Thanks for the advice Star Lady. Yes it is that show, and if I can get them to swop for similar seats I will try that. Trouble is that show is so popular, I don't think I've got a cat in hells chance of getting anything quite so near to the front. There are three or four KL fans going to the show on Tuesday too, it's so frustrating. Oh sod it, I'm going to the theatre. Take Care, and enjoy it on Wednesday.

Damn, if it's Tuesday, I can't be there....bought theatre tickets!! Whatever happened to the days when you could rely on meetings being run on your usual race night?

To day has been a lovely day, yet at the same time hugely disappointing. We left Norfolk at 7.30am this morning, and drove to the Peak District to support KIng's Lynn im their speedway meeting at Buxton. We had a trouble free journey, under mainly cloudy skies, arriving at Bakewell soon after 10.00am We treated ourselves to a lovely fish 'n chip diiner in our favourite restaurant, shielding our eyes from the bright sunlight. We left there and went and sat by the river and enjoyed a very overpriced ice cream, when suddenly a text message came through saying it was raining in Buxton, some 20-minutes up the road, saying the speedway had been cancelled, and there was us basking in the sun and 22 degrees. We then moved onto Matlock, but found it impossible to park anywhere, so have driven back through Chesterfield, Mansfield, Newark etc., and not once has the sun dipped down. So how unlucky were we to be that close to our destination.....that was covered in rain!!

Phew, I nearly set off.

As he's not in the declared squad published today, I can only assume his appearance tonight will be as a guest. -
Kings Lynn V Lakeside 1st Sept 2016
Mimmo replied to Hornsey's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The latest set of team declarations have been published today, and not a mention of Nicklas Porsing having joined us. Rory is still in the line-up!! -
I'm at a race meeting at Rockingham Speedway with my nephew that afternoon (he's racing), which is just down the road from Beaumont Park so to speak, but yes, I am a bloody idiot for returning. I'm putting a lot of faith and trust here in Mrs Hemsley, and if she lets me down, then we'll go for a meal somewhere instead, because I 100% won't pay again. IDIOT....IDIOT......IDIOT.......YES.....YES.....YES I KNOW AM!!

I hope that both Rob and Dale are still involved in their current roles next season. However, if that wasn't to be the case, then how about Colin Pratt who lives in the town.

It's time the BSPA stepped in and tried to help the King's Lynn fans that are still in a corner like this, if nothing more than to keep the reputation of the sport in a good light. I'm not actually in possession of my tickets, and although it's an inconvenience for me to return on that date, I will so as to not lose out completely, even though Iversen will be missing again. Because I've got to be in London the next day, it's not worth me returning home after the meeting, as was the case on the 16th July, so I've got to fork out around another £70 for a motel again, and can only hope and pray that Yula Hemsley is true to her word, because I won't hand over any more cash.
-
Yula Hemsley has told me through a third party, that the names of my wife and I will be on the gate for the meeting against King's Lynn on the 10th September, as we are now in a position to go. If I get there and find they're not, then I'll bring the gate home with me..LOL!! That's good that you can now use your tickets em1500uk, but it's sods law that when your steam tour is rescheduled, it's probably clash with the KL v Poole meeting, or the National League Pairs Final!!!

I would keep Lewis Rose, Robert Lambert & Simon Lambert from this years squad, and try and build up from there. I'd also keep Niels if there was a 100% commitment from him, but the rest I would replace. But to be honest, I'll be surprised if next years league structure will be very much like this years, because it's just not workable anymore. I was at the Scunthorpe v Newcastle meeting on Monday, and that was all done and dusted in 1 hour 30 minutes, which to my mind, is plenty long enough to keep people hanging around.

What a fantastic 23 heats of speedway, a meeting that warranted more respect than what the mass exodus produced at the end of the Premier League meeting, which was an isult to those taking place. Well done Laurence for running such a professional meeting for the few of us that remained.
-
I would definitely return with a new management structure in place. I like the stadium, I like the majority of the fans there, I've always enjoyed the meetings there, especially the British Youth Championships, and you've got the best track shop in place since the date the club was established. I hope you do get a good crowd tomorrow because I fear it will be woefully low when King's Lynn visit, unless we are all paid back the money we are owed by then. Enjoy the rest of your season, and fingers crossed for a properly run club in 2017.
-
I got to the stadium, and the place is simply awash. Bloody Bank Holiday weather!!
-
As I said to you the other night, for those that have returned their tickets, and have proof of that, Leicester Speedway are committing a criminal offence as far as I can see. We have purchased some bits of paper (tickets) off them, and by not handing over to us what they've taken money from us for, is sheer theft, and they can not, or must not be allowed to get away with it, no matter what it takes.

King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16
Mimmo replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So glad you're coming Shale Searcher (weather is looking very good at the moment, so fingers crossed your journey won't be wasted), but please bring Messrs Hemsley, Machin & Darcy with you, armed with their cheque books, so they can pay all us KL fans money back they STILL owe us from the 16th July. -

That might be the case Hamish McRaker, and if that is so, then they should return our tickets. At the moment, they are holding onto something that I have paid them for, and that in itself is illegal, as confirmed by my solicitor. Last night I learnt of another nine people that are in the same boat as me.

I certainly can't think of a younger pairing. Jordan Jenkins & Sam Bebbe at the Mildenhal v Kent meeting were both 15-years old, by I think Whitmore & Hampshire are just a few months younger. Who ever said the MDL is a waste of time??
