  1. One of the rounds will be in Esbjerg according to a post on the German forum.
  2. Assen, Berlin, Inzell, Sanok ar artificial. The rest are frozen lakes, or flooded fields.
  3. Assen is a great welcomer for you in the icespeedway world The place is easy accessible by car or public transport. If you fly in to Schiphol (AMS) then you can pop on a train and two hours later you are in Assen. A rental car journey is easy as well as it's highway all the way to Assen for 1.5 hour. Train info: http://www.ns.nl/en/travellers/home Hotel info: http://ijsspeedway-assen.nl/en/location/accomodation The weekend already starts on thursday with the free practice for the Roelof Thijs Bokaal on friday. On saturday eve and sunday afternoon you will see the usual Grand Prix's. If you need more info, let me know :-)
  4. Weissenbach, Sankt Johann, Berlin, Assen for me If there will be a meeting in Sanok then I will be there as well. Love it there.
  5. Photo gallery from Grudziadz last saturday: http://www.baansportfansite.nl/nieuws/484/presidents-cup-in-grudziadz.html
  6. Doesn't look like it after all. The FIM Europe had a meeting last weekend but 'track racing' wasn't one of the topics by the looks of it (press release).
  7. And on eSpeedway.pl: http://www.espeedway.pl/news,grand_prix_w_warszawie_potwierdzone,73669,10.html Strange..
  8. The Adam Skornicki meeting last sunday was absolutly brilliant! Best entertainment all season for sure. Check out my report for some pics if you're interested For those who need a last little Polish speedway fix (like me), there are two meetings 'close together' this weekend Saturday 25.10 - Turniej o Puchar Prezydenta Miasta Grudziądza (Grudziadz) Sundag 26.10 - Łańcuch Herbowy Ostrowa Wielkopolskiego (Ostrow) Both meetings are individuals with both international and local riders, should be good.
  9. Oh dear, I'll contact this to my 'source'. EDIT: Tweet about the (wrong) date has also been removed I see
  10. Warsaw April 25 (three year contract). Two dates left... Gorzow and Daugavpils.
  11. Just got back in NL and Dudek wasn't there. The new jawa bikes were tested by old riders, including Sam Ermelenko.
  12. Official riderslist: 1 (45) Greg Hancock (United States) 2 (507) Krzysztof Kasprzak (Poland) 3 (3) Nicki Pedersen (Denmark) 4 (108) Tai Woffinden (Great Britain) 5 (55) Matej Zagar (Slovenia) 6 (100) Andreas Jonsson (Sweden) 7 (23) Chris Holder (Australia) 8 (33) Jaroslaw Hampel (Poland) 9 (75) Troy Batchelor (Australia) 10 (88) Niels-Kristian Iversen (Denmark) 11 (37) Chris Harris (Great Britain) 12 (69) Jason Doyle (Australia) 13 (71) Maciej Janowski (Poland) 14 (52) Michael Jepsen Jensen (Denmark) 15 (30) Tomas H Jonasson (Sweden) Substitute riders: 19 (19) Peter Kildemand (Denmark) 20 (20) Piotr Pawlicki (Poland) 21 (21) Linus Sundstrom (Sweden)
  13. Very interested to hear about licenses/insurances with these 'independed' meetings... doesn't sound very 'covered'. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to see Dudek back on track on sunday
  14. Nooooo... he was in surgery today to remove some metal in his foot.
  15. Think they'll pick Kildemand, Piotr Pawlicki and Smoli... We'll see today I guess.
  16. Kildemand #1 reserve please and to keep the German fans happy it would be a good idea to have Smoli on the list as well.
  17. Janek Konikiewicz hinted on a 'nice suprise' in venues on twitter a few days ago.
  18. Next year we'll see a round in Mildura (Australia) according to info from Poland!
  19. I put some rumours together with the confirmed onces and came up with this as a proposed calendar: 25.04 - Warsaw 16.05 - Tampere 23.05 - Prague 06.06 - Malilla -- World cup -- 04.07 - Cardiff Daugavpils 08.08 - Horsens 29.08 - Gorzow 12.09 - Krsko 26.09 - Stockholm 03.10 - Torun 24.10 - Melbourne Any thoughts on this? The green onces are confirmed. (updated on 14-10 9:49 am)
  20. Alan is right on here, I was there and we payed 25 zloty to get in. Drinks and food are unbelievable cheap, but hey that's PL (good for us western people). Many many people from all ages, really cool family atmosphere. Didn't see many 'paupers', just normal people enjoying a great afternoon of speedway with each other. I love it! Rybnik was my 27th Polish meeting this year and although it's quite a drive from The Netherlands, it was absolutely worth it once again. Took four people with me including three newcomers and they had the time of their life!
  21. It was an early start this morning but made it to Rybnik just in time for the meeting! Impressed by the huge crowd here, weather is lovely.
  22. Lelystad has a new owner and therefore the Dutch open meeting (and also the Dutch league meeting) at Lelystad speedway had to be cancelled. It was unlikely to be held anyway due to financial issues with the previous owner. The meeting at October 26 will just be an open meeting. For as far as I know there will not be a Dutch speedway champion this year.
