I would have loved soon as Sean retired to get him in as team manager or Garry Stead now etc anybody except what we have had to put up with in last few seasons, even Boocock was dodgy at times.

Because them 30 or so people who have travelled down want value for money performance from the team they are supporting, to folk out £100 plus to watch your team get battered and watch likes of Richard Hall look like he needs training wheels on certain tracks does not achieve that and with the way the points system works now it can be very profitable team a good away win or tight loss.

I think James Grieves was always capable of doing well round Owlerton and a lot of it is mental attitude of the rider, they visit these tracks every year and should just be confident in their own ability as a speedway rider whether if its on small or big tracks, fast or technical. If they can't grasp it like Hall on away tracks then maybe there just not a very good rider overall which is why i cant believe Machin and Hoggy keep bringing him back, i would have been well chuffed if we actually signed a rider like Grieves for next season to back up Steady and Wells.

Good luck to the lad and well done Buxton once again giving young riders a chance, exactly what the club is all about.

We have gambled quite a bit with this team and who knows how next season will go but i am quite pleased we now have 3 new riders who are now a asset to the club, sometimes it means nothing but it is better than a team full of loan riders. The only downside for me is Richard Hall coming back as he has had chance after chance but bring on next march i can see us becoming a strong home team again with Steady, Wells, Haines and Hall quite a good top four at Owlerton but away from home we could be on the end of some beatings yet again.

I think a lot of fans are just fed up of us being left behind completely by other clubs even the newbie clubs! I only pick and choose because of a certain promoter, once he is gone I will be back week in week out again.

Steady and haines - great signings Koppe and knight - no idea how they will get on Richard returning - might be a top lad but he promises every year to improve away from home and never does same as birko! Sorry Sheffield you had me back every week at the signing of steady and haines but will pick and choose, every other club is way more ambitious than sheffield it seems and hoggy just do one and let machin run the club how he used too!

Really hope Buxton do come back to the tapes next season, great club! Maybe have some standout car stickers for window and one for doors saying Follow me to Buxton Speedway, 3pm start! Try anything to catch the locals eye!

Good signing Koppe, better start to team building compared to last year!

Great to have Joe Haines back, lets hope the other 6 signings are positive ones now!

Neil machin needs to make a major announcement this winter in order to try and get the lost fans back and simon stead leading the side would certainly do that.

Big loss to the sport, a great entertainer but if he can secure himself a better future for himself elsewhere then who are we to argue against it, getting costs down for teams and riders is vital this winter!

It has been a great success really and the merger has worked well for both, maybe next season just call them Scunthorpe/Sheffield with no nickname then it can be just listed as that all season instead of one or other.

Massive well done to the Buxton Hitmen, well deserved and hopefully can now go on and win NL Playoffs !

you could evolve this though and not have the stig but if you know about the Harlem Globetrotters in basketball they are a treat to watch and great entertainment, now we could have our own speedway exhibitionist, riders doing donut, wheelies planned stunts (safely i must add) would be a great feature to fill in intervals. could use recently retired riders !

always enjoyed the visits by Mildenhall at Sheffield and hope to see brighter news in the near future and Mildenhall back on track next season.

When it stopped being just one big meeting ! I will be hoping Nicki Pedersen regains the world title.

no idea how i am going to get to watch this meeting as i dont have Sky but will see it somehow even if i have to buy it, Great stuff though that the mighty Jason Crump won and i kind of expected it with his recent form for Belle Vue including monday night.

the topic was getting started, not exactly an age limit on a topic is there lol

no because i had no job or money to get going, but with me having a full time job now maybe it can be done lol but maybe its too late also.

ive been looking at getting started for years but never known how to go about it, still only 20 and well a nutter in a way so think id be up for it, learn and see how far i can go, only other thing that puts me off is the cost but do have a full time job !

why cant speedway just be 7 v 7, no tacticals no nothing just 7 v 7 and see who builds the better team.

can i just say what happend is really bad and how can you be proud to be british with incidents like that happening but one thing i want to point out is can you stop saying we dont want to get like football fans, i have met up with many different fans from other teams before games, violence hardly ever happens if it does its miles away from ground. football is not like it was in 70's and people turn up sing and have some banter and then go home and talk about games on forums like these so football is definatly improving with fans relationships now. but once again i hope them guys get banned if they ever find out who were throwing stuff and shouting abuse no place for it in speedway.
