The best they do is in Friday's preview: "Meanwhile Peterborough host Workington at the East of England Arena as both clubs move towards the end of their regular SGB Championship schedule. The hosts are at full strength with Tom Bacon declared fit after a spill in the win at Derwent Park last weekend, whilst Tom Woolley again steps in at reserve for the Comets, who operate rider-replacement for Thomas Jorgensen. Peterborough owner Ged Rathbone said: “Tonight is all about racing and keeping our winning run going. Everyone is determined to put on a show at one of the finest tracks in the country and remind us all why we love this sport. “Hopefully the supporters will stay behind us by turning out in big numbers.” Unless you knew what was going on, you'd think that of course it's all about racing and why the hell do the supporters need to stay behind you any more than normal? edit: True NEP, I got a phone call and you got there 1st.

I'm not convinced that it was quite that simple. Of course we'll never know because the detail is rarely forthcoming.

4 what? "Ourselves, Torun and Jack have come to an agreement that suits us all." - that's 3.

Have they? I thought that it comes under the "International Speedway League Bureau rules" wherever they've suddenly popped up from. Or does that only apply to league fixtures? I doubt it. In some respects it's done them a favour because it's highlighted a problem that they urgently (and I mean at the AGM) need to get a grip on and set down strong guidelines and punishments Allegedly he did "Torun did initially ask us to release Jack for the rest of 2017, but the rider himself refused that." but it hasn't worked out like that. Think the trouble is, when Poland comes calling you don't say no. It's not the first time and it'll not be the last while we entertain those type of rider.

If Rathbone has had enough then it'd take new owners as I can't see him letting someone else run it on his behalf, in fact I heard an unconfirmed report that such an offer was made a while ago and rejected? He wants to be involved not watching from the sidelines, as he's recently said during his suspension. Nobody wanted Peterborough Speedway after Frost so that's a real problem if Ged says that he's done with it.

One Tweet and all hell breaks loose for 5 minutes.

Used to be that way before anyway but whether the EoES would go for it now, who knows. Perhaps if they realised that it was that or no speedway with its regular, noisy use then they might. Sundays are no doubt easier for management, volunteers and supporters so something would have to change IMO to go midweek again.

Well that's cleared it up no end, always worth waiting for. I shall clarify this evening what I mean by cleared up as it's all too easy to be confused by such a tricky statement. In 2013 Frost said: "Crowd levels were disastrous in the first part of the season. They went up as the team began to perform well" - competent TM finally in place after years and a winning team, get the picture?

Just missed the p and somehow hit c & k by mistake.

If you really wanted to I'm sure that you could. Such obvious facts don't usually stop you

He's a Panthers fan so generally gets served up decent action.

Lines of what?

How'd you work that out?

Jeez, how unprofessional!

Glasgow Vs Peterborough 17/09/17 - Cl
Crump99 replied to Panthers89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If he's already commited to something in his diary and something more lucrative and appealing comes along then that's tough. He knew the fours were on and that Peterborough were taking part so I can't understand your forgiving nature. I'm buggered if I know what Rathbone was thinking.
