On second thoughts, having to wait an hour or more for a county ambulance to take you to hospital to have your bell removed means that you're probably best to stay at Foxhole. Also much easier to get there on and park your waddledickie -

You boys should give up Foxhole and start supporting Panthers. You're on our threads more than the boy and girls from the EoES. -
In what respect?

Not having a quality no1 who gates consistently and intimidates the opposition is a different issue from the coin toss and a slick one line track, if that's what you mean. You ain't gonna get one of those riders in this league anyway, and probably not in British Speedway the way it's going. The likes of Crump, Andersen, Poole etc (ie, when a 3-3 is the worst you'll get in heat 1) are long gone. 1&3 should be good for heat 1 and the first half of the meeting until the dust moves out and drys out. It doesn't matter what gates they choose if they don't wake up until it's too late, again! Although they never got back in this anyway. "We seem to start away meetings slowly and then get going a bit too late so it's important we gel together as a team and be on it from the first heat." - clearly forgot the get together and motivational management speech!
-
We never learn though, which is amazing given that a member of the management team should have seen it, done it, and more than likely experienced all of it (ironically with Swindon). Such agreements are chip paper. When push comes to shove, promoters will forget all such niceties and do what's best for them within the rules of the day, irrespective of Panthers turning into Neville Chamberlain (today's second history lesson!) again. As Neil said, it's clear enough what would happen. As for Holder, he has been the one bright spark, but even he needs a track to race on, not a slick one liner like we had last night. Everyone chasing the line near the fence, and that apparent fantastic gating display against a ragbag Redcar outfit now in the distant past. In that case you have to give your team a plan b of a raceable circuit - we didn't. Having said that, if we did then the scorline may have been worse. Mick Bratley (who I think I heard Tarzan mutter was there last night?) used to say that preparation for next season started in April so you're a bit late tbh. Take another day off mate.
-
Rathbone said the same in interview. Think that he added (sound was up and down and crap all night) that they checked on clashes and there didn't seem to be a problem but then fixture clashes suddenly appeared out of the woodwork (can't see how that was unexpected?) then Panthers were knackered. The system doesn't seem fit for purpose.
-
Nothing wrong with the shape, it's inconsistent preparation (too often slick one line as it was this evening) and the poor standard of riders we have to put up with these days that is the problem. The riders (well some of them) just not fast enough and can't cope with a decent circuit, and we have to be a 5 or 6 man team all too often due to reserves who shouldn't be in the league in the first place.
-
I just had to check that because I remember him looking way past his best and poor. My recollection was correct. That was 6 rides including a poor 4 point TR. One heat win keeping Ostrich & Starke at bay on a slick track, not too difficult, and didn't beat anything else significant.

You should do the website, it might then be accurate. If that's the case then buggered why it doesn't appear in today's news item.

And I replied. You're welcome to explain yourself further or offer a pointless reply. That is indeed the definition of a forum. -

Seems like the BSF isn't immune, one's latched on, although I'd have to change the spelling -

Who said that it wasn't? I agree with Gazc, 7 is always best and Barker may have helped Panthers to a point or better. Whether that will count in the seemingly forlorn play off chase, time will tell. I doubt that it's a lesson learned as popularity seems preferable to professionalism these days. -

Nothing wrong with the booking, the blunder was a lack of professionalism, but then again, Twitter is the new alcohol -

The usual diplomatic contribution. It's actually mostly a quote by your mate Hans Andersen, probably penned by your bigger mate Mick Bratley. It was in jest to what I thought was the no.1 forum idiot but I'd forgotten about you so good timing
-
Good to see second tier northern league speedway capturing the imagination. It's so interesting that some have confused the BSF with Mensa
-
Very slap dash. As a pedant, I care about spelling although not so much with names. As you say, people generally know who's being discussed.

Always worth the effort with me, saves a lot of grief

He said stick you on ignore. Sounds like good advice Seems to have worked.

I've had a word with Ged regarding your request and his reply went something like this: "I have got better things to do with my life than bother about what people are writing on internet forums. From personal experience I know how much nonsense and tripe appears on these sites. They are full of garbage and you can waste your life sitting reading it." - I told him that that was a touch unfair given that most posters are generally sensible, however, we agreed that you were an exception so you'll have to use the grey stuff between your ears, meaning that the meeting will go ahead as planned.
-
That's as maybe but that's not the point. At the end of the day he's riding for Richie Worrall and not for Panthers with the same desire for the team to win as your own rider. OK it works out for much of the time but is not the same as having Harris who I'd say still flies more than we hope Worrall does. The key might be if Starke (who I like so it's not a real dig) realises that the meeting starts before his third ride, when he himself starts to fly.

Guests are a gamble and rarely make you stronger. You're at your strongest with your own 1-7.

True. There's not enough wine gums in the world for my purposes
-
Not sure that Poland is ready for Fat Joe and Remy Ma feat French Montana and Infared. A class act though Holder is at the EoES, these maximums are doing my ears in. What a racket!
-
It was you with the bloody bell. I threw most of my wine gums at you. You must have thought that Oxfam were the meeting sponsors
