  1. I am afraid with regard to the importance of money we will have to beg to differ I would assume that it was quite serious affair otherwise I am sure SKY would have probably shown it quite unusual for PK to be the cause of it as he is one of the safest riders I have ever seen .
  2. If that is the case I have no reason to doubt your information why is Tai not riding for Wolves full time( are the extra fans sustainalble or is it novelty value) ,i am sure on your figures the finacial reward would overcome the race night issues as I think we would all agree money talks !
  3. I would agree with all you say in the broadest terms but I would love to know ( not a cat in hell's chance ) if the increased numbers at Wolves last night coverded the increased cost of Tai last night for the club .With regard to the big names I think that they would bring more people through the gates but at what cost ? the EL can't compete with the Polish and Swedish leagues with regards to pay or so I am led to believe. At the end of the day lets savour watching the w/chanp in the EL and hope that even over a short period of time there is an increase of interest in the sport in general .
  4. Having w/champ in the league can only be good for the EL but would be better for a complete season he did give 100% which is all you can ask of him though .
  5. Hope PK is ok sounded nasty just want him to get to the end of the season in one piece .
  6. We will just have to beg to differ if you are happy to have 5 rider teams in the EL with cheap labour tagged onto make 7 man teams so be it ,it has been said on a number of occasions the EL can't survive without the FTR riders and not by me I might add.
  7. Imo non of the above would stopped the a fore mentioned British riders from making the grade, if I was remotely convinced that FTR was anything other than making the EL a viable product then I would throw my whole support behind it but it is not .Nothing wrong with giving our lads a leg up as it were but this is not the way to do it . We haven't touched on the abuse of the system such as Coventry allegedly wanting Garritty to stay at reserve rather than "progress" to the main team !!!!
  8. IMO all of those would have made the grade regardless, FTR is money saving nothing more
  9. IMO Kelvin would be a great choice he is perfect in every respects , all round knowledge of the sport as an ex rider ,tech skills and he is still riding the bikes although obviously no longer racing .He has an obvious passion for the sport and has it's best interests at heart ,you can just tell that by the way he talks and I am sure he would get the job done definitely gets my vote .
  10. Spot on the FTR has ruined EL( it is only to save money there really) do you want the same in the PL ?
  11. IMO they can gate or not they are maybe able to hone the skill if they have it !!!
  12. I would have thought that being w/champ in any sport meant that you were the best at that time in the world which covers most if not all areas as it were otherwise what is the point of the GP'S?
  13. I would have thought leading a series which is supposed to made up of the best riders in the world would trump that IMO
  14. He is just so neat and tidy on the bike( just like Peter Karlsson another amazing rider for his age ) and makes it look easy that's why some many say he is "boring " which IMO is just not true.
  15. Think we are all on the same page here what IMO sets him out from the rest is his ability to adapt to the track ,machinery and also the track methods shall we say some of his opponents may use ,in the time I have watch s/way the nearest I have seen to him is Ivan Mauger .
  16. So I am not alone then in thinking that what we have now is no better than before !!!! Tai is 25yrs old not 46yrs old like his main rival so surely he can handle a few extra meetings !!!!!!!!!!
  17. What dose that say about Tai then ???? IMO Hancock is a different rider to those mentioned all brilliant riders in there own way but a lot comes down to the way they ride the bike and the demands they put on themselves .He has a very compact style and his size helps as well he has stayed relatively injury free which makes a huge difference plus probable two s/way career's of experience and a marvelous temperament which IMO was Crumpy's weakness if he had one .
  18. The way it is going Hancock will out last the lot of them ,can't quite understand the animosity towards him really except for the fact he is possible the best rider in the world at this time
  19. There needs to be changes to the bikes as soon as possible I watched heat 9 of last Monday's Wolves match( on their web site ) and even PK was fighting the bike and had trouble keeping the front wheel down at times .If a rider with his experience can't control these bikes something must be done and quickly ,it must be no fun for riders when they live in fear of being fired at the fence at any moment .
  20. I would love to get kelvin Tatum ,Scott Nicholls Rosco and Havvy in room and get them to give their own take on s/way today and where it should go in the future ,would ruffle more than a few feathers I am sure
  21. His GP mentor will be right by his side though even as he races perhaps
  22. Imo the pairing is excellent in every respect as you have an informed journalist who has a true passion for the sport and a well educated and articulate exrider who have formed an exceptional partnership which has become quite unique and I for one hope they are retained for the foreseeable future .
