I never said PK was a GP rider merely that he had throttle control that you say most of the other riders in the world except Tai and Greg appear not to have Tai was in a class of his own last night I would just like to see him against more equal tuned bikes other than Greg ,I want him to be Champ but by half wheel not half a lap.
-
Mauger may of had good kit but he didnot end up half a lap ahead that is the engine not the rider skill IMO So there are ONLY two riders in the world that can use a throttle never seen Peter Karlsson ride sorry Phil you way off the mark here .If given the chance to ride such super quick bikes the the rest of the riders may actually do the same and use throttle control but GM's have to be ridden to the stop ( so I am informed )andthey hang off trying to keep up with the rocket ships.
-
Sadly I am worried that speedway will follow F1 in that there will be 2or 3 riders (on rocket ship bikes ) that have an unfair advantage over the rest ,I am not in anyway saying they are cheating .If you end up with the best riders on the the fastest bikes you end up as you did last night with several races where TAI went from last to first in the blink of an eye and Greg knowing if he gated he would not be past .IMO Tai is a great rider and a credit to the sport but i think that the bikes he rides makes look a little better than he really is,we are told almost no other rider could handle the power of his bikes which I find an insult to the other GP riders .
-
I suspect that he is in this position as club captain and one of the most respected riders in the sport who IMO gives a fair and honest account of the team's( incuding his own) performance when asked dont think there is any altera motive.
-
Must be PK as well
-
Very true Freddie has not pulled any trees up this season but look at Holder a different rider in the GP's yet very average in the league as was Tai last year just don't understand why .
-
Think it is a little harsh to blame Adams for everything that has happened this year , I found the meetings I attended entertaining and with some good racing which is what I go to speedway for .I understand that many are upset at being bottom of the league never mind not being in the play offs but accept for a couple of extra meetings and the chance of winning the league( which is worth nothing in monetary terms as I understand it except paying star riders huge sums to win it or not ) what else has been lost in reality .Wolves are secure as far as am aware including a three year lease which is more than can be said for many teams and in this day and age that is priceless .IMO the visiting teams last night were full of track specialists and I am still convinced that the format is harmful and has made teams look worse than they are ,imagine facing Ivan Mauger or Ole Olsen 3 or 4 times a meeting and that's what is happening now.
-
Thanks always feel that I am the only one that thinks this .
-
Still think this format gives heatleaders no restbite what so ever unlike in the past where there were easier heats thus allowing riders that little bit of confidence they need .The standard of races from heat leader to second string are sometimes huge and that's what we have seen this season .IMO Freddie will come back a better rider next season ( should he wish to and the promotion want him) every heat for him and the other h/leaders is like a heat 1 and lets face it Doyle is on fire and Harris has hit form . If your on a roll as a team this format makes you look great but the margin for looking avearage or downright poor is tiny.

PK last legs wash your mouth out no IMO he is well placed still able to test and give excellent feedback a wealth of experience just a pity Tai ( would he be ceditible enough)can't get onboard rather than plugging his blood sucking tuner on the GP last night .

Speedway Satr Interview With Dave Swanton

Sorry I cant agree IMO I have no issue with riders stayng in the PL who achieve 8 plus average as you need a cross section of riders to make the sport worth watching. As to former EL riders dropping down agan I feel it is not an issue and they bring skill and experience which they are often willing to pass this on to the younger riders . -

Not impressed at all and to have a go at PK one of the finest riders that has graced our tracks proves he hasn't got a clue!!!! -
Think Rye would be a good fit as IMO he is better on the smaller tracks always has been just looks out of place on the big tracks but always gives 100% where ever he rides.
-
IMO the whole thing is being blown out of proportion but it is incidents like this that make speedway the sport that it should be ,I grew up with the likes of Jack Miilen &co and there is no arguing that they put bums on seats .I dont know Nikki or Greg in fact I have never spoken to either of them but I believe that off track Nikki is a polite, amusing and approachable individual and Greg is the smiling articulate individual and good embassador for the sport.IMO the great difference in the sport today as opposed to "Cazy Jack's" era is the speed and the that most riders are on the absolute limit just riding the bikes so any assistance in knocking them off balance on the entry to turning in can have extreme consequences.I dont thnk NP sets out hurt anyone but his action could lead to a serious injury and I dont think that GH intented any harm to him when he dived at NP .Both deserved punishment and got it but I would bet a weeks wages that we never see Greg pull the same stunt again but would not gamble a penny on Nikki not sending someone into the airfence ever again .

Wolverhampton V Swindon 10-8-15
FAST GATER replied to rudger's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sounds like a good match the warning was there in heat 1 with Ward taking the t/record IMO he is one of the top five in the world in this form and almost unbeatable ( just hope he keeps it together) as well as being a joy to watch.Harris did what was expected of him and who can blame the Robins for picking such a good guest they are enjoying areal purple run at the moment and the inclusion of Ward ( god knows what he is costing ) is a master stroke.I await the crys for the entire Wolves team to be binned off for next year but IMO that shoud not be the case .What you had last night was a rider in Ward that IMO Tai would have stuggled to beat even on his rockets ship and Harris enjoying the best form in the league for quite sometime. There is also the issue of the present formula that is only going to allow these kind of results to continue because there is no breathing space for the heatleaders and overall this IMO just makes their situation appear worse than it is .The FTS was really created to cut costs and it has but at the expense of the heatleaders scoring ability particularly if they are not on top form it just magnifies the problems for them and they have little opportunity to rectify problems such as setup because they have no easy heats . Imo take Harris out of the equation last night and the result would have been a little different a draw or a tight win with this formula the margins being what they are , IMO PK and Freddie would have seen off Morris . -
Spot on good post EDR is distorting results IMO and surely at least another season for PK
-
Well done PK off the deck and beating a top GP rider life in the old dog yet !!!!!!!!!!!1

Beast wishes for the future a fine example as a rider and a credit to the sport right time to go I think . -
Don't be too hard on Holder if you don't get it right this format chews you up and spits you out ,not his greatest fan but no one can argue he is a top line rider.IMO this format will give ALL riders peaks and troughs in their scoring but really happy for wolves to have pulled this off just wish I had been there to see this one.
