With a different track surface every meeting he'd be great entertainment though on the mic and at least make one of the over used interviews interesting.

Berwick 2017 50th Year

Shame that never came true. Another season treading water; same time next year! -
Take a day off for christ's sake!

I beginning to think that you and jenga are related.
-
We'd lose you though

I'd imagine that they jumped ship because it was cheaper and less hassle to jump on the back of someone else's success. It's not really achieving their aim though as who remembers sponsors is like who came second. I just think that they were out of their comfort zone with some of the paying punters but it was nothing that couldn't have been put right with the right people in place. They had class but probably not on your level which is different to no class.
-
I think that they cared or they wouldn't have bought it in 2008 or wasted their time and money for 5 somehow potless seasons. They just didn't seem to get the fan side of it quite as much as GR does, that's all, and let Bratters go who would have continued to bridge that gap for them. The current silence is very much in keeping with previous seasons though as Rodders would no doubt confirm so it's a bit same as tbh.

No chance of that when the life expectancy of a promoter at the Arena Bank is a couple of years; or less if it's the supremo! When Frost/Mahoney walked then any chance of stabilty went AWOL as well.
-
Hasn't that always been the case though? If you don't pick the logical team with decent management in the first place and then mess about doing nothing until it's too late then dodgy Dorset doings are unavoidable. With rain forecast today I suspect that a new rule will appear stating that if the meeting is called off at any time (even before it starts) with the Pilates in the lead on aggregate then the result stands.

Well if that's aimed at me then after the last 3 years I love Poland, despite allegedly voting BREXIT. I don't like the word Sunday either but wouldn't have gone there in the first place.

Interesting post for a change though.

if you want clarity then you're definitely on the wrong thread, especially if you want thinking included.

Nearly as scary as stalking Rathbone "So Berwick will consist of every rider that Rathbone has sacked?" -
Ol' 2 posts clearly has an agenda Rodders so I'd ignore it. We know that the only known thing about Peterborough Speedway is that no bugger ever knows anything,

15+1 from reserve and have you actually looked at who he beat? I thought that he was happy with his new era? It's me who wants to return to the cherished EL. We'd then have to put up with stevebrum and steveO, but to lose our Ippo colleagues, jenga and your good self it's an acceptable trade off. -
He was on Panthers asset list, along with the rest, which disappeared along with the owner it would seem before forming Dorset Panthers. Whether they were a separate item when Frost took or just separated for the failed Horton lease we'll never know.

I'm just starting off. It should be a cracker. -
Great number 92 and takes us back to your previous post: IT doesn’t get any better than 1992. Panthers won the lot - the Division Two title, the KO Cup and the Four-Team Tournament at the Showground. A new promotion, headed by Peter Oakes and James Easter, swept into the Showground during the winter. They quickly assembled a new-look side, only Aussie ace Stephen Davies remaining from the misery of ‘91. He was appointed captain of a team featuring popular Mick Poole, Paul Whittaker, Mark Blackbird, Rob Colquhoun and Paul Hurry. An unknown 16 year-old by the name of Jason Crump filled a reserve berth. It did get better though in 1999

Should be a cracker. Oh hang on, I forgot, this is speedway's equivalent of a broken pencil. -
Something usually turns up but it appeared bloody close to not doing so last time.

As Dick said, it's all a bit pointless anyway until we know what mess the powers that be ratify at the AGM. Added to that, until Rathbone decides, if he hasn't already, then we could be PL, EL or the owners could knock on the head if they can't find a buyer or someone to rent the rented operation.

Please stop, one only has so many ribs y'know.
